basketball fans around the internet have never really been a fan of the wnba or women playing basketball in general if you surf across the web you'll see countless comments on twitter on reddit even on facebook i don't know what the old heads are doing but they probably have it too of people hating on the wnba and hating on women basketball players professional female basketball players they just don't want to see it they think the nba is better and think that the wnba is a waste of time even on instagram there is an account that's just dedicated to showing wnba lowlights and people love it it gets thousands of views and it's just sad like look at this one this particular video is of a wnba player missing a layup and it happens from time to time all ballplayers know even in the nba it happens but one of the top comments here was from will and he said the wnba hasn't made a profit in 10 years the nba has given them 10 million a year just to stay afloat and the wnba is a joke there's no talent and no fans and no viewership half the people that follow this probably think it's a joke like the wnba like that's pretty mean this clip of an air ball has a comment by kdijp that says why do we even have a bubble wat a waste of time another comment here from ellis says the wnba is so ass this comment from isaac says this accounted joke right no one cared about the wnba and finally from this clip a comment said lmao this is straight comedy bro my high school team would punish the best wnba players laughing emojis people like these are the same type of people that think wnba players don't deserve to be paid as much as nba players like they want to be they also think that wnba players have no skill and are really bad at basketball and never want to watch it but i'm here to prove them wrong with a few clips of the top 10 plays in the wnba from the 2019 season i'm going to compare them to the top 100 plays in the nba season and we'll be able to see that wnba players are actually better than nba players so at the number 10 spot we have minnesota link's guard lexi brown who throws up a prayer towards the end of the shot clock and drains the three-pointer just look at the perfect shooting form that she exudes and the lack of space she needed to get off the shot the only thing better would be if it was an end-of-game buzzer beater three-pointer but of course that has never been done by an nba player this season only the best of the best can make shots like these imagine nba role players like malik monk or boyan bogdanovic making such shots that's ridiculous [Applause] kicks to the corner green a three to tie he got it simmons quirk mods for three yes break free is blocked out of its corner wide open up the only thing i ever see you put down is water or green tea outside to bogey he's crowded [Applause] wins in houston at number nine we have six-time all-star and wnba champion brittany griner with the voice of evan turner getting a pass down the middle of the lane and dunking the basketball this incredible feat of human ability is one of the 21 total dunks in wnba history a play like this is something that nba players can only dream of accomplishing and it's not like i found 28 instances out of the top 100 nba plays [Applause] [Applause] oh the crowd on their feet that's what they came to see if nothing else happens they're happy now at number eight we have wnba rookie tierra mccowan getting a buzzer beater layup with no defenders trying to block the shot the poise and finesse required to execute the shot and win the game for a team could never be matched by the men in the nba it's not like a better play was made by the nba's rookie of the year or five other times on the top 100 plays list that would never happen [Applause] so adams launches it to shoot a shooter catches and scores to tie it at 122. the number seven top play of the wnba season is marine johansson's no look over the shoulder pass to center han zhu for the floater the creativity and skill needed to make this pass has never been done before and explains why it's a top play just imagine if a player made a similar pass while in the air on a high level pass oh donovan behind the back to go bear beautiful beautiful play or when defended by two players but of course if the women in the wnba have never done it it can happen another great showtime feed from james to dwight there are times when you wonder does he really have an eye in the back of his head he sees things way before they happen the number six top play is the face of the wnba the reigning league mvp elena deladon with the fake pass euro step layup and you know that this is an amazing play that nba players can't make because of the 100 top plays of the 2019 nba season not including anything similar to this disregard that there are tons of nba euro stuff videos on youtube that doesn't really matter the number 5 spot is la sparks star candace parker with the no look bounce pass to her teammate as for passing goes this type of pass is one of the hardest to make in professional basketball and is not done that often only something like a behind the back bounce pass could top that but it doesn't really matter because nba players wouldn't be able to do that anyway [Applause] at number four is a chase down monster block by kayla davis this powerful denial of a basket should be celebrated it doesn't matter that she blocked an easy layup that barely left the scorer's hand and was just an attempt to throw the ball at the backboard in hopes of a layup nba players are not able to block their opponents with such furocity and power as kayla davis good hustle play blocks away they force giannis into the turnover [Applause] courtney runs it out to ross gotta close quickly 41st overall tim conley and what about that block zion from the weak side that'll get them off they're up on their feet hey cause the money from the 15th rule throw that ball back on the floor please we got to keep the game going he looks like he's back at duke with that block man number three is an over-the-head backwards cross-court pass for the fast break layup the court awareness by aces guard sidney coulson is incredible and the pinpoint accuracy of her pass is amazing a pass similar to that will never be made in an nba game not even by nba wonder boy and decent passer luka doncic looking for his seventh assist and he's got it to go with seven rebounds and 16 first half points drano on the three for kristaps porzingis the number two spot is a bunch of blocks by atlanta dreams elizabeth williams and jessica breland it doesn't matter that the blacks came on bad shot attempts by the opponents and that practically no one on the floor really jumped during this possession it is still great to see professional basketball players showing up for their millions of fans it's not like nba players can make cooler or more difficult blocks now going to the rim and rejected at the rim by jared allen tambuya is coming hard and jared allen with tres up high blocked by boucher [Applause] good pass [Applause] and look at this block this was going to be a meeting ferguson brought it all the way back one of the best athletes in the league but watch a block and the bench goes nuts and the best play from the 2019 wnba season is this half court heave to advance the aces in their elimination playoff game it's irrelevant that the chicago sky ball handler made an incredibly errant pass to a teammate that was being covered even though an open teammate was right next to her all that really matters is that the prayer of a shot went in and won them the game half court heaves have never been made in nba games obviously adams oh he got it to go put it up like a baseball pass and it's gonna count and it was a baseball pass in slow motion now based on these top plays it is evident that wnba players are better than nba players now let's see some more plays that show the nba's inferiority to the [Music] [Applause] [Music] gets a wnba's [Music] [Music] big [Music] you
