why you should move your stockpile first things first how to move your stockpile in order to move your stockpile you're supposed to destroy all of your stockpiles first and then you can place and stockpile wherever you want it's similar to granaries and armories you can place the first one wherever you want but if there's already one on the map you can't place another one anywhere now why should you ever move your stockpile it's because some of the building's efficiencies are highly reliant on their workers traveling between the workplace and stockpile for example here wheat Farms get a massive production boost when they're placed right next to the stockpile because otherwise they would spend most of their time walking another example is the weapon production buildings and most notably Fletchers because they would have to take multiple trips for wood just being a tiny bit closer to the stockpile can double or triple their production speed another building worth mentioning is the stone quarry as well as the Iron Mine these two buildings are slightly different though as you know with stone quarries you'll just need more Ox tether to make up for the long travel distance but for iron minds they need to be at a certain range otherwise they will start losing efficiency but there's no need for them to be hugging your stockpiles they can still be slightly further away than other buildings so I would say these four buildings are the most important ones when it comes to stockpile placement although there are other buildings affected by your stockpile such as were Cutters or many other production buildings I would still say the other four buildings should be prioritized because they benefit from the travel distance much more than any other building in this game another reason to move your stockpile can be to move to a safer space for example on mission 41 it's much more convenient for you to move all of your production behind your keep whereas your original spot is constantly attacked by enemy archers but I would advise you to take the production advice seriously especially for wheat farms and Fletchers I promise the results will definitely surprise you foreign can't place that there my Lord can't place that there my Lord the people who worship Messiah
