✰weinstein hall nyu dorm tour!✰(2020-2021)🌃

hello everyone and thank you so much for watching my name is haley and i am currently a freshman at nyu and i'm living in weinstein hall on the east side and this is my dorm tour i said i would film this a while ago but it got slightly off track by give or take six months you know better late than never right i remember when i first got into nyu and i was like going on youtube and looking at dorm tours there was like literally none for weinstein besides one from like years ago so i was like i have to make an updated one no matter like how much later and like delayed this is when i actually moved in i still need to do it so this is it and yes that is a halloween decoration behind me followed by a single bat on the door because we had put on halloween decorations and we forgot to take this down then we kind of we felt like we'd miss it if it wasn't there so now it's there forever all right let's get started so this is what you see when you walk into the room over here my room and i have some hooks with our like masks and stuff for when we go out and we have this little sign that's just our alyssa and haley's dorm that we made when we first moved in together these are our closets right to the side and we put curtains in front of them just to make it look less cluttered and in between them we have list swiffer inside the closet i have like a i don't know a storage hangy thing here that i put like sweatshirts and stuff in and then just mainly like jackets and sweaters are hanging up in here and there's a shelf on the top that just kind of throw random things you don't know what to do with at least that's what i use it for turning away from the closet we have the bathroom one thing that's nice about the bathroom is that there's a mirror on the door like a long ways one that's just provided like we didn't have to get that it's just with the room which is really nice one kind of annoying thing is that this it looks like a medicine cabinet but it is not it's just a mirror but it's still like a good sized mirror there's not real there's not really a lot of room in the shower so my room and i got this like uh storage shower set from a bed bath and beyond that we put in there instead which works really well if you get a shower caddy in this shower it will just hit off of this and then be like upright and it doesn't really work so don't get a shower caddy for in here this is my side of the room i have my dresser right here these are all like kind of narrow drawers for like shirts shorts or whatever and then the bottom one is larger so it's really good to put like sweaters or just thicker clothes in i also have a printer when i was doing research before i got here and whether i needed to get a printer or not most people said like oh don't get a printer you won't need it so i went with that i didn't actually get a printer but then i don't know if this is just covet thing or something making it worse but it was so hard to find a printer and all of the printers like never worked and were extremely unreliable so i decided it was probably best to get my own [Music] this is my desk where i do most of my work unless it's an 8 a.m class which will most definitely be taken in my bed don't be fooled this is not a drawer it's for a keyboard which i don't even know like how many people would actually have a keyboard to put here but oh well there are a few drawers on the side let's i don't even remember what these are for let's find out okay this drawer is um yeah i don't know my bad the second drawer i use is like utilities command hooks screwdrivers batteries extension ports all of that kind of stuff and then on the bottom i have all of my like music recording equipment like audio interface microphone etc because i take online classes all day and i spend a lot of time at the this uh desk i have a little rug under my desk which i highly recommend highly highly recommend i also highly recommend getting one of these lamps like this because uh the desks have like one plug up here that but also depending on what your room is it might kind of just randomly not work so i recommend getting one of these lamps because it has like a few plugs and i use it like all the time this is where i keep all of my makeup and like some scrunchies on the bottom i forgot my yoga mat right there keep that behind the printer because there's not a lot of extra space in this room so you got gotta do what you can i just realized i've had the lights off the entire time awesome anyways this is the full view of my roommate and eyes uh bed setup we both have matching vines on the wall and the lights over the window started out as like a christmas decoration but then we realized that we liked them too much to take it down which is apparently a common theme in this room but you know it just adds some character this is my bed all of the bedding and the pillows are from and the blankets as well except for the ones sitting on the piano are from bed bath and beyond and this tapestry that i really really love is from redbubble i keep my piano at the foot of my bed just because it's accessible [Music] one important thing to note is that the beds here do not come at least in our room i think it might vary room by room at weinstein but our beds didn't come with risers so we had to get risers and put our beds up in order to have storage underneath which you definitely definitely need because there's not a lot of storage in this room that's just already there under the bed i just have some bins like this oh my god i just realized that literally like in august i put those blue pieces of tape on there with the intention to write what was inside of the boxes and it's april 1st and i never did it that's really sad this one is plates this one is medical supplies this one is like towels for my nightstand i just have a rolling cart this is also from bed bath and beyond basically everything in here is from bed bath beyond because i just went there the day of move in and kind of got all this stuff it's very random though i mean we have saran wrap marshmallows and tea and some lotions in the top random assortment of food in here this is more like medicine and stuff like that behind our nightstands we have another kind of rolling trolley cart that we keep some more snacks and stuff in and that is where we put our galaxy light that's currently shining on the ceiling and my roommate's a coffee machine it's dark right now so it's kind of hard to see but our room in particular does not have much of a view some rooms at nyu have incredible views can see the empire state building we just see the west side of weinstein turning around this is the view of the room my roommate was the architect of this entire photo wall which is basically just purple artistic pictures some nyu themed in there and just like i don't know what you call these lights like raining lights i i think i think i made that up we take a lot of pride in our photo wall even though nothing sticks to the walls in weinstein which is kind of a problem but if you keep trying long enough eventually it will kind of stick up here there's a little ledge where we kind of designated that as for cleaning supplies okay well that pretty much wraps up the room to oh wait a second i did not talk about the fridge or the microwave neither was provided by nyu my roommate i had to get our own yeah okay that was my room tour thank you guys so much for watching if you have any questions about life at nyu weinstein applying to nyu i am i don't
