in the last 12 months I have found myself reviewing four table saws and this could just be the best one yet in this video I'll be going through the skill table Source features to allow you to decide whether it's worth your money and spoiler alert it's very good included in the Box you are going to obviously get the table saw itself and I'll be going through that in more detail in just a second but in terms of accessories you do get an included MIT gaug the MIT gaug can be slotted in on the right hand side and it just very easily Clips in for easy access and the miter gauge does have a slight bit of wobble when it's in the track here so very similar to the Dewalt table saw and the M gauge also allows you to turn up to 60° in either direction should you need to I also really liked that it's got the insets here so if you do want to attach a piece of wood just like this then you are able to bolt it through which will allow you a greater surface to actually rest the timber that you're cutting against you get this very nice blade guard one of the really nice things about the blade guard that is included is that is actually toolless so you can take off the insert plate here there's a little lever down here that you flick upwards and what that allows you to do is just extend the ring knife right up and with that extended you can then put your insert plate back on turn the little dial to lock that back into place and then using the lever on the back of the blade gu just lift that up lock it into where it fits and then push that down and then you have effortlessly put on the blade guard to allow for safer cuts and should you decide that you do not need to use the blade guard then it can actually be stored underneath the table saw like I'm showing you now you also get this very nice push stick which is conveniently mounted on the front of the table saw and I've got to say I really like the mechanism that they use to allow you to store this it's in a really convenient place and you can just easily grab it when you need it you get the dust extraction adapter and if you find yourself without dust extraction then this can be removed and swapped out for this downwards pipe here what this allows you to do is aim all of the Dust at the floor when you're not using it it just Clips nicely into place here underneath the saw you've got these two blade changing wrenches which can be easily unscrewed to change the blade should you need to and let's not forget the included 10in finewood blade you do also get this Allen key with this screw on the back which means you can easily just make adjustments to the saw and calibrations should you need to however as far as can tell there's nowhere to actually store this so you are going to need to just hope that you don't lose it in the long term it's a pretty common thing to have but yeah just watch out for that and it has to be said for a budget table saw the build quality here is amazing the engineering that's gone into this is excellent and I would even feel confident enough to say the build quality could go up against my beloved DeWalt tablea now in terms of features I'm going to start off by going over one of my favorite features about this table saw which is the rack and pinion fence and what this allows you to do is Twist this gear at the front of the saw which allows you to move the front and back of the fence support at the same time which means you should never end up with an unparallel fence compared to your blade and once you positioned your fence at the right distance you can lock it into place with this lever underneath here the entire saw actually sits on top of the four legs that are attached to them which can be easily collapsed by just pushing in the red button at the top of each of the legs and once you have collapsed the saw there is a carry handle on the top so you can easily move it around something else that's really nice on one of the legs you can actually uncp this and spin it round and that is going to slightly adjust the length of this leg and what this allows you to do is if you are on an even ground is just to make sure that that fourth leg prevents that rocking which is a really nice touch weighing a total of 24 kg it's fair to say that this is a very lightweight table saw so I don't particularly miss the fact that you cannot attach this to a rolling stand and the skill don't sell one that you can upgrade to I do however find it a little bit annoying that where the blade guard is stored underneath the table saw does actually Bang into your thigh as you're walking along with it which isn't a huge deal and you can take it off if you need to but I've personally found that if I'm moving this saw long distances it is a lot easier to use the red handles on the top of the saw and carry it this way on the front of the saw you will find the on button as well as the off flap you will also Al find this spinny handle which very quickly raises the blade to your desired height and you also have this flap here which can be easily lifted to allow you to turn the blade up to 45° and should you want to go a little bit past that there's also this button underneath which can be pushed in which allows you to then move the saw up to minus 2° in One Direction right up to 47° on the other direction there's also a ring knife that is attached to the back of the blade which will prevent any smaller pieces of Timber flying back towards you and this ring knife can actually easily be adjusted by removing the insert plate and then lifting the lever that's just down here and then you can push it outwards and actually either lift that up if you want to attach the blade guard or push it right down if you would like it out of the way now for those that are interested in the maximum ripping capacity I will push the fence out as far as it will go and then measure from the blade right up to the fence and it looks like here we have a cussing capacity of 500 50 mil however there is also the two extended pins on the end here that you can move it to just to give you that additional 100 Mil which brings that capacity right up to 652 mm or 25 1/2 in for those that work in Imperial measurements and if you do find yourself needing to cut particularly wide boards then the fence actually includes this support rail which you can use to rest your Timber on whilst you're pushing it through and checking the blade it will give you a maximum depth cut of 95 mm in terms of calibration I found that this saw was pretty much perfect right out the factory there were a few slight tweaks that I had to make for the fence alignment and luckily that is easy to do using the included allen wrench by simply adjusting the front screws on the front and back track one nice little Innovation is the way that you can adjust the angle of the blade skill have included a very nice turn handle underneath the saw that can simply be twisted to adjust the blade angle and if you're not sure how to do it they've even included some very handy instructions right next to it and whilst all of these features are great you obviously are going to want to know how well this table saw is at cutting through Timber so I have tested some of the most common Timber Types on of this table saw I started off with some simple pallet wood I then moved moved on to this mahogany I also tested it on some Oak here I've got some Spruce and I also ran through this 18 mm plywood and it has to be said that this finewood blade really comes into its own here the finish on all of these Cuts is absolutely great and certainly for the price of this s this is definitely not going to disappoint with all of that said and done I think it's pretty clear that this is a tidy little saw the things that stand out most are the tallest features most not the blade guard that sits on top as well as the Innovative way you can adjust the angle of your blade I also particularly appreciate the compact design of this saw for a 10-in table saw they certainly have packed in a hell of a lot of features for the money and whilst I'm on money it's got to be said that for the price point that this s is expected to be available in the UK it is very very competitive I would argue that this is probably the best budget bandel on the market right now and as much as it pains me to say it's pretty difficult to make the the argument to spend the extra on something like the Dewalt table saw and that has been my go-to table saw on this channel for the last 12 months so you guys know I'm taking this very seriously in terms of things that I think could be improved on this saw well they're mainly Small Things firstly it would have been nice to have had a small slot to store the Allen key that comes included I also think it is a bit of a shame that skill do not sell a wheelie trolley that you can upgrade to certainly the thing I enjoy most about my Dewalt table saw is the fact that I can just wheel it around so when I'm moving it long distances I don't have to worry and also as far as I can tell there's actually no way to remove the legs on the bottom of the table saw so if you are someone that's looking to have this table saw mounted in your Workshop then you will be losing out on a little bit of storage space underneath it but that's just my opinion if you already own this table saw then let me know what you think of it in the comments below hit all the relevant YouTube buttons you know what to do and if you already own a table saw then make sure that you're avoiding these common woodworker Mistakes by watching this video next and until next time happy building
