Zoom H1 Essential Field Recording Test

hello and welcome thank you for joining me my name is Ryan and today we are taking the zoom H1 essential the new recorder from Zoom 32-bit flow handheld recorder out into the field to see what we can gather you're actually hearing me as I'm speaking through the zoom H1 in mono mode it records in mono and stereo so I thought we would start by recording a train passing by and see what that sounds like so that is why I'm Meandering under this tunnel because there's a train track above us and it's the perfect location for recording trains e well that was just spectacular very much enjoyed that and we are now Meandering on Into the Wilderness to find a stream which isn't actually that far away from this train track and uh I wanted to get some nice really soothing sounds from stream and see what that sounds like so when I get there I will show [Applause] you [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] that was very nice but this not so much this poor sheep was uh stuck on its back so I had to take a little detour to um help poor thing I think she's uh I think she's been like this for a while and I was like I can't just pass I those are some people that walked past ahead of me and I think they thought that she was dead cuz they looked a little concerned and then they were like no no than they just carried on the only reason that I stopped was because I saw her little leggies waving around in the air and I was like uh no she's still alive she needs a little bit of assistance so yeah I know this isn't field related but you know we like nature we got to respect nature we got to assist nature she's oh there she goes oh she's a little unsure on on her feet um but I should say that I stuck with her for a little bit of time after this um around half an hour and eventually she was back on her feet and everything was beautiful and happy again and uh she waddled off like nothing had happened no thanks or anything which was a little bit rude but anyway back to the field recording stuff sorry but got to look look out for those sheepies beautiful are you like now what than God to I'm afraid your hair is very much like mine what about you shter you g to say hello hello well you're just beautiful are you no it's not for eating appreciate the noises thank you very nice you look like you're about to fall asleep so after being the savior of the sheep and harassing some poor horses in a field just trying to mind their own business I went to a few other locations and I thought I would just pop them all in here one after the other for your enjoyment [Applause] [Applause] and that is all we have time for today but thank you very much for watching I hope you have enjoyed the video and found it helpful and insightful uh if you have any questions feel free to ask me and if I don't know I will do my best to find out and answer those questions um it's Zoom if you happen to stumble upon this video I would be Most Blessed if you would bestow upon me in your graciousness a cheeky Zoom H4 e or a H6 e would be very much appreciated and uh I realize that's very cheeky of me but if you don't ask you don't get um however I have not finished with this yet I very much love this device and I'm looking forward to making more videos and exploring more of it so take care and until next time thanks for joining me bye-bye
