Yodeling Fool - Wylie and The Wild West

well all right folks thank you we're getting close to that time of the evening where it's time to do our last song but it's a yodeling song and it's a true story back in 1996 i came up with a little three-note yodel for a small company and then they were very small they were named yahoo a small startup company yeah they still named yahoo and they had the three notes that they made pretty famous they go like this you may have heard those three notes they're my only hit it's a short song but a successful song but we wrote a song about it it's called the yodeling fool it goes just like this oh small town boy from montana he wore a red bandanna with a guitar always close at hand left by his intuition he had but one ambition to become the greatest yodeler in the land you could find him on the streets in the alleys and the bars correcting and perfecting his tune but now the townsfolk just laughed to turn their back she was the local youth well he practiced every day he practiced every night his song seemed to be his only friend one day he disappeared in them towns folk cheered hurry we'll never have to hear him again well no longer on the streets in the alleys and the bars could you hear his loves him too food all right once again we have scotty wilburn on the electric guitar and the fiddle and that me on the drums mr david reynolds and over here to my left are smiling irishman mr raymond doyle yes what a crowd what an audience ray i think this crowd deserves some honest-to-goodness cowboy music i think you know what i'm talking about the old stuff some hardcore cowboy music you guys ready let's give it to him here we go and i'm looking for some cowgirl some west side cowgirl no no no oh that felt good i have no idea where it came from but it sure felt good well one day farmer bill had his truck parked on a hill with his radio blaring across the town who should he hear coming in so loud and clear it was that local yodeling clown it was heard up on the streets in the alleys and the bars the boys that reigned so true well that lucky little duck he earned a million bucks from that internet giant yahoo foreign the world's longest yodel oh thank you very much you've been a great audience keep a smile on your face we'll see you down the trail you

I worked with Wylie back when he recorded this yodel, which was long before Yahoo picked it up as its jingle. Wylie is the real deal and a great guy as well as a great yodeler.
