the Chicago Bears kick off their 2024 season at home against the Tennessee Titans a game that they just simply have to win you don't want to start off the season against a lesser team with your franchise quarterback and Caleb Williams and come up short in that one especially because the Bears play two consecutive Road games against the Texans and the Colts two teams that I think are actually going to be really good in 2024 after that the Bears have two home games the Los Angeles Rams and the car Panthers overall the first five games I do have the Bears going three and two in that stretch they're over 500 the next three games are against teams that I don't anticipate to make the actually four games because the Patriots are in week 10 so the Bears if they put themselves in a positive situation the first five games of the year they're going to be absolutely golden because they take on the Jags in week six and then they have their bye-week just to get right get fresh week eight is at Washington against Jaden Daniels week nine Arizona week 10 New England I'd anticipate that the Bears will get three of those four games not saying that they're going to lose to the Jags and then beat those lesser teams it could be oh maybe they do beat the Jags and maybe Washington gets them or something like that but I do have the Bears winning three of those four games so if you do the math in that that would be six and three which would put the Bears in a very good position to potentially win the Division if they finish off the season strong or to end up making the wild card now the goal in my opinion for the Bears is to make the Wild Card of course it's to win the Super Bowl win the division but realistically speaking the Bears two seasons ago they won three games last season they won seven games and then this season the goal was to get the 10 wins you have to understand that the Bears in the second half of last season actually played some high level football they beat the Panthers then they lost to the Lions but they had that 13-point lead with 3 minutes left they beat the Vikings and beat the Lions lost by three to the Browns they were up 10 in the fourth quarter they beat the cards and the Falcons and then a course against the Packers they only gave up 17 points but they lost that was because Justin Fields had just 148 passing yards and KH Herbert had just 28 yards rushing I think a lot of that was on the offensive coordinator Luke gety at the time A lot of it was Field's just inability to push the ball down the field of course the weapons as well Keenan Allen and run certainly weren't there Gerald Everett wasn't there DeAndre s out of the back Field's amazing Pro bow last year over a th000 yards one of the better pass catchers in the league there's a lot of weapons on this team I think the defense is only going to get better because it's a full year of Montes sweat but overall the Bears it's just about development and improving every single week nobody expects the Bears to go out there and to go 13 and four to win the Super Bowl it's just about hey look we've got a quarterback we want him to get better from the start of the year to the end of the year and we want to make sure that he's in the best situation to win it's hard to find a better situation that a quarterback walked into than Caleb willames and you could argue JJ McCarthy but the thing that I like the most about Caleb situation is the defense behind him Jaylen Johnson decided to go with him on the thumbnail was the best cornerback from the it test and statistically speaking last season I also really like jaquin brisker and Tyreek Stevenson I thought Stevenson should have been in the defensive player of the year category brisker was a proo level player Kyler Gordon so to pick it up late of course interested to see what he does in 2024 upfront is the question for me Montes sweats amazing he's Elite but what do you get out of Demarcus Walker what do you get out of the young guys going to year two of jvin Dexter senior and Zack Pickins that's going to be the key for me is pass rushing I thought for sure the Bears would end up drafting an edge whether that be le out to Lot 2 or the stud out of Alabama of course but they ended up going with Roman D and it's hard to fault them for that a o dun is a top five player maybe even a top four or three player he's that good because of his size at 6 fo3 he's all 215 he's incredibly quick run a 444 I want to say at the top of my head best contested catch receiver in the class he's also just 21 years old so he won't be turning we'll be turning what 20 I want to say 22 next month if my math correct so overall Caleb he just has to win football games he has to thrive he's got to win Rookie of the Year it's not about the pressure it's not about oh Caleb w a Heisman Caleb is a generational Talent it's just about you're the number one pick in the draft walking into a situation that's very very uh thrilling and the Bears have proven time and time again that they can't develop quarterbacks the Bears haven't had a good quarterback in a very long time and I'm talking about my parents weren't even alive it's been that long so I just need to see Caleb get the ball into his guy hands throw it away when needed and just trust your team that's the thing is Justin Fields had a lot of potential and I do think that the Bears failed him and Ryan poles even said that the Bears failed him of course PS got there too late if PS had drafted him then completely different story but he didn't but Fields he did try to play a lot of herob ball and I get it because of the defense and things like that it was so bad but Caleb doesn't have to do that and there there was an issue with him last season at USC from what I watched where he would try to make a play because his defense was one of the worst in the country so Caleb he's I don't expect him to take too many sacks to throw too many picks he's just going to take where the defense gets him throw the ball away the Bears are going to be playing a ton from ahead just because their defense is absolutely Elite and because they have so many playmakers that teams aren't going to be able to match up with that I mean when Romo dun is your third best receiver imagine a corner three having to cover him Keenan Allen last season with the Chargers had 1,243 yards seven touchdowns and 108 receptions just alone in 17 games that would be a fantastic ftic year but he did it and I think it was 13 games at the top of my head so that's just ridiculous K high in receptions for Allen of course DJ Moore is coming off of the best season of his career he had 1,364 yards last season that's with Justin Fields missing like five games so it's just crazy eight touchdowns 96 receptions it was a little bit inconsistent it felt like DJ Moore either had sort of a Down game or a massive game for example he had 159 yards against the Falcons and then he had had what 18 yards against the Cardinals 52 against the Browns 64 against the Packers I mean 64 yards isn't bad by any means but feel like DJ Moore is good enough to honestly get you 100 yards every single game he had 104 against the Bucks 230 against Washington 131 against the Broncos and then 114 on the Vikings 159 like I said on the Falcons DJ Moore is incredible he also had 96 against the Lions it's just now that you have other players around him more is going to be even more open and it's going to be more difficult to cover him so I'm looking forward to that and then these tight ends and KT and ever's going to be fun what we're looking at for the Bears is just simply offensively they've got to be better because uh they finished 18th last season and points scored which actually isn't terrible it really isn't but I know they can do better and with shanen Waldren he's a guy that is going to be able to maximize his team Gino Smith went from essentially a backup quarterback that nobody even talked about even labeling him as a bus some people went as far as saying and then he comes to the Seahawks people said oh they're going to win three games they end up actually making the playoffs leading the Niners at halftime two seasons ago so I expect him to be able to get the most out of Caleb because with all due respect Caleb Williams is a significantly more talented Prospect or player in general than G Smith I mean Caleb makes throws that I haven't seen anyone will be able to make besides Patrick Mahomes he's better when he's out of the pocket and on the move as an improviser and he knows that I didn't have a lot to work with at USC he's walking into a much better situation overall I expect him to have an unbelievable season I'm very high in Caleb Williams and I I do think he's going to win rookie the year and I do think he's going to be a superstar one day but I think the Bears honestly are going to compete for the NFC North and I do think that they're going to be one of the more difficult outs early on in the playoffs I think they'll win a game probably similar to the Texans last year they'll win 10 11 games win a playoff game and then the next year after that they'll be competing for a Super Bowl so what did I say we had them at six and three heading into week 11 Green Bay Packers at home the Bears have lost 10 straight games to the Packers I just don't see them continuing that I have them winning this game which would put them at seven and three the Vikings is at home so you're seven and three let's to say that the Bears lose that game so they're seven and four and then they go to Detroit they end up picking up that game so kind of a reverse thing where they lose L at home and then they beat a divisional team on the road 8 and four ners they lose that 8 and five Vikings who they just lost to they win that and of course they're now nine and five and then Lions Seahawks and Packers I have the Bears losing week 18 against the Packers beating the Seahawks at home which would put them at 10 and six you kind of you don't have to win that you still can go 10 and seven and make the playoffs but do they sweep the Lions I don't know about that I don't think they sweep the L Lions so we'll just go with 10 and seven I think that would be honestly a good season because I just said they're going to have a Texans season 10 and seven they make the Wild Card the thing about the Texans though is that they actually did win the division 10 and seven is not winning this division the Packers or the Lions will get 11 or 12 or maybe even 13 we never know but I do think that the Bears can go on the road and upset somebody
