finally lucky the shelter staff told him the story of his golden retriever the dog led a happy life with his previous owner but the man got married and had a baby the former owner realized that he could not take responsibility and could not afford to keep the dog however he did not have the strength to look the animal in the eye and betray him so the man waited until the dog fell asleep and took him to a shelter thus the golden retriever fell asleep at home surrounded by his beloved family and woke up all alone in an unknown place abandoned and feeling unwanted this story moved the new owner of the dog the dog couldn't close his eyes at night because he didn't trust people and was afraid of being abandoned again when he returned home the man removed the fence from the door and
