YEP! STILL TERRIFYING! | Iron Lung (LORE UPDATE)

FBI open up all right everyone welcome back to welcome back to iron lung this is a game that I never wanted to look at think about or least of all play ever again and that's not because I think it's a bad game I just hate how this game makes me feel so apparently this game got a lore update I am very interested in its lore so I'm just gonna play it again okay so for those of you who don't really know what iron lung is all about this is basically it for some strange and seemingly unknown reason all habitable planets and stars just kind of disappeared out of nowhere and in search of answers we are exploring a sea made out of blood yeah it's great ah yes familiar voice that is some awfully clear blood might I add I feel like if you were in a sea of blood you wouldn't be able to see anything oh yes back in the luxurious iron lung so beautiful just like I remember it okay so this thing right here is apparently what the new update is all about so let's see this is a local database be sure to update before each descent last updated today okay so the last time I played this I kind of had a feeling like I'm the one that wrote this but looking at that achievement apparently this was written by the last person who was in this submarine whoa what happened what happened to them I wonder I'm on query I what way I slash P seven eight can I not put a slash in there I don't understand what oh that did something the consolidation of iron or COI is a Brotherhood of three space stations and two spacecrafts found on the principle of collectivism and ruled by the popular vote of all citizens remembering 257 at the time of this entry its name comes from the Iron and steel materials it's two main stations are constructed from and the principle of unity and togetherness in the face of Menace from other surrounding stations such as Eden Eden Eden space station Eden is the largest man-made structure that still exists in the wake of The Quiet Rapture it was formerly the main station for Mars and the populace still maintain a strong sense of Martian patriotism and Independence making them a constant threat to the sanctity and security of the COI it has a current population of 468 and is the only known remaining trees in its interior Garden the COI considers even a threat to all Collective well-being after their attack on filament station okay all right so there's kind of a lot of information here who was hoping I wouldn't have to hear that until I actually started playing the damn game the quiet Rapture I want to learn more about that in 357 EIC without any prior warning radio contact with our respective planets was suddenly cut nobody can recall having visual contact with any planets when the incident occurred or experiencing any unusual phenomena so it's uncertain what exactly might have happened upon investigation it was observed independently by several stations that where there had previously been planets nothing remained further investigation over the following months revealed that all known planets with sentient life flora and fauna a habitable atmosphere or any sort of Natural Resources were likewise gone along with all known Stars the only celestial bodies that have been found since are either uninhabitable moons or asteroids many theories have been proposed for This Disaster including religious interpretations of it as a literal Rapture some unknown Quantum anomaly or something more Cosmic and Sinister there are no concrete answers yet okay so so far all I've been able to take away from that is that there's some sort of relationship between these space stations apparently bad and then this whole quiet Rapture thing started happening all right I guess the only way I can see if there's any actual changes to the game itself is by playing so I'm gonna play a little bit before I go back to the terminal okay so we're now at our first location let's see what comes up all right so we got that anything important happen that I should know about okay what was that one thing I think what was it EIC yeah okay the EIC is an Interstellar calendar standardization adopted with the establishment of the first off Earth Colony on Mars in 1992 A.D 1992 A.D so does this game take place in the past then it was and is the predominant calendar used throughout the known Galaxy although before the quiet Rapture many debated switching over to a more standardized measurement of years IMC or Interstellar Martian calendar was especially popular owing to a large population residing on Mars after the quiet Rapture all stations and Starship alliances still use EIC aside from Eden which uses IMC okay what is what is IMC known commonly as IMC the interstellar Martian calendar is an alternative to the more widely used EIC it was poised to be officially adopted by Mars before the quiet Rapture whereas EIC is based on the rotation of Earth IMC is based on the rotation of Mars meaning that one year an IMC is about 1.88 years and meaning that one year an IMC is about 1.88 years in IMC I think I think they meant to say EIC for one of those that's all right currently only Eden a former Martian space station uses IMC filament station was the fourth and largest space station in the CLI until 362 EIC when tensions between the COI and Eden erupted in a nine-day battle on the station the conflict battle ended unresolved when Eden troops resorted to sabotaging the station's I'm pretty sure that's supposed to say reactor but okay resulting in a critical breach redacted the breach left filament station uninhabitable due to high levels of radiation and it has sat empty since prisoners taken during the conflict have been undergoing conviction realization in the years since but the final ones expected to repay their debts and integrate into COI Society by 381 EIC okay so that kind of answers one of the questions that I've been having about this game then which is who we are as the prisoner like what it was that we did reading this I'm assuming that's what we did we were probably part of that sabotage all right let's carry on a little bit more and then I shall go back to the terminal okay next picture is that satisfying okay all right let's take a look at can fiction realization a Humane form of Criminal Justice by the COI where crimes are repaid by rendering service to the general Collective often this is by performing surveys maintenance or other similarly beneficial tasks redacted okay so yeah that would be about us so literally we are just a criminal who got caught during some sort of sabotage I guess and we're supposed to be repaying our debt now Mars the fourth planet from the sun and the site first off Earth colony in 1992 you see Mars was most populated planet in the solar system before the quiet Rapture surpassing Earth in 143 EIC now all the remains of Mars former glory is the Eden Space Station so Mars is gone and I'm assuming that means Earth is too which makes sense because that's basically what the quiet Rapture is oxygen oh God [ __ ] you know hearing any sound that isn't the sound of the sub moving at this point is just terrifying to me doesn't matter what it is it's gonna scare the [ __ ] out of me there we go I want to see what happens if I type in the entire one of four in-service underwater crafts fashioned by the COI for use in conviction realization in the blood oceans it is designed for deep liquid photography and Analysis redacted all rumors of the sm-13 and similar crafts being used for so-called mob Justice by way of force Suffocation or otherwise have been proven false I don't know why anybody would even think that that's that's insane you literally said I haven't seen it right now okay what about the blood oh [ __ ] an unexplained phenomenon that has been identified on four separate moons since the quiet Rapture Moon at5 and moon Z8 Moon at5 and moon Z8 are the most notable locations as they are under the control of the COI enough research has been conducted on the blood itself to determine that it is indeed human blood but we have not discovered where it comes from or how it keeps its liquid form the ocean on at5 is of particular interest because redacted [Music] that's so weird this sub is moving around in human blood that is that's kind of disgusting okay you know I'm just gonna go ahead try John along here hope nothing bad happens sure nothing bad will happen dang how crazy would it be if some scary looking angler fish thingamajig just kind of burst through the back of the sub baby this is so weird yeah oh my God you know I really wish my friend here would just maybe stop talking I don't know what his deal is noisy bastard he'd make a really bad neighbor you know and you know honestly honest I say that for two reasons one reason because he's just loud as hell and the other reason because he's probably just break into my house all the time okay so it should be a straight shot at least to the proper x-axis so I should be able to take this just to 560. without any problems but we all know that something's going to come up that's not to me dude and there it is uh exactly what I said something has indeed come up it's fine we'll just put some Flex tape on that God you know I was really hoping that this wasn't going to be as bad considering I've already played this game but nah nah it's pretty much just as bad as I remember it hey hey hey man what a douchebag just kind of flies by me like that doesn't even bother to say hi you know yeah yeah that's probably for the best oh God oh God oh God I hate this one so much I hate this one oh man yep that's that's still horrifying what happens if I take the picture again and it's gone yep there okay all right cool but hey now I can I can look some more stuff up I'm an 85 but redacted this entry has been redacted see blood oceans for more information oh well okay what about Moon z h the site of one of four known blood oceans and one of two such moons under the control of the COI redacted Moon Z8 has historically been used for the realization of cui convictions until the discovery of moon at5 but but but but okay oh yeah okay how could I ever forget the lovely skeleton of apparently according to that achievement of what is not a whale I don't know what it is but it's not a whale in case you were wondering okay so I have reviewed all these things like so many times now at this point and I think I've covered pretty much everything I can't find any queries that I haven't already looked at so I guess really the only step now is to just play the rest of the game out to be honest so I played the rest of the game and it was pretty much the same as last time it spooked me a little bit here and there but I didn't really have any reactions that warranted making this video longer than it needed to be especially considering that I already have a full video where I play the game and have no idea what happens but I did find something kind of cool that I wanted to share if you go to these coordinates and take a picture you'll discover something really interesting you'll find the wreckage of another sub with sm8 written on the side if you type this into the terminal you'll then be prompted with this hopefully they don't redact this before updating the database what most people don't understand is that not all subs are built equal the SMA isn't a burner sub it really is for exploring and surveying blood oceans if they send you down in the iron lung they don't give a [ __ ] if you come back or if the sub comes back because it's a pile of garbage and you're a piece of [ __ ] you come back with photos great you sit down there and suffocate quietly even better but if they send the sm8 down one of the scientists is piloting and they all expect them to return and now the SMA is in the blood ocean in pieces no not hit or Rock pieces or sprung a leak pieces it looks like something tore it up and the weirdest thing is that nobody else seems surprised we might have found the first planetary life since the Rapture and they're acting like it's no big deal I know you you're next in line for realization in the iron lung and usually that means you won't be seeing the Stars again but they don't have an SMA anymore they have three burner subs and a lot of curiosity about at5 and maybe that means you have a chance so yeah just a cool Easter egg not much else happened after that if you haven't already seen my original playthrough of iron lung I highly recommend checking it out okay bye
