Wrong Site Chest Drain - Patient PoV

Eagle and sorry it's taken me so long to get to you my name is Steve and I'm the doctor on tonight Thank You doc so it's just been Manik see that's running all over the hospital and so doctor offer told me about you and you've been short of breath and had some chest pains yes yes particularly on the on the right hand side yeah it's been very painful on the right hand side right okay and he explained what we thinks go you've had the chest x-ray and it's shown the popped lung today in Spain all that it says infection and a pop lung that's right fine and did he explain what we need to do you said a little bit about a drain thing that's right into much that's right so it's it's basically a tube and so it will give you some local anesthetic I'll make sure it's all very clean and so you should really as the anesthetic goes in okay then I should be pushing and it's basically just get the tube to where the air is between your lung and your chest wall so okay it drains it all out and I'm already you've had this before yeah I've had pop lung on the right hand side before right okay so okay fine so infections on the right side I am and and that's where you pop the lung so and had the x-ray fine probably just crack on without as though I better just have a quick listen if that's all right yes of course no is just it forward yes please thank you deep breath me great yep so some crackles on the right there and nothing really on the left at all but yeah and I can hear all on the right great and let's get everything ready I'm thinking of it thank you doctor about everything and some asperity war isn't it since I mean you've got fire proper checklist for doing this procedure and everything no we don't use an obvious you know now that we leave all the revenue you think we just that's great get on with it and yeah so many other things to do sorry okay right so you've had some before mr brignall right yes and so like I say bit of local anesthetic that should be the most you feel then a lot of pushing and I'll make sure we're all clean as you can see and if I can get you to roll over to your left side and if you have your right hand behind your back and go ahead Doug okay just gonna so just gonna lift your gown up here you you
