Winter 2020 Causebox unboxing

hey guys and welcome to my video in this video we are going to open the winter 2019 cause box cause box is $49.99 and it is valued at more than two hundred dollars according to their website it comes seasonally so you get four per year and there are customizations for members that pay annually instead of seasonally it's more the colors or the style of something instead of completely two separate products the way fabfitfun does however last time we did have one selection where the items were really different that you could choose and I don't ever do any customizations for this I really like the surprise I enjoy the surprise we get to open this box together so my first impression happens right when you see it my new a handy-dandy box cutter from my mom absolutely it loved it it only really works on the big boxes though it's just it's too big for the small box we have our little magazine here this one always kind of tells you about the different causes so basically cause box is a seasonal subscription box and every single item in this box is either supporting a woman entrepreneur artisans around the world some sort of cause or environmental impact or uses ingredients or sustainable practices in creating their products so it's a do good feel-good kind of subscription box so like I said I don't have too much spoiled I have seen some videos from other youtubers that spoiled like something here or there but that was actually a really long time ago I feel like it took me a really long time to get this box high editing dress here so just kidding it definitely took a long time to get this box because of some shipping issues if I would have been paying attention to my emails I don't know if anyone else has it yet really seen videos on it yet I did get this during holidays so I'm also opening in a little bit late because I was out of town life so we're gonna start here with this little cream here it says derma e hydrating night cream hyaluronic acid and green tea and if you have watched any of my videos probably any of my videos you know how much I love putting caffeine on my body my face everything I think caffeine is an amazing ingredient for your skin and green tea happens to be full of caffeine so this says it is ethical Beauty committed to your health well-being and the natural environment that's when we make eco ethical skincare that's amazing so it's GMO free cruelty free 100% vegan gluten free soy free and recyclable I'm assuming that means the container is recyclable and it says your purchase supports global communities and the environment so it doesn't really say how yet but I guarantee that information is in here it feels really good and it has like a really nice like light scent I really really like that I don't know what that scent is it kind of reminds me of marzipan but a really light Marsabit kind of like fondant like I don't know kind of like a slightly sweet slightly nutty smell but it's super light so we're gonna read a little bit about it here it says derma e hydrating night cream a natural ultra rich and intensely hydrating a night cream that nourishes your skin while you sleep and that is a 2950 value I actually think that's a really good price for something this size just because of the quality of it the fact that it's vegan and like this is a really big container to be a fair part of it is like lid up here but this is pretty good I think for 2915 these are so cute so I got some little stud earrings luckily I have pierced ears that's one of the things why you probably should customize it is in case you didn't have pierced ears this would be useless to you but I have pierced ears so let me find this here it is a foxy originals mix-and-match stud earrings three stood earrings in three different shapes and three different metallic finishes that's super cute this is a $30 value so this is an item where annual members could select I am an annual member I just didn't make a selection and the other option was holiday hair clips a set of two classic hair clips made in France and Italy out of premium materials so that one was a $31 value I would have been happy with either of those and these are really cute and very different the next thing I found in here is kind of heavy it says Whitney crew needs set of two mugs they have these like cool designs on them there's two of them they're very cute I don't actually need mugs because my mug cabinet is so out of hand right now I actually need to get rid of some of my mugs but these are really beautiful it says these gorgeous mugs were hand illustrated by Florida based artist Whitney Kearney and exclusively shaped and sculpted from the bottom up proceeds from this product support Hubbard house and their efforts to save and change the lives of victims of domestic violence as a survivor of domestic violence Whitney curry knows the importance of an amazing support system where victims of abuse can find sanctuary and road to healing that's so sweet that's such a great cause the next item in my cause box is from pure ok this is four and one correcting primer and I am recently obsessed with the four and one love your selfie foundation so obsessed like beyond obsessed you have no idea it's pretty much the only foundation I've been putting on my face since I've heard of it like that's how much I love it this is the primer that goes with it which I don't own so this is the pure form when correcting primer primer made from aloe coconut water and probiotics energizes skin in the morning breasts used skin at night this is a $34 value it was something that select members could choose and so the other option was the vut if I think bit of ITIF vitae that sounds better daily hair vitamin a vegan cruelty-free multitasking hair product that does the work of a mouse serum and hot oil I'm so glad that I got this one just because I am very picky about what I put in my hair cuz I actually you can't tell right now but I usually have really curly hair and curly hair is like its its own person right like if if you have curly hair you know curly hairs like its own person it has its own personality has its own attitude and like there's things that curly hair likes and there's things that curly hair does not like and you want to be very very selective with the things you put on your hair so I am very picky about my hair products and I'm so glad that I got this literally matches my favorite foundation I can't wait to use them together and hopefully it's as good as the foundation is moving onto the fifth item in my box this is from Samara it says let this moment last forever and so the jewelry case I did see a spoiler for this one I did not make a selection this was also a customization I believe and that this is really cute it's a pretty good size there's so many things you could fit right up in here polish cloth oh that's nice and little necklace things to go here I'm kind of glad that this is the one that I got let me grab my card that I dropped on the floor so I can read it for you so this is another one that annual members got to customize but this was actually three different items and again last time was the first time I've seen cause box do this where they give you three different items and then from three different companies and you pick so that was kind of cool and they decided to do it again which I love the first one mine says Samara luxe jewelry box a vegan leather jewelry organizer with the most beautiful gift backstory perfect for home and travel okay well I can't wait to hear about their gift back story you could also choose the artisan direct gold serving spoons a setting set of gold serving spoons by artisans in India and seas ooh cozy convertible mittens a pair of incredibly soft and versatile mittens made from an innovative blend of recycled materials all of those sound pretty cool this is a woven throw blanket it says you can get it in cream or in slate and I think I got it in Slate so I believe that I got the one in Slate who knows like doesn't this look like cream right here but I feel like the cream one was all cream so I don't know but it has these cute little tassels at the bar okay so this says a gorgeous heavyweight this is pretty heavy actually just holding it as kind of we're gonna stop doing that so a gorgeous heavy weight throw lovingly loomed and hand finished by artisans in Jaipur India so this is one of the things where they are supporting artisans around the world and this is a hundred and twenty dollar value I'm not gonna lie I really it feels quality it is thick I would not pay a hundred and twenty dollars for it there's just so many good quality like throw blankets that I can get at HomeGoods for like twenty or thirty dollars but I do think this is really good quality from feeling it and if this is really like does this a was hand done I don't know this is hand finished by artisans so that's pretty awesome so the last item is always from an artist and this one is actually really cool it's a postcard it's always been a postcard I have never sent the postcard I just keep them in a beautiful drawer of beautiful cosmic postcards and this one is from Maggie Stevenson so the artwork is Maggie Stevenson there's like a little poem it says and if you look closely you will see hope is close love is near and kindness can be found in all seasons so that's really cool actually because it's a seasonal subscription box we had our little descriptions here and the past may have the description also it would include a little bit about Wyatts and cause box but now they have the that Ritz's impact roundup and so it tells you how each thing gives back and makes a difference so it says the woman throw blanket this one from Imani collective it says this throw blanket ethically employed a hundred and ninety five artisans in Jaipur India for four months and allowed our partnering co-op to continue challenging social norms by creating meaningful work opportunities for women in their community so that is one of the things a lot of times it supports artisans around the world but in an ethical way so a lot of times you can buy things around the world for very cheaply so basically what cosmics does is they partner with companies that are supporting those artisans and ethical ways and giving them real wages the next item in here that I had was the set of two mugs from Whitney Kearney and it says this exclusive collaboration with Florida based artist Whitney Kearney a donation is made to Hubbard house we read a little bit about that to support those efforts to save and change lies the survivors of domestic abuse and then there's two other items that aren't in my cost box the gold serving spoons which says that they is our spoons ethically employing one hundred and fifty artisans and the packaging was developed out of recyclable cotton that's really cute and then the convertible mittens they said those men's featured polyester made of recycled plastic and an innovative process that cleans the brakes on the plastic before we mean into a soft and durable yarn it's creating a gorgeous environmentally conscious fabric so that's so cool you saw that in my video because I always put it up on the side why it's in the cause box there was definitely one that it said was that these or this I don't remember it said like it has a meaningful story give back stories so I don't know what that is just yet but I'm gonna do a little bit of research in here and you will see me in about 5-10 minutes it's gonna be instant for you that's gonna take some time for me a few moments later okay so I did a little bit of research it's actually a really cool story so the Creator grew up in Kenya where there were children that would do their homework by kerosene lamps at night basically like only able to do their homework in that way and so she created a solution with a solar panel on backpacks and as the kid would walk to and from school it would charge their backpack so at night it would turn on and they could do their homework by the light from the solar panel that was on their backpack so the proceeds from this company go to making and distributing those backpacks to the children in Kenya so that they have this amazing tool to do their homework at night when it is dark and that is absolutely awesome it says that they've distributed 10,000 of these backpacks or bags around East Africa and they're trying to spread into other areas as well like Guatemala and India such a cool story definitely like proud to have this as my jewelry case that is one of the reasons why I love this box it's just it's just like makes you feel good to hear the stories and to think about how these products are making a difference I definitely look at the websites to to see if there's other items I want to purchase one I really believe in one of the causes so that's really cool that you get introduced to companies that it's their mission to make this world a better place and if every company did that imagine how wonderful our world could be anyways thank you so much for watching let
