❄️ Knotts Taste of Merry Farm Made Me Cry!

hello everybody and welcome back to ordinary adventures i don't know why i always put on that voice when i do this why do you have like a hand coming out of your other i don't i don't know ho ho ho everybody and welcome back to ordinary adventures we're back in knott's berry farm for the opening night of taste of mary farm we're here to taste all the holiday goodness see the lights will there be snow i don't know come with us on this adventure [Music] we found the knoxville farm scott rufus and he has a girlfriend her name is gina she's very cute i love them they're such a cute couple they're like the new christmas couple yeah there we go rufus do you have a girlfriend so we just got into knots and they're all decked out for the holidays interestingly enough there's usually this big photo op right in the entrance when you come in and they actually have a photographer for the first time ever a knots photographer taking your photos and actually encouraging you to take off your mask for this one photo op of course you got to wear your mask all throughout the the park today except for this one photo op so that's kind of different than what we've seen over at disney when you first walk in the park they give you your food tasting lanyard as always that has all the different locations and all of the different food items but they also have these maps all throughout the park which you know is a little bit more helpful because it's bigger so my question to you is where are we going first because your girl is hungry in case you don't know knotts has been doing these food festivals where you get to come in and eat a bunch of delicious food knott's merry farm is 40 and you get to try five different items and trust me when i say there's like so many to choose from it was hard to narrow down what we're even gonna eat today we should mention that knots invited us out today so thank you knots hello there merry christmas to you how are you this afternoon doing well doing well thank you i am the ghost of christmas presents i am we are here with along with uh the ghost of christmas past and the ghost of christmas future to change the heart of ebenezer's cruise thank you nice chatting with you it looks so much bigger than it normally does it's heavy i get a workout okay who needs to diet for the holidays just do this and work out at each of these knots events they seem to be adding more and more food to the list this time there was literally so many different items that we had a really hard time narrowing down what we wanted and i think we narrowed it down to what like 25 things yeah and then we had to like chip away from there one of the things that i was really interested in getting was this euro and we got this at sutter's grill it has butternut squash slaw tzatziki pickled red onions and it's in a non bread it's huge too [Music] i have no words it's very often that i have no words this is so so good the meat is so flavorful that tzatziki sauce on top it was so delicious i feel like you can't really taste the butternut squash slaw is this getting the trademarked five kitchens yeah you know this gets five kids five out of five also from sutter's grill we had to get the turkey dinner tater tots these are tater tots that are covered with turkey stuffing gravy and cranberry sauce and they look interesting look at the like the red of that cranberry and the stuffing on top i'm as you know a connoisseur or a tater tot everybody knows peter don't worry hey there might be new new viewers to the channel so we need we need to tell them we need to make them aware let's see let's see if we can get like a little bit of everything on here oh yeah look at that these are some pretty good tops right here the cranberry adds like a tanginess the stuffing you know i don't think i love the not stuffing that they they usually use here again you can't go wrong with with the tops themselves and the turkey's good i just don't think that they're exceptional so i'm going to give it like a four out of five peter you know i don't give everything a five out of five peters like other people who might remain nameless so well i don't give anything a peter i give it a kit dress i don't know what you're talking about hey i have some tops to you why are you bothering me okay i'm boring one of my favorite things to do at like theme parks is just like the people watch just like watch it and i feel like sitting on the porch of ghost town grill watching like the people walk by is like i can just stay here and be peaceful because orange county is now in purple tier the amount of people that can go in different stores has been lowered so the capacity to go into the stores five guests look at that jersey look at how pretty the letters are they kind of look like gingerbread and they're all sparkly and then they have little santas down there and ornaments and all kinds of christmas goodness yeah this this looks very similar to the disney one right with like the pattern yeah yeah that was just funny that it worked out that way oh look there's a snowman right on the front they got all sorts of knots mary farm merchandise i'm guessing they expected to actually be open for mary farm so they ordered this before this became taste of mary farm i love this vibe that they've got going on this year they have all these three different ugly sweater patterns they have the knott's berry farm with the cattywampus on the side here you see them yeah and then we have this one which is just black with a wreath and what's going on here oh my god is that rufus yeah oh my gosh love that and then finally we have this one is kind of the more basic one but it's got those blues and berries of course yeah i'm just going to say look at these christmas ornaments they even have yeah you know it's mary farm lamp does it light it oh yeah that's so cool and they have these littler ones they even have a little not mary farm billboard so if you have like one of those small christmas villages you're all set of course they have a ton of snoopy knots mary farm merchandise and also the other peanuts characters you can even get a plush of snoopy wearing a santa hat you have all sorts of festive not mary farm things to keep you cozy if it was cold in california you could use these i thought that spirit jersey was my favorite thing in here but these are actually my favorite things in here i have christmas pigs peter like why do i need these you know i always tell you to get get whatever you want but i think you don't need those yes well i don't want to carry them around because they're very fragile but i'm going to think about it because i think these would be very ridiculous and cute one of the things that we love about knott's berry farm is not only do they have their normal retail stores but then they have craft vendors scattered all throughout the park this guy's here all the time and i i love these these wooden like i guess you put these in your front yard but like what happened to frosty here it looks like oh that looks like blood to me this one rules because i mean they have signs like this get freaky in the tiki we need that for our tiki room yeah if we had a tv room you don't want me to get the pigs but you want me to get this yes what about this one in dog beers i've only had one ah that i don't even understand what that means i think that means you've had seven oh oh okay i get it come classy leave trashy is that you yes i want one of each of these thank you it's interesting at past events they have had the citizens of calico dead or alive and at this event they seem to have the ghosts of christmas past and future and there might be scrooge and we've just come across the courthouse which has been turned into scrooge and marley counting house one of the crafters this year is an actual wood carver and he's here carving stuff with a chainsaw out of pieces of wood i heard that he had like a baby yoda but we we probably got here too too too late because i don't see the yoda anywhere the wilderness dance hall has been turned into santa's christmas cabin inside the cabin why do i sound like that inside the cabin that's where you meet santa but you should know you need to get a reservation you know because of covid they're limiting the space in there so you need to come i would recommend as soon as you get here come and get that reservation because it's almost 4 p.m now and we just got ours and we got the very last slot of the night another thing that we could get a workout from i know burning calories tonight so right next to the wilderness dance hall there's a booth that is selling this pulled pork mac and cheese and it's exactly what it sounds like it's pulled pork over mac and cheese and it looks like they have some like bread crumbs or something on top i love mac and cheese you thought i was gonna say i was a connoisseur i was ready not quite a connoisseur this was one of the top most anticipated items for me and this looks like a lot this is a huge serving of food i'm not sure if you can see this in here you got like these little pieces of pulled pork and then you also got the knots mac and cheese we're gonna get one one big helping of a bite that is so good it has the pulled pork which is just very tender has that not sweet and tangy barbecue sauce on top of it and then the little bread crumbs add for like a little bit of a crunch over the mac and cheese which not doesn't really have the best mac and cheese but they're getting better i think these are like bigger noodles this time i love this this is getting a five out of five heaters i mean i've only had two things so it's too early to say this but i think it was an early contender for best of the festival wow dang of the festival peter we just got here what are you talking about hey hey i i might i might be drunk actually i'm not drunk i haven't drink drunk in anything except for i'm going to drink something i got at this at this booth it is aces pineapple hard cider if you've watched any of our videos and you know that i love ace i love their pineapple hard cider so i'm not even sure i i need to review this that is a little different from the tap really yeah it's i feel like it's less sweet but i i still like it equally enough i you know we've already said that the aces pineapple party it's an ordinary adventure stuff it gets it gets gets the star yeah get it it's funny walking around knott's berry farm and you hear those chainsaws takes me back to not scary farm i was totally thinking that when you were eating your mac and cheese i was trying so hard not to laugh because the whole time it's just like it sounded like what's his name leatherface was like gonna run up behind you and start slashing ya with his chainsaw i love it look at that oh hello [Music] she gave us some christmas presents and uh upon for further inspection it looks like we got a mitch winnie pin oh and then the ordinary oh we're gonna have to open these all up but this is amazing thank you so much you guys how cute oh wait hold on what what is in yours what is it i don't know if you know this but i'm a god we have to wear these today thank you so much seriously there's also a black kyber one yeah and another connoisseur one oh my gosh how funny is that how awesome he's really our personal christmas presents for us yeah that's super cool thank you so much i know you're like sitting right over there thank you we love it from the wilderness broiler booth i got the turkey and brie deli style sandwich it has arugula and a boysenberry cranberry relish ooh boysenberry i know i didn't even realize that actually when i ordered it pretty good really all i could taste is the brief just wanna try some of that that relish give me the relish i stimp a french fry in the relish that is good but you didn't taste that when you took the bite of the sandwich no the sandwich is kind of boring i think and you know the fries aren't really that good either wait a second this is not gonna get five ketros it's not i gotta be honest i might skip this one so how many catrios i mean it was for this alone and like that little piece of brie gets like a two and a half catches out of five two and a half is average i feel like this got less than average i mean it's not bad it's just not good but i'm hungry so also from the same place we got blitzen's christmas tree bundt cake i was told that this is a red velvet cake with chocolate chips it has a cute little christmas tree which is actually an ice cream cone i mean this has got to be better than that sandwich right i mean i would think [Music] okay so this is all frosting it's so great right now i've got like a whole look what do you guys think of the backwards hat yeah with the teeth do you like it okay great i'm not get i see any of those chocolate chips okay there's one where right there they're hidden like they're presents or they're like reindeer poops right blitzing reindeer poop anyway i don't know i'm very tired very very sweet there's not a lot of flavor like all i'm really tasting is the massive amounts of frosting the cone is kind of like i don't know i wouldn't say like fresh it was kind of very hard to bite into but i say for appearance alone and because of those chocolate chips you're gonna do the five catchers aren't you four and a half out of i'm proud of you it's good it's cute you get that cute photo so i mean for that alone i think it's worth it now have you all been nice this year wonderful they all just scored an extra point on the niceness [Music] oh why am i crying it felt magical [Music] that was a really magical moment right there the only thing that was kind of missing was the fake snow the snow snow made out of soap coming from the sky like that that's something that i always love every year here at mary farm is they have like it snows on in ghost town like every like 10 minutes or so i get it they don't want people crowding around they don't you know we're in different times but that was kitra didn't even cry you didn't even cry when went to buena vista street i know but you cried everybody thought i was a robot but all you got to do is light a christmas tree and like have some magical music and i will cry it did remind me of that moment on main street where like the castle comes to wipe and then it snows yeah next year yeah knottsbury farm has such an amazing treat and it's hard to like really do it justice unless you're here it is a massive it is so big and i love like how simple it is with just the red and the gold and there's like a little bit of sparkle in there yeah i feel like universal and disney have both gone with like the blues this year and this is going with the reds yeah david what do you think i was just i made that same observation they went very blue this year at uh uh in downtown disney yeah this i love this yeah this is my favorite tree number one tree number one tree number one tree you heard it here first it's very classic i really wasn't expecting christmas trees this year so even though there isn't one in disneyland proper i'm glad to see him in downtown disney and at citywalk and here like it still kind of feels like christmas damn [Music] heart and heavenly these are our english hand bells you can tell their english by the accent i will take it for the fourth thank you so much we just ran into our friends ezekiel and cynthia from wonderfully normal and they were telling us about this peppermint cheesecake so that's over in fiesta village we're gonna go there now i gotta say i love all the colors in fiesta village like all these lights and they have like orange lights too there's like orange and yellow and greens and reds it's so beautiful you want to cry just admit it hey i'm not kidding i don't cry i don't give everything five kid tris it's okay to shed a tear for these beautiful lights peter oh mama thank you so oh my god these are huge wow i feel like that's your reaction to everything tonight work out is this like the mexican equivalent of the minions i don't know i think it's just a wrestler like wearing one of the wrestling lucha libre yeah i'm not saying it's a minion but like doesn't he look kind of like a minion like kid i mean i know yes he's a lucha libra i get it at the fiesta booth in fiesta village we got the chocolate peppermint cheesecake bars with white chocolate peppermint bark as you know i am a connoisseur of peppermint bark peppermint bark like makes it christmas oh that's good i didn't even like okay so there's a chocolate crust on the bottom of that cheesecake and look at how colorful that is i've ever had white chocolate peppermint bark before this is exceptional that cheesecake is to die for that chocolate crust this is like does it get any better than this i don't know but i'm gonna give this five feeders this is a worthy this is a worthy ordinary adventure star over here this is good that chocolate layer on the bottom almost tastes like oreos or something this definitely tastes like christmas to me thank you for the suggestion wonderfully normal this gets an ordinary adventure star from the same booth i couldn't resist this gingerbread cake with cream cheese frosting it looks amazing there's even a little gingerbread guy on top you know i'm gonna eat him first not my gumdrop buttons it's the second time i've done an impression in one week you're welcome okay that's just a sugar cube it's good though okay you know what this tastes like it tastes like the gingerbread loaf from starbucks which is like one of my absolute favorite things this is delicious it's not too like overly sweet it's just right and just like that peppermint cheesecake this is like christmas on a plate five out of five this gets the ordinary adventure star too i'm calling it right now last time we were here was for following and they had an incredible trick-or-treat trail through camp snoopy we were told to come over here because there's something special this year for mary far when we were walking through the trick-or-treat trail for following there's a bunch of skeletons everywhere and there's even skeletons conducting the rides and they were all named kevin and those packages over there say to kevin from santa does santa know not know that kevin died not even what i was going for peter i just thought that was cute it was too kevin i didn't i'm not morbid like peter what's wrong with you i mean he was a skeleton yeah you're right yeah you're right you're right there's kevin right there he's an elf now oh he was a dead skeleton but now he turned into an elf you know what it kind of looks like it looks like they just kept the skeletons there and like put clothes on it you know what i mean like super skinny yeah look at this hand it looks definitely looks like a skeleton hand found another present what do you think the odds are for kevin i mean all the presents were kevin where are they this is like the funniest thing to me this is why i love knox i'm sure there's like some kind of inside joke yeah somebody if you know why yeah who is ken yeah who is kevin are you kevin leave in the comments below no i'm i'm peter i'm ketra nice to meet you great snoopy is taking some socially distant selfies dressed with santa how cute is he look at his outfit i'd rather meet him than like actually santa i know should we wait in line to meet him who needs real santa it's kind of cool in between each guest like they actually come and sanitize where you sit in front of snoopy during following they had a candy corn family now they have a gingerbread family complete with the gingerbread dog what do you think his name is his name is ginger ginger snap good one come here little snappy come on come on come on snappy you know i don't think this coit out does the trick-or-treat trail at halloween but it's magical in its own like wonderful you know what this reminds me of what when i was a kid well we used to drive around with my family just in the different neighborhoods and like look at all the christmas lights yeah this is like that same sort of thing it's very beautiful did you have like that one neighborhood where like the entire street was like you know if there's a 10 out of 10 like every lawn yeah yeah it was called candy cane lane i think maybe it was called christmas tree lane or santa santa lane i don't remember but you know whatever it was it was magical it must have been a very special memory it was one time i remember because my grandma always used to tell me the story one christmas we went to go drive through it and it was closed for some reason and i was so mad that the entire car ride i kept just saying fart fart fart fart because that was like the only bad word that i knew so she would always remind me of that fart fart fart fart because i was so angry fart suck a rubble fart from the grizzly creek lodge i got the knots holiday bowl this comes with chicken tenders mashers corn stuffing gravy and cranberry sauce and it should be mentioned that this location is actually inside camp snoopy and this is the first time that like any of these places have been open to buy food or to buy merch they're all open now in camp snoopy which is pretty cool it is very large that is the theme with everything like this literally feels like it weighs like 10 pounds so i need to get a bite with like everything on gotta get the mashed potatoes the corn the chicken i'll even put a little bit of the cranberry sauce i feel like that's your new thing you just like point to the bowl and then say thumbs up this is very very delicious it tastes almost identical to the kfc famous bowl but not quite as good this probably gets i don't know like a four out of five it's good it's fun it's probably one of like the better things that i've had tonight and you're definitely like getting your money's worth from the same place we got the turkey big bites this has like it's a fried ball with turkey stuffing cranberry sauce and then it comes with a side of gravy that you can dip it into i remember getting these last year these these plates are so big that they barely go in there which is kind of funny but i remember liking this last year when i had it they seem way bigger than the ones we tried last year this is thanksgiving in a fried ball it took thanksgiving and you fried it into a big ball that's what this is you're giving things lower ratings today i'm giving everything five stars it's getting five peters wow this this is this is amazing this is like this is like one of those foods that shouldn't exist and it does and it's awesome it's getting a little chilly out so i wanted to get the warm apple cider just sounded so good and so like christmassy and festive and it's like a huge portion i was kind of worried because like we used one of our tabs for it and i thought it would be small but no this is like a grande at starbucks it's definitely nice and warm but it's not the best flavor oh i'm kind of disappointed why am i being so negative today i don't know a one out of five wow i'm gonna finish it because i'm dehydrated and i need to you know drink my liquids but kind of disappointing before we make our way to meet santa i wanted to just give a quick shout you know i think if you tried this snickerdoodle he would really enjoy them no i'm trying to come up with even something new and different also what about gingerbread oh no that's a good classic wooden milk i like that i like that something you can really dump in you know what we had we had a gingerbread cake i mean i know it's not cake is like totally different we can branch out we have a food challenge thank you so much merry christmas to you um while you're seated you're welcome to keep your mask on or off whatever you're more comfortable with just when you start to get up put it back on i was just thinking that like you know with this pandemic like your job is like the best job to have in the pandemic because you're never six feet away from like anybody they're all in bed i have a feeling your adventures are anything but ordinary sure let's take a photo why not it's not every day that we get to meet santa i know you guys have the best night ever you too thank you merry christmas merry christmas oh look at us peter i've never seen you that happy it's gonna be number two i love how he was copying me he's like literally he's doing my pose do you see that yeah that's great well they don't have the glow and snow shows that they normally have in calico they do have a light show i think it might be every 15 or 30 minutes and the lights and calico dance to the music and it's actually kind of magical so we came to knott's berry farm the day after we were at buena vista street kitchen was up all night editing we've both slept like four hours and we we we got here a little bit late i feel like we didn't get as much of a compliment we didn't we missed a whole half of the park but don't worry we're coming in again in december and we will show you everything that
