explain and then we're going to build on top of it in the following weeks okay so i'm going to give you traditional formula and then an alternative way of solving it uh later and you can pick and be multiplied to 2 over 1. i'm rolling that inside quantities that would be two so the answer is two hours two hours okay so that is the first option if you are taking you algebra class nino or pre-class nino this is the type of question or this is the type of solution mari now there is an alternative way of solving it now any alternative there is another option but and again um if they work together and again you have to understand that this type of trick will only work is this number one step one would be to multiply them so 3 times 6 that would be 18 okay and then the next step that you're going to do you're going to add them okay so you add column 3 plus 6 that would be nine so it'd divide column so 18 divided by nine is equal to two okay so the answer is two hours okay so that is just a quick trick but again that only works if you problem if fixed sha minigame individual individual tapos is all right now the best way for us to learn if quiz i'm going to 1999 you two problems uh suggestion would be first is of no using a traditional method my formula and then you can use your alternative method to check the answer okay okay and if you're ready with your pen and times 1 that is 3. so this is 3 over 18 plus and then u 9 18 divided by 9 is 2 times 1 that would be 2 so 3 plus 2 and then x is equal to 1. so this is going to give us 5 over eighteen x is equal to one parameter five over eighteen multiply that in both sides by the reciprocal which is eighteen over five so omaha nito is equal to 18 over five okay or mi mix number nine that would be three and three over five okay three and three over five hours that would be 3.6 hours i hours and minutes you're going to now have to multiply 3 over 5 by 60 if you need a hand up young video on converting units of time so that would be 60 times 3 over 5. okay times 60 ito that is a hundred and eighty over five okay so it divided it so this will give us uh three and six so 36 minutes so three hours and 36 minutes okay so again um depending on the options exam options so you will then need to convert which is the reason why i explained that to you quite quickly okay now gabitina you're checking the method okay so again you know first thing is to multiply them so six times nine that is going to give you fifty-four typos six plus 9 is 15 so 54 over 15. okay now if you notice but i'm divisible that's a three so it'll lowest terms not in sha when you divide three that would give me 18 over 5 which is the same as okay so again speed technique 18 over 5 okay okay number two now if you notice this time we have kathy dan and edgar now yeah isn't it for trying to solve it if you're using the traditional method it's the same thing takes cassie for hours to stock the inventory so you have four sedan naman takes 10 does the same in half the time it takes then you again level up the type situation exactly we now how long would they take if they all work together that would be our x and then of course you in vendor inaudible um we're going to be a little bit more careful but it's the same process lcd no 4 10 at 15. okay that would be 20. 20 divided by 4 is 5 times 1 that is going to give us 5 plus 20 divided by 10 okay times 1 so 20 divided by 10 is 2 times one that would be two plus and now we have twenty divided by five which is four times one that would be four okay now um is seven plus 4 that would be 11 over 20 x is equal to 1. paramount 11 over 20 multiply that in both sides by the reciprocal 11 over 20 that would be 20 over 11. this will be x is equal to 20 over 11. now who's not incoming mixed number that would be one hour and 20 minus 11 that would be 9 so 9 1 and 9 over 11 hours okay 11 so nine divided by eleven that would be uh i guess going two decimal places point eighty two so one point eighty two hours congratulating go in minutes that would be uh 9 over 11 times 60 okay so that would be 540 divided by 11. that would be one hour and 49 seconds around up not in 49.1 minutes or 49 minutes okay so yeah you need to get that in now whether it be this this or this is the traditional method make sure that you ask them whether it be fraction now the next question would be can we use and 5. is we multiply them okay so we multiply one and not in so now we have 40 times five uh that would be 200 over tap assume sumnila 14 plus 5 that would be 19 okay so 200 over 19. now if you notice uh 20 over 11 again okay so again um this is just an example of how means i'm always teaching or trying to teach you faster ways of solving problems than exam okay now
