Woman born, raised in Canada ordered to get immigrant Visa

meanwhile a Canadian woman is still trying to understand where she stands after being denied entry into the US manfried corner of Quebec was trying to go to Vermont yesterday but she was told she needed a visa but at the Embassy in Ottawa today they told her she didn't need any visa she joins us now from Montreal thank you so much for being here man free yeah hi thank you okay so let's talk about this you're trying to go to Vermont on Sunday with two of your friends you're just going to a spa you get to the border what happened we got to the border and my friend handed over all the passports to the officer and basic questions how do you guys know each other where do you work purpose of travel and then they scan my passport and I guess an alert came up that in December when I was crossing the border he noticed that he's like you tried to cross twice in December and what happened in December I was in a New York state with two of my friends and my husband and we were refused entry and it was a random search we were refused entry and sold because they could have processed it on their computer system because they held us from 7:30 till 11:30 p.m. processing us for asking us questions and then they said that due to a computer glitch they can't let us go tonight come back in the morning and we said ok we got a hotel close by we came back in the morning and we went through with no problem ok so this time going through your two friends who I should point out our Caucasian were able to go through the border and they weren't questioned but you were stopped how did that make you feel well technically all three of us were stopped because we were all in the same vehicle so we were pulled over told to come inside for further questioning but the reason for this sounded like it was because in December I tried to enter twice when in reality I told them I answered once I just was told it's a computer glitch and come back in the morning and I had no problem but they said just come in we're going to ask you some more questions so when we went inside I was asked to come in the back they asked me more questions and they ended up eventually taking my fingerprint and taking my my photo with it's technically I guess protocol for them because they're drawing up a file now for me and they were adding it they were doing their research asked asking me questions and at this point they tell you you can't come in but you need some sort of visa yeah so they held us all three unless they held us there so from 9:30 a.m. for about 2 p.m. and then they called me over to let me know that I had been refused entry due to the fact that I'm an immigrant that's entering the United States without an immigrant visa ok so let's let everybody that quickly you were born in Canada correct yes born born in Canada born and raised in Canada and I have a Canadian passport and all of us had our Canadian passports and I told them I'm like this isn't really make sense and they're like there's some rare cases where this happens and you're one of them music to go to the u.s. embassy they'll specify which kind of visa you need and apply for that visa to avoid having these kind of issues in the future so you do do that you went to Ottawa today how did they respond I went to Ottawa because my my major thing right now is that I'm going at the end of the month to Miami and my goal is to get there I want to go there because I'm attending a music festival for my best friend's birthday and we have promised 5th months ago so I went with the intention of whatever visa I need I will apply for it if that's what it takes so we went to the u.s. embassy and they told me you're Canadian citizen you don't need a visa that's odd and I asked them maybe maybe a travel visa maybe for tourist services but they said unfortunately because I'm not unfortunately but due to the fact that I'm a Canadian citizen I do not need a visa to enter the u.s. so then do you feel like you were racially profiled here no like I've been asked that several times today and I told them like they like did that run for your head originally I just thought you know at first I'm due in December it was a random search then this time I just kept thinking could this happen to my mom in the summer as well she was traveling to go visit family in California and she had been told that she's bad to leave a state so then I thought maybe baffling to me because they told me that I have no criminal record anything they checked me they told me I'm not flight but at this point they just said you need a visa to come in with an immigrant visa so I just at this point I'm honestly just thinking that I need to do whatever they say so I can be able to go forth because I have my Bachelorette coming up in May as well the goal here is to enter the United States because my fiancee well my husband and I we love traveling and we've gone there several several times and it's upsetting that this happened but the officer was she explained herself she made me sign a paper that said that I was an immigrant that was being refused because I don't have a visa the only confusion here the most upsetting thing for me here is just that I'm not really getting any answers like I'm not sure how to go forth with this I thought going to the u.s. embassy would clarify that's why we went right away but then when we got there it was kind of like no you don't need this so it's kind of like I'm left with a big question mark not sure what to do this well I'm afraid we hope you get your answers and we wish you all the
