hello guys my name is jhon arief and welcome to  my channel and for this moment i just want to say   happy new year and wish you all the  best okay uh today uh we're going to   continue with our table saw project this is  part four and this time we're going to build   table saw fence with the micro adjuster for  this build we got inspired by jer schmidt design   i just want to give credit to jer schmidt you can  follow his youtube channel i put the link on the   description also helmi varo my friend that helped  me build this table saw okay then stop the chit   chat and let's get build it okay first that we're  going to prepare is this angle iron 4 cm X 4 cm X   30 cm long and this is for the runner after that  just follow my step drill four hole and um tap   it with the m6 this is actually for the fence  base frame adjuster so uh you will know later   okay uh next step we're going to prepare  this strip plate 30 cm X 3 cm width and   2 millimeter thick and don't forget to make a hole  on the center because you need that hole to uh   welding to join this strip plate with  the angle iron through that hole like so okay the next is we need this uh 4  cm by X 6 cm square tube we just need   this about 40 centimeter and also we need 4X4  cm square tube this is 3 millimeters thick and   we also need this the important part is threaded  rod this is m20 threaded rod with 4 piece m20 nuts   and you need to cut half one of this nut  only one that is for the micro adjuster   okay next we need two piece of this 4 X 10  centimeter with 5 millimeter thick steel   that is for the bracket for the handle also  this 2 millimeter strip plate this is for the   half nut holder and don't forget these bearings  6204 and 20 millimeter shaft that fit inside   that bearing okay now we're going to make the  threaded rod holder we need to make a groove   that half circle groove because  we don't have a router that as   big as 20 millimeters so we use this jig and  we use this table saw to make that groove   we just need half circle of this 20 millimeter  groove so uh this is the final product   that already done and the threaded rod is going to  sit inside of this uh threaded rod holder like so and okay this is molly our quality control in  the shop it's sometimes grumpy when she is hungry   okay next this is the four by six centimeter  square tube and we also prepared this aluminum   extrude 3060 and next we're going to  weld this together with the runner okay uh already tag welded and next we're going  to permanently weld but before that we're going to   check the square between the runner and the fence  bracket make sure between the runner and the fence   bracket is square okay next we already welded this  handle bracket this is the handle bracket and we   also already attached this plate for the holder  for the half nut and it is actually just template   we use the 2 millimeter thick and we make a hole  like so because we're going to join that plate   using a m6 bolt and we also drill four holes for  this aluminum extrude using this sliding t-nuts and next we're going to drill  8 millimeter for this uh   pivott shaft also we're going to weld this  half nut to the strip plate that we already   prepared before okay next we're going to make  marking for the hole that we're going to drill   this have to be the right position so uh because  this is the locking mechanism for the threaded rod   and the half nut so we have to make sure this is  the right position so after making marking like so   and we're going to drill through these 2 brackets  okay now we're going to assembly and put this   aluminum extrude together with the fence bracket  like so it's so easy why i choose this system   this system actually uh belongs to a hammer k3  winner fence the fence can slide in and slide out   okay like you can see we're welding  this uh half nut with the steel plate   and we add this thin strip of nylon you can  also use hdpe because that this uh is going   to make the sliding more smooth and silent and to  join this i use epoxy rapid cure epoxy 5 minutes okay next uh i already joined this this is the  bracket for the the threaded rod make a hole   about 22 millimeter in diameters and we  need 2 brackets and we also make this 4 hole   and tap it with the m6 tab this is for the this  is for jointing this uh threaded rod holder and you need the same distant hole with this  bracket so actually i drilled this first   and this is going to be my template to drill the   4x4 centimeter square tube okay  next we make the bracket for the   rail slider this is the brackets that join the  rail slider fence and the table saw cabinet after making that bracket and tag weld it this  is actually strong because this is 5 millimeter   bracket okay next step we're going to  assemble all together for this rail slider   mechanism and for this uh micro adjuster so it's already almost done okay  we tighten all the screw together for this uh   threaded rod support with the 4x4cm square tube  now we're going to insert this square tube like so okay now come with this important part also this  is the thrust bearing this is the truss bearing   with the 20 millimeter inner hole and because this  uh thrust bearing is separate in 3 section and   we going to weld it this one section one side to  the bracket and these two is just insert like so   we're going to lock with this nut but not too  tight this only hold that thrust bearing is   not to tighten this thrust just to hold and we  assemble this on both sides of this threaded rod   so like you can see we  added two sides of this okay   on one side we're going to lock the nut you  can use a glue or you can drill a pinhole   okay next we're going to attach the  bracket to the table saw cabinet and always make sure this bracket  is square with the cabinet   because that is crucial for the precision okay next we're going to add this slider rail  slider to the bracket and we're going to lock with   this m6 bolt because before i already tap that  hole with the m6 so the next step we're going to   calibrate distance make sure it's very  parallel with this uh table saw cabinet   okay after all is lined up perfectly now  we're going to assembly this uh locking   mechanism and the handle like so okay i already  welded that 20 millimeter rod with the handle   and next we're going to uh  assembly this using uh 8 millimeter   stainless pipe and we're going to lock it with  this m6 bolt that fit inside that 8 millimeter   shaft now this uh fence bracket is already done  the micro adjuster also already done you can   you can see now the sliding  also smooth because we use nylon now we're going to assembly this  aluminum extrude using this uh   T-nut sliding T-nuts the good thing  with this uh fence it's not only   the micro adjuster that it had it also can slide  in and slide out so you can use for repeatable cut   you can see now i am losing the bolt  and i can slide it and sliding out   this fence so we can use it for the repeatable  cut and you don't need to worry about the kickback   and the next step we're going to calibrate this  fence you can see this bolt this 2 bolts on top   of this runner is for calibrate the square between  the fence against the table top if you remember   on the first video i drill four hole on this  runner this two bolt is adjusting the square   between the fence against the top table and  these two is going to adjust line up your fence   with your blade so now after all being  calibrated we're going to make the first cut   this first cut is to determine the patch  meter we're going to stick on this rail slider   so like you can see now we're going  to measure and we got 11.7 centimeter   and that is going to use for sticking  that uh patch meter on the rail slider okay my fence the maximum distance of my fence  is just 75 centimeter from the blade until uh   the end of this slider and that is more than  enough for me okay now you will see how i use this   micro adjuster on my fence it's really  awesome really awesome i love this fan system okay next we're going to set for the repeatable  cut using this uh fence that we're going to   slide out the fence so we can  make the repeatable cut without afraid of the kickback okay i think my job is already done making  these table saw fence with micro adjuster   and i will see you guys on the next one cheers you
