- Being Joe on camera is like
being in a straightjacket. I can never say or do anything and then I just strangle
somebody really intensely, but don't speak. Hello, we are the cast
of "You," season four. Today, we're playing "Who
Said That?" with Elle. - We will be given a line
from season one, two or three and we have to guess
which character said it. - Some of us were not in those seasons, but let's see how we do. - Okay, I'm first. (energetic music) "Right when you thought
you just might disappear, "he saw you." A, Ambyr Childers as Candace, B, Elizabeth Lail as Beck, C, Victoria Pedretti as Love. - A. - I think it was C. - Yeah, it's either C or A. - I think it's A. (buzzer buzzing)
- What? - Oh, come on. - Right when you thought
you might just disappear, he saw you. - Ah.
- Oh, it's the poem. - Reading between the lines. - Oh! Yeah, season one feels like
it was another lifetime ago. It didn't have this lovely
supporting cast as well. - Aw.
- Aw. - And I'm not just saying that. Every season the supporting
cast has been phenomenal but there's something
special about this one. "Runners high is better than sex "and for some, may last longer." Oh, A, Penn Badgley as Joe, B, James Scully as Forty, C, Shay Mitchell as Peach. It's definitely Peach because she's citing that
Joe lasted eight seconds. She's like, "And for
some, may last longer," and I think she's sipping a straw. She's like, "Some may last longer." - Yeah, I'm gonna go Peach there. - Okay, Peach. (bell dinging) - Runner's high is better
than sex and for some, may last longer. - It is a fully different cast
than crew almost every season which is not typically something
you would want with a show. But being able to make so many friends, don't get me wrong, I don't
talk to these people on camera, but being able to have new
faces and new places to go, it's kind of taken me all over and it's done a lot of things so it's a been a huge experience in a way. - "She was pulling away
from me, I could tell." Is it A, Jenna Ortega as Ellie, B, Saffron Burrows as Dottie, or C, Zack Cherry as Ethan. - Jenna Ortega as Ellie. - Yeah, do you know what? I feel like it was A,
Jenna Ortega as well. - I would say B, Dottie's
Love's mum, right? - She is, yeah. - Oh, no, no, no. I think Dottie then. - I think that she in
this case could be Love and I think it might be her mom. - Yeah, I can tell you you guys are wrong. - Is it Ethan? - No, although shout out to
Zach Cherry, another icon. It's A. - Oh, it is A. - I'm not good at this game. - She was falling away
from me, I could tell! - Jenna Ortega, it's like, I don't know, is she just getting started? I think maybe. No, of course, Jenna was phenomenal. If we wanted her to come back, probably couldn't get
her 'cause she's huge now as Wednesday and all her other roles. Jenna's lovely. She was also on my podcast. Let's talk about my podcast. (all giggling) We're gonna have all of you
in the podcast by the way. - Been waiting for an invite, it's fine. "I will earn back your trust. "I will do whatever it takes." Penn Badgley as Joe, A, B, Victoria Pedretti as Love, C, Tati Gabrielle as Marienne. - I feel like it's Penn,
but it could also be B. It could also be Victoria. - I think it's Victoria. - I think it's Penn. - I think it's Penn. - I'm gonna say Penn. - I bet you're right. (bell dining)
Oh no. - See, I'm not. - Almost, Tilly. - I will earn back your trust. I will do whatever it takes. - "Something in me knew that
it was too good to be true, "but I just... he convinced me. "I let him convince me." A, Elizabeth Lail as Beck,
B, Tati Gabrielle as Marienne C, Marielle Scott as Lucy. I think A. - I think B. - Oh, for God's sake, Tilly. - I am not team Amy today. - No, I think it's B, I
think it's B, I'm not sure. - I think it's B. (bell dinging) - You're all right. - Something in me knew that
it was too good to be true but I just...he convinced me. I let him convince me - I love Tati. - She's just so lovely
and like actual sunshine. So she just had such a lovely energy. She's really cool. - I went to Paris with her for a weekend. That was fun. We snuck into some fashion shows. It was great. - "I'm not a maybe, I'm the one." A, Amber Childers is Candace,
B, Zack Cherry as Ethan, C, Penn Badgley as Joe. I'm pretty sure it's C. - I think it's A. - I think it's C. (bell dinging) - I'm not a maybe, I'm the one. So I do the voiceover most of the time before, unless we're later in the season and there's no time to
record, sometimes it's after. But I almost prefer the voiceover because it's very spontaneous and free and being Joe on camera is like
being in a straight jacket. I can never say or do anything and then I just strangle
somebody really intensely, but don't speak. For the other cast members,
they have to act with me and learn very quickly that I'm usually not gonna say anything back to them. So they have to act very much like they're not hearing
themselves being dressed down. - I remember the first
episode, try not to laugh hearing a British guy tear us apart and then just smiling at
you waiting for our line. - You're right, you're just smiling at me as though I'm not judging you. - I think I probably had it the easiest because my scenes with Penn,
we were actually talking. I don't feel like there
was as many thoughts in the scenes that we had together. Maybe after the first block,
I got pretty used to it, but Phoebe's a bit of
a chatterbox with Joe. So I feel like she doesn't even notice that if he's not talking back. She's so in her own world. - "We are perfect for each other." A, Victoria Pedretti as Love, B, Tati Gabrielle as Marienne C, Elizabeth Lail as Beck. - Love.
- A. - It's gotta be Love, Love. - Yeah, pretty sure it's Love. - Yeah, it's Love. (bell dinging) Icon. - We're perfect for each other. - [Interviewer] Is Love coming back? - We can't tell you that. Sorry. - I was rubbish at it. - I think we were pretty damn good. - I think we all supported one another. - We were all right as a team. - Oh, I was playing quite solo. But anyway, great work team. - Go watch "You" season four on Netflix. - And subscribe to Elle.
