- Hello there. I'm Hannah Waddingham. Are you ready to go to bed with me? (relaxing music) I've kind of fallen in love with skincare. Being in my mid-40s, I try and mix and match things that are more expensive and less expensive. I'm absolutely obsessed with very, very good products, no rubbish in them. And there are some things in my regime that are more low key, and then other things that I spend the pennies on because I don't want to ever have any intrusive things done to my face 'cause I'm scared of needles. By the way, I've just finished a shoot and a press day for Ted Lasso season two, and hence the lack of dressing gown and the more made up than I would usually be. Don't be fooled. Okay, first up, let's get all the accoutrement off. All the bits and pieces. I've always used a cleansing balm. One, because I like it being a one-purpose thing. I don't really like a separate eye makeup remover, and I just think it really gets into the grub and into the makeup. So all of those bits and pieces come off. And first of all, ba ding! The lashes are coming off. I did this once and my daughter who's just about to turn seven was in the room and she absolutely screamed 'cause she thought there were a load of spiders in the sink. (laughing) I am a good mother, honestly. And then I put just normal white flannel. I don't truck with the whole, it has to be a certain this and a that. As long as your face is warming up, I think it, the cleansing balm can get in there. So let's get rid of these bad boys. I like to get it nice and hot. Okay, so I've got a nice, hot, normal flannel in the sink waiting. Grab myself a towel, dry my hands off, and then, first, I always use, it's in a different pot, but I always use Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. All about the trying to plump up your skin as much as possible. Use about that little bit. 'Cause I do think as well, if you put too much stuff on your skin, it kind of gets used to too many products. It would help if I actually took my other earring out. It wasn't a look I was going for. Right, here we go. Always go up. Get in there. I just realized you guys are gonna be seeing all the ridiculous faces I probably didn't know I pulled. Always up the neck. Oh my God, that's so satisfying. Look how much that already takes everything off. And it feels like it's feeding your face at the same time. So rung out hot flannel. Oh, bliss. I always think it looks like the (indistinct) when you take it off. (laughing) Up, up, up as much as possible, especially when you're getting older. I am an absolute obsessive, even if I was drunk out of my mind, I would always find the time to take off my makeup. I've always been like that since I was younger. I think you have to start young and really look after your face, look after your skin, and then hopefully you won't have to intervene too much with anything else. So look at that. I mean, you could literally stop at that. Then I get the Elemis Superfood Facial Wash. I always think it's really good to double cleanse. A facialist told me this years ago, it's really good to double cleanse 'cause you're not just getting the makeup off and the grime of the day, you're getting the dead skin cells off. And it smells so good. Really makes your skin super polished. There we go. That's that one done. Even if I did absolutely nothing else, they're such beautiful products that my face doesn't feel tight or aching. If you see, super, super clean and fresh, and actually feels quite nicely plump. So then every single night and every single morning I use this. If you can see that there. Hayo'u Facial Oil. And it's part of the gua sha system of lymphatic drainage. So I just press that on. And this is something that's really nice to do just as a, like a one-minute ritual for yourself every day. Everyone else can (mouth farts). And you just do your own thing. And these are my jades. Very calming on the skin, and I just hold them, especially in the morning if I'm getting up at like 20 past four in the morning and going to shoot, just hold them under there, like that. Hold them there and all up through there. But in general, a little bit of a pull away like this. And I won't bore you with it for any longer, but always kind of scooping up the jaw line, scooping in under the cheekbone is great. And then up, over and through the eyebrows. These are brilliant investment. Really good. Would Rebecca have a crazy skincare regime? I think she would have got more obsessed with her skincare regime as the weeks go on after her breakup with Rupert, because he leaves her for several younger women. What an a-hole. And also, now that she's back on the dating game in season two, she needs to look as dolly as humanly possible because she doesn't really know what she's doing. I would say to ladies who are trying to get back in the dating game, which I'm not gonna lie, I might've been doing myself. I think the beauty about getting older and doing all that later in your life is I think you probably know yourself a bit better than you did, and it's very nice to look in the mirror and see where you've been in life and all your experiences and all the lines and bits and pieces, but to just try and make the best of yourself, not only so you feel nice on a date, but so you look in the mirror and go, you're all right, girl, we've got this. And then we come to the fabulous Sturm. Brilliant molecular serum. This is probably my most expensive thing, but it's absolutely packed with hyaluronic acid. And like I said, when you're getting older, I'd rather spend money on the good bits that I know really work. And as I said before, no pulling down ever. Always just up, up, up, up, up and out. So that's that. And you can see it just, it's just packing the face with loads and loads of lovely moisturizer, moisture rather. And then after that, sometimes I'll swap it out with a really good basic thing that I absolutely love, and that's what I'm talking about, about the cheaper things, but not necessarily the most expensive things are the best. Weleda Skin Food Light. Absolutely brilliant on flights and just a real, all-purpose. It's like my version of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour. You can put it on your elbows, put it on your lips, really gorgeous and smells fabulous. You can use your on your legs. But it's something that always keeps my face calm and moisturized. And then we put a little bit of my night cream on. Charlotte Tilbury. I'm telling you, it's like honey for your skin. Just put a bit in the hands. I always start here because I think as you get older, you start to get these lines there. Just press it in all around the lips. Up through there. I suppose the person that's taught me most about, I'm being very lucky. I'm just putting the eye cream on. The person who's taught me, the people that have taught me the most about it are of course the brilliant makeup artists that I get to work with. They're just brilliant. And I love the fact that they don't always use the most crazy expensive things. I was very much tip the wink about Weleda. Can you see, I'm also putting stuff in all of the cheeky lady bits. But I've just, yeah, over the years, I've wanted to use less things that have any naughty animal products in, 'cause I say, leave the animals to do their thing. And just wanted things that, even if you're spending a lot of money on them, you can immediately see the effects of them. And I want to see my skincare through my makeup. I want to see that first. I want to see glowy skin first. Another thing I must just quickly say, even though I didn't it use now, I use it in the mornings, is this Oxygenation Mask by Shane Cooper. It is absolutely, I use it before I get on a flight. I use it when I get off a flight. And like this morning, I used it before we're doing the photo shoot. Absolutely brilliant, totally worth the money, and I'm not being sponsored. Just as a little heads-up as well, the writing's rubbed off because I use it so much. Alpha, Alpha Liquid Gold. It's a glycolic acid that you use. Can you tell I like my skincare? On a pad. You just soak a pad. So when you've done your, say for example, I would do my cleansing balm and my face wash. Some nights I would not put moisturizer on at all. And I'd just get this soaked on a pad and just sweep it everywhere. And it's like, it breaks down all the rubbish that's on your face. And if you have the confidence to not use a moisturizer afterwards, it's even better 'cause it gets deeper in and then can air itself. You wake up in the morning and you look like you've got a new layer of skin. That's brilliant. And also, I always, always, always, even in the winter, wear a factor 50 primer, but I wear it in the summer as well. I've been wearing it here in New York and in LA. Factor 50 Armani Maestro UV. Brilliant under makeup. And I've never, ever burned my skin when I'm wearing this, even if I've been in crazy hot places like New York and Italy and the like. Absolutely I think the best primer there is. And that's it. All done. Squeaky clean. All moisturized. And I'm gonna get some sleep. But check out season two, Ted Lasso, dropping on the 23rd of July. You are going to love it. (lips smooching)
