Feel squirt See bad cold Feels toasty I think this is good Perfectly blue skies Good morning. The weather forecast has deceived us. Can't hide from the sun. I forgot my sun hoody. How you doing, Ellie? Good. I can't feel my toes, but doing great. Hi, what's this puppy's name? She's Winnie. Winnie, hi. So cute This trip and today's video is made possible by backcountry This was my first time sleeping out in the cold snow But I snagged a few items from backcountry that helped me out. I had my Nemo tent, my North Face gore-tex shell Patagonia zip up pants, my backcountry beanie And of course my hyper light pack. All of these items and more can be found on backcountry.com The site is clean and easy to use And gear head advice pops up and helps you understand why you might need what you're looking for rather than just what the price is I'm partnering with backcountry to encourage you to get outside and find your backcountry Wherever that may be use code KRAIG15 for 15% off your first purchase At backcountry.com I've been wanting to link up with my brother Curtis for a while now And even though it was a quick trip up to Portland I feel like we got a lot of stuff done. After meeting up at my hotel we tried to figure out what we should do We had a bunch of options, but I think we settled on just going to Mount Hood and doing Mount Hood things But first we had to stop at the local climbing gym I've been climbing indoors for a while now, but I've never really owned my own gear I've always had to rent everything, the harness, the shoes, the chalk If only there was a website where I could get some great climbing equipment. We crashed at Curtis's friend's house but then started out super early for Mount Hood Meadows Ski Resort I've been skiing since I was like six years old, but I don't practice enough I'd like to get more confident on the slopes and just like rock climbing I've always rented gear and I think it might be time for me to buy skis, boots and some proper winter attire You can check out kraigadams.com to see my entire full gear kit And I just recently updated it to include the Nemo Hornet from backcountry which is now my main tent. It's super lightweight and easy to set up and ironically the same one that Curtis has, he keeps making fun of me for copying him, but I broke my peak design travel tripod So I'm really sad about that. I-I just ran it over with the car I have to get a new tripod now. My favorite part of the entire hike has to be butt-sledding down the mountain "Let's go!" "How're you going faster than I am!" "Go faster!" "Attempt No. 2" There were a few people skiing down which looks really fun... got to do that next time I really love gaining experience and confidence with each hike and backcountry's helping me to do what I love So thank you for sponsoring the video and if you want to support me, support my sponsors.
