Wes Cecil is a great teacher for giving a brief overview and historical context of thinkers. Definitely good primer for doing more "hard" philosophy.
From what I've learned about him, he's more of an interdisciplinary type of scholar, where he exposes more truth about philosophy through context and biography than anything else.
