[Music] [Music] the Internet is a vast source for both entertainment and information with subjects ranging anywhere from comedic to heartwarming or in today's case downright unnerving and enigmatic welcome to the sixth installment of shrouded truth on today's episode we'll be discussing a YouTube channel known only as deeper a page that's gained wide notoriety for leaving a trail of cryptic messages referencing actual unsolved homicides and missing persons cases deeper was launched in May of 2016 and quickly drew attention from users on 4chan after a hidden link to the channel was posted in code form the channels videos were all short usually ranging between ten to thirty seconds long and didn't appear to make much sense on the surface one video in particular stood out a video called listen those following the channel early on a Sudha notice that the clip which on the surface appeared to be nothing more than an open field was actually much more that weird sound you heard at the end was actually a hidden message that when converted to a spectrogram translated to Stephanie and Bauman a 15 year old rape and murder victim from Colorado who was found dead way back in 1980 this is considered an open case that remains unsolved to this day there simply is no way that I could fit every single detail of the story into one video so I'll just explain the main points as this was all unfolding online the owner of the YouTube channel was dubbed the angler killer because of the darkened image of an angler fish that was used as the channels avatar it's also important to note that some videos have been removed and some details have changed since this topic was buzzing the name hidden in the audio of that initial video soon led people down a deep rabbit hole of endless cryptic messages mostly surrounding hexadecimal Caesar and Visionnaire ciphers along with a heavy use of Latin and theme surrounding stalking and hunting naturally the public's attention was first drawn to the titles of the videos due to their enigmatic nature it was soon discovered that the first video's title was a hexadecimal code that translated to a Latin phrase along the lines of they have followed the third videos title translated to stock and another video simply titled 25 actually contained another message in case you couldn't make out the text from the spectrogram here it is that may not seem to make much sense right now but the title 25 was actually a hint that this was a Caesar cipher and to use key 25 to decrypt it once translated it reads a Darcy Anderson yet another murder victim from Colorado who was killed in the 1980s another videos enigmatic title consisting of letters and numbers was decoded translating to a link to a screenshot from another video called mortem only this time this sequence was superimposed onto it once decoded another link was found this time containing an audio file mortem wav one converted to a spectrogram it gave out the name edith Bernice Lehner's this time a missing-persons case in Colorado that goes all the way back to 1995 soon after as the angler posts of this and deepers channel description at the bottom were coordinates leading to a field next to Curtis Road near Colorado Springs another hexadecimal code was posted alongside the coordinates that translated to this this time it turned out to be a visionary cipher which for those of you who don't know requires a key word in order to be deciphered unless you want to do with the hard way since the coordinates pointed to a Curtis Road Curtis was used as a key word successfully translating the sequence into this finally this was discovered to be a NAT Bosch cipher and ultimately translated to Karin Denise Aguilera another Colorado murder victim whose body was found of course in an open field near Curtis Road were the coordinates pointed to another video featuring nothing but 14 seconds of a ceiling fan actually turned out to be a clue to deciphering its titles meaning this was yet another visionary cipher this time with a key word fan that translated to I loved all of them shortly after this the VHS style video stopped and instead clear HD videos surrounding the themes of cleaning and disposal took their place [Music] well I'm not saying that any of this is real the implication here as far as the deeper channel storyline goes could be that the angler has continued operating in the present day and we've yet to identify the rest of his victims as I said there really is no way for me to cover every single detail of this channel but I highly recommend that you check it out for yourself every video has some kind of clue or message to it if you look hard enough so I want to know what you guys think about all this and while this channel
