Why Sasuke Uchiha Is The Best Naruto Character

Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most complex and interesting characters in the Naruto series and I have seen a lot of people hating on Sasuke and saying that he is the worst character in Naruto that he shouldn't exist and stuff like that but this is simply wrong today we're gonna be discussing Sasuke's character Arc character development the way the character is written and how important he is for the story and hopefully by the end of the video if you don't appreciate Sasuke Uchiha as a character you will I want you to do a mental exercise for a second here picture the Naruto Series without Sasuke Uchiha that would be a much much different series the structure of the entire series would be different Sasuke is arguably the most important character in the Naruto series for it to work the way it does even more so than Naruto the series could have existed without Sasuke but it would have been something else and something worse Sasuke is the counterbalance for Naruto he is the polar opposite of the main character and that leads to many different interesting situations in the entire story even if you don't like Sasuke you have to admit that every time he is on screen or on page something interesting is happening there isn't a dull moment when Sasuke is around and sure you may not like the character and I understand people have different tastes you may not like a character that I like and vice versa but saying that Sasuke is poorly written is just misinformed and to understand that we're gonna have to start from the beginning we cannot separate Sasuke uchiha's character Arc and personality from the pivotal moment that shaped his entire character the Uchiha Clan Massacre Sasuke more than any other character in Naruto makes decisions and takes action based on a single event that happened in his past a very traumatic event imagine being a seven-year-old boy when you're seven you don't know much about life you're a very naive kid you don't really have great aspirations yet yeah maybe you have the dream to be an astronaut or something like that but no real girls in life you're just living you're a kid that's what you're supposed to do you're supposed to be to play around with their family and friends and to develop as a kid Sasuke had that taken away from him and the most dramatic way you could possibly imagine his older brother the brother he loved killed his entire family and told him he did so to increase his capabilities and test his potential I cannot think of something more traumatizing for a seven-year-old than that that's gotta be the worst thing for you to experience surely any kid who went through that type of thing would have to go through therapy for the rest of his life and as far as we know Sasuke never went to therapy I don't even know therapy exists in the Naruto universe so Sasuke just by him functioning in society in general after the yucha clan Massacre that's a huge achievement he is a little socially awkward and quiet and reserved but that's to be expected and sure some people don't like his personality they say oh he's Angie for the sake of being edgy but he's an introvert and there's nothing wrong with that he didn't really have any life goals when his family was killed by his brother so essentially what took over the rest of his life was his revenge Itachi prompted him to go after him and take revenge and that consumed him this is very much to be expected first of all because of a hatred you would feel towards your brother for doing something like that but also because of survivor's guilt and that's a real thing people that survived traumatic events in which many other people died many times felt guilty just for surviving and bling themselves for the deaths of the other people even though they had nothing to do about it and they couldn't have done anything to avoid it really but they still feel guilt Sasuke is definitely feeling that he is ashamed of being so weak when his family needed him of being so powerless for him to face Itachi I mean he ran away Itachi even told him Go latch yourself to your stupid life and come back to avenge them and that Sasuke's main motivation from that day on he always thought that having friends and bonds created weakness he saw that he was a child with Whimsical thoughts of his family being perfect and he loved his brother his mother and his dad so much that he didn't really get strong while Itachi who didn't have a very close relationship to anyone became so strong he could take on the entire Clan by himself so Sasuke deems loneliness as a sign of strength from that early on and that's why he doesn't make any effort to build any connections that is up until team 7 comes along and he is assigned to teammates Sakura and Naruto that is the first time he experiences real connection though of course before that happened Naruto and Sasuke were always trying to get closer to each other but their ego would get in the way you can see that even when they were kids they understood each other's pains but they couldn't approach each other because things are more difficult than that and Sasuke really struggled with that feeling of loneliness he needed to be alone he needed to be strong and having friends would not allow him to attain his revenge that changes and the bell test when Sasuke offers his food to Naruto so that Naruto can get stronger and they can pass the test unbeknownst to him that act alone may team 7 passed the entire exam from then on Sasuke and Naruto and Sakura to a certain extent would develop this bond of friendship so much so that Sasuke would get so attached to Naruto that he would throw his life on the line to say Dave Naruto from haku's Needles and then he says oh my brother is still out there I don't know why I did that my legs just move on their own but of course the reason is because For the First Time in his life ever since his family was taken away he was feeling real connection and Naruto was becoming a brother to him which is something that threatens his girl a Revenge Because deep down he knows that loneliness is what makes him strong or so he thinks that is one of Sasuke's character flaws he believes that connections will not help you Naruto on the other hand being his polar opposite gets help from all places he can get help from and that's how he succeeds they then go to the tuning exams and they build an even stronger friendship and connection Sasuke even acknowledges Naruto at that point saying that he wants to fight Naruto and that just makes Naruto even more excited about fighting Sasuke because they were Rivals at the time but it was was a much healthier rivalry and when the finals come along and Sasuke learns the Chidori it's as though Sasuke's leaks above Naruto Naruto himself feels very inferior to Sasuke that moment but then when they go to fight Gara in the forest Naruto summons a giant toad that simply dwarves anything Sasuke has ever achieved and that is absolutely frustrating to Sasuke his bonds and friendships have stood in the way of him attaining his revenge though he is still very much connected to his friends he wants to protect Sakura even when the curse mark takes over his body he even says that he's not letting his friends and comrades die again that's something he can allow to happen the guilt of his Clan's Massacre very much on the Forefront of his mind and then another traumatic event happens Sasuke meets Itachi again after all those years and Itachi absolutely pummels him and humid really ate Sasuke he put Sasuke under tsukiomi again and makes him watch his family getting murdered over and over and over again and Itachi tells Sasuke that he is weak because he lacks hatred his bonds with his friends have interfered with his revenge he lost focus and feeling ever so inferior to Naruto he prompts Naruto to fight him in the hospital he couldn't stand the thought of thinking that that stupid bumbly orange dude had become stronger than him that's impossible what has he been doing all this time now of course Sasuke had gotten much stronger it's just that Naruto was much weaker than Sasuke so he would evolve faster in relative terms they have that Clash on the roof of the hospital and Sasuke sees that the Rasengan dealt way more damage than the chidorian that destroys his self-esteem even though Kakashi tries to convince Sasuke that revenge is not the Jedi way Sasuke doesn't give a damn he is set on taking Revenge but Kakashi is Right Revenge would only fill you with Dread and once you accomplish that you would be empty inside completely without purpose even so Sasuke leaves with a sound 4 which was set up from very early on Orochimaru played his cards very well he gave Sasuke the curse mark and said well if you want more power you have to come to me when Sakura came to stop Sasuke he faltered a little bit he still told Sakura that she's annoying but whenever he says that soccer is annoying that's a way to push her back because he cares about her but he wants Sakura out of his way so that she won't get hurt so saying to Sakura's face that she's annoying is a good way to tell her yeah just get out of here go away of course it doesn't work but it's a good try and then Naruto and Sasuke fight in probably the best fight in the entire series series not only because of the stakes and the emotional investment the character development in that fight but also just the way the fight flows every time Naruto gets a power up sauce gets a power up and then SAS gets a power up and the Naruto gets a power up it's so Dynamic and kinetic it's great and in that fight Sasuke emits yeah Naruto you are strong I'm gonna put my headband and acknowledge you as a worthy opponent and you know why you're strong because you've been alone all this time and loneliness makes you stronger Sasuke has always understood Naruto he's known Naruto was alone and he respected Naruto to a certain extent even from the very beginning we can see when team 7 was just formed that when Sakura came to Sasuke and said oh Naruto's so stupid he doesn't have parents and that's why he acts like a dunce Sasuke had none of that he said what do you know about loneliness you ready spoiled child he was on Naruto's sign he was defending now Naruto and that's because he understood Naruto in team 7 Sakura is the more average child she has her parents nothing tragic has happened in her past and yes she would be childish she would be immature Naruto and Sasuke had to know how to fend for themselves and that's why Sasuke understands Naruto the problem is Naruto does not understand Sasuke when Sasuke says that you wouldn't get me Naruto you've been alone for your entire life you don't know what losing your entire family is like because you've never known them that's actually true Naruto never experienced something like that and that's why I think Sasuke's backstory is more tragic than Naruto's having a family and watching them all die killed by your brother is something much more traumatic than never having a family at all and that's why Naruto wouldn't understand the first time Naruto was going through something like that was in that very fight when Sasuke who had become his brother was trying to leave for uchimaru Sasuke even admits that he admits the Naruto is his best friend and then we get the flashback when Itachi says that Sasuke must kill his best friend in order to unlock the power of the mongekio Sharingan and Sasuke tries to kill Naruto he goes for a Chidori that Naruto manages to divert at the last second so that it doesn't pierce his heart Sasuke is set on his revenge here will do anything in order to gain power but eventually in that very same fight Sasuke understands something if he achieves power for the same means Itachi did then he would be just another Itachi the worst person in the world as far as he is concerned he cannot allow himself to be touchy so he chooses not to kill Naruto which is something very powerful and that's when part one ends and Sasuke is just brilliantly written in here just think about it if you were a child and you experienced that thing yeah you would want to take revenge you would be dominated by that it would be a curse on your entire life people say oh I wouldn't do that Sasuke was stupid you need more empathy you know put yourself on Sasuke's shoes for real think about what if your parents or whoever is the most precious people for you died in front of your eyes killed by another of the most precious people for you Sasuke is a very believable character we have the time skip after that and we get Shippuden Sasuke and to be honest the tenchy bridge Arc is probably my least favorite Arc in the entire series for a good reason Sasuke is one of the best written characters in the entire series but he's not very well written in this particular Arc he acts extremely out of character and I think Kishimoto dropped the ball here not only Sasuke but Kabuto and Orochimaru act out of character as well while Sasuke is actually trying to kill Naruto Kabuto and Orochimaru are trying to save him what and they'd come up with the excuse that oh and Sasuke Naruto is going to kill on the rakatsuki member and it's going to help your revenge but just think about it killing Naruto would have been the best thing for you it would have destroyed the akatsuki's plans while Sasuke shouldn't want to kill Naruto because he actively did not try to kill Naruto in part 1 during the Valley of the end fight and there was a big deal it was an amazing moment for the character and now he's saying I didn't kill you back then because of a whim and now I can kill you on a whim it's just like oh yeah it was nothing really emotional or investing that happened back then I didn't kill you on a whim you know no big of a deal and now I'm just gonna kill you and then Sasuke actually tries to kill Naruto that's stupid and people may say oh no he was just trying to scare Naruto I don't think so he would have even considered trying to Kieran team seven if he didn't want to actually kill them all Sasuke had killing intent and that's why I kinda hate this Arc and the reasons too but I'm not gonna get into those if you're interested in seeing how I rewrote that just watch my rewriting Naruto series Link in the description below it does get better after this one because it's as though he is another person after this Arc Sasuke is not killing anyone essentially he's saying no I just have one person that I'm gonna kill I'm not killing anyone else and that's how Sasuke should act because he is a good person but then in the tenchy bridge Arc is gonna go and kill team seven that doesn't make sense he should be the one trying not to kill team seven while rochimaru and Kabuto were trying to all that build up of Sasuke no I cannot kill him because then I'll become Itachi goes to the Wayside now it's very good that Sasuke was much stronger than Naruto in the beginning of Shippuden Naruto as the protagonist needs some something to strive for if Sasuke was weaker than him or evenly matched that wouldn't make much sense and Sasuke is a genius he should be able to evolve and get stronger faster than Naruto can this Arc was the only situation where Sasuke was poorly written and when he appeared he was still really cool when we see Sasuke again he's training with Orochimaru and Orochimaru is sending thousands of Bandits to fight Sasuke so Sasuke can train and he is actively not killing any of them in Norwich Mars like oh you should kill them Sasuke and Sasuke's like no I'm not gonna kill them I'm just gonna kill Itachi and you and that's in character when Sasuke attacks rochimaru that makes sense because Orochimaru is a terrible person Sasuke wouldn't want Orochimaru to roam around the world especially because he was stronger than Orochimaru he didn't want rochimar to take over his body he was fine with dying if that meant Itachi would die as well which is to show how determined Sasuke was about his revenge and how much of a Nim impact the Uche Clan Massacre had on him he didn't care about his own life he just wanted to get the Revenge so he was willing to give Orochimaru his body but then he was like wait I'm stronger than you why would I give my body to you you're just gonna be a novel person after that so no I'm gonna kill you here and absorb your body and that Arc is actually pretty great when sassy gathers heavy so that he can get revenge on Itachi and we can see that he still has that resemblance of a Sasuke that needs connections though he doesn't want to get very close to them because he feels like they'll get him weaker if their bond gets too strong like he got with Naruto and Sakura and Kakashi so he's a bit cold towards team heavy but they are loyal to Sasuke and then comes Sasuke versus daederer this is the most misunderstood fight in the entire series people say that Sasuke has plot armor Sasuke shouldn't have won and this fight is is one of the best fights in the series it makes a lot of sense what people really complain about is how Sasuke escaped the c0 with the reverse summoning and that he shouldn't have chakra anymore but just watch the fights Sasuke had chakra when he summoned Manda do you know how I know that because he had his Sharingan activated the entire time even though Daedra says that Sasuke is out of chakra he is not there is not a sensory type he can't really tell what's happening saski had his Sharingan activated and Orochimaru wasn't escaping out of his body because that's what would happen when Sasuke ran completely out of chakra if he didn't have chakra anymore he wouldn't be able to suppress Orochimaru inside of his body and he would Escape like he would eventually in the fight against Itachi and that didn't happen in the fight against Daedra so Sasuke had chakra we knew that the Sharingan could control tail beasts so it's not far-fetched to think that the Sharingan can control large summons and it's set up that Sassy can do those summons very quickly in the very first exchange of the fight when Daedra throws a bomb on Sasuke and Sasuke summons a snake to serve as a shield instantly it doesn't take him any time at all Sasuke also had to fight against Toby more or less Toby was definitely helping dater I wouldn't say the fight was a 2V1 but it was a 1.5 V1 and people say oh he only won because he had lightning style sure yeah that's true but he had the lightning style when he was smart enough to figure out that he would deactivate the bombs that Sasuke vs theater fight is one of the best showings of how to create a Shonen battle that's satisfying and interesting to watch the Tactical element was out of the charts it was amazing and the fight looked gorgeous and yes Sasuke had a plan set up with Team heavy so that he could survive something extreme like c0 he had the reverse summoning prepared so no that wasn't plot armor that was just a good battle and people were gonna say no but data actually won the fight Sasuke lost yeah okay one person died and the other survived knowing that the person who died was going all out trying to kill saski using the most powerful Jutsu he had and he was unable to kill him while Sasuke did not use the most powerful Jutsu he had available he even said he had a plan B which was Kieran in that fight and he didn't have to use it stator used Toby's help to set up the traps and Sasuke used hebby's help to escape theater's explosion so Sasuke won that fight fair and square now even if he didn't have heavy with that scroll laying around to summon him back he could still Escape he would just be stuck he didn't fight Itachi and it's a great fight we see Sasuke's prowess we see Kieran we see Itachi's jutsus it's very climactic but it ends in a kind of a strange way Itachi fall holes and dies what what happened there well of course after that we find out about one of the most iconic plot twists period Itachi was a good guy all along he wanted Sasuke to be safe above anything else everything he's done was for Sasuke and for the leaf Village too but Sasuke was his main priority he could kill his entire Clan but he couldn't bring himself to kill his younger brother and understandably so Sasuke has a complete mental breakdown when he finds that out imagine you worked to kill a man your entire life a man that killed your family and you find out he did that to protect you because he had no other choice really it makes sense for Sasuke to have that type of reaction there if he was just like oh interesting that's cool that would be very bad and think about it this plot twist is what actually makes Sasuke a more more interesting character because if Sasuke defeated Itachi and just went back to the Village then sure could have been interesting but not nearly as interesting as what happens next actually what happens next is what most people have problems with which is Sasuke wants to destroy the Lee Village and your average dumb argument for this being a bad thing is that Itachi wanted to save the village and save you and then now you find out that he wanted to save the village and you want to destroy the village that doesn't make sense Sasuke Uchiha now you may disagree with what he's doing and yes destroying the village is obviously not the right thing to do but it doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense for the character Sasuke just went through one of the most traumatic experiences of his life he found out that the brother he loved and that killed his family and then he hated was actually good all along and that the leaf Village exploited him so that he would kill his entire family against his will and Sasuke empathized with Itachi he put himself on Itachi's shoes he imagined what was like for Itachi to have to kill his entire family now he could protect the village like Itachi did but he didn't think there was the right thing to do he disagreed with Itachi he thought the leaf Village was rotten to the core and that it didn't deserve to exist any longer this Village that exploited his brother that made him suffer so much the village didn't deserve Itachi The Village deserved to die and Sasuke is not Itachi he's not going to do the same thing Itachi did yes he loved his brother he loved what he did for Sasuke but he didn't think that bending to The Village's Wills was the correct decision and he thinks that the leaf Village was the most evil organization ever made yes most people in the live Village don't know about it but their happiness their laughter everything was built upon Itachi's pain and Sasuke cannot stand that that's the most egregious thing for him he detests that he wants them to die is that the right thing for you to do no it's obviously a bad thing but it makes sense for the character people will say well why didn't Sasuke just go and kill danzo and the elders and that's it but no that's not the point the point is that the entire Village profited from Itachi's sacrifice obviously Sasuke was blinded by hatred he needed to get his revenge because Revenge has always been his goal in life yes he has had buns before but he severed them as much as he could revenge is the only thing he has left so he has to take revenge on the Lee Village for what they did to Itachi and for what what they did to Sasuke himself they misled Sasuke into trying to kill Itachi his entire life and Itachi didn't deserve to get killed by him though that's what Itachi had planned Sasuke disagreed with Itachi Sasuke had no other option other than take revenge that's what took over his Consciousness his self essentially and destroying the leaf Village was his priority Sasuke awakens the manga kill Sharingan after finding out about Itachi's anguish which fills him with pain and hatred blinding him with going back to the leaf Village and making sure danzo and the elders had justice served and then just you know going back to your normal life in the village be the better option yes remember Sasuke was a 16 year old 16 year old people tend to make some very bad decisions especially when you had so much trauma in your life you are bound to make bad decisions under those circumstances after you awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan after you're filled with power and hatred Sasuke joined the Akatsuki with the intent of using them so that he could destroy the leaf Village he fights b and a lot of people say that Sasuke shouldn't have won that fight because because his team helped him but yeah that's why he made a team so that they could help him it wouldn't just stand there and do nothing of course they would help and that's why they were there for so it doesn't make sense for you to complain that Sasuke only won because of his team and after that Sasuke goes for the Lee Village it's too late the leaf Village has already been destroyed by pain and an interesting thing happens here when zetsu comes up and says and Naruto has gotten stronger than Sasuke he's like I don't care about that which I've always read as a bluff I've always thought that Sasuke really cared about that in that moment but it was like nah I'm cool whatever and then he finds out danzu has become the sixth Hokage and is heading to the five kage Summits and that's when Sasuke begins to lose it when he gets to the five kage Summit and when zetsu exposes team taka that they are infiltrating the summit Sasuke gets mad and with that his mangek Hill Sharingan begins to evolve the more hatred he feels the more powerful he becomes it's intoxicating we can see that Sasuke is just letting himself be corrupted by the eye and the powers they're giving him because of the strength he receives after those discharges of hatred Karen even says that Sasuke's chakra is denser and more intense than the curse mark II and that's very early on in the summit before his mangakyu had fully matured and I personally like to see that in the character no going really dark side because you're being tempted and seduced by this power that's consuming you in this desire of hatred Sasuke kills danzo and in order to do that he discards his bonds with Team taka it didn't care at all about their well-being he laughed sigetsu and Jugo and the five kage Summit he pierced Karen with his Chidori spear so that he could hit danzo as well he was fine with letting her die so that he could achieve his revenge with that fight the same thing happens a lot of people say that danzo killed himself and Sasuke didn't win but danzo died after a direct confrontation with Sasuke a confrontation where he didn't have anything else that he could do in order to win so his last resort was to explode himself yeah Sasuke won the fight Sakura shows up Sasuke tries to literally stab her in the back with his Chidori and kill her and then Kakashi saves her but that shows how deep he has gone that moment would have been much more powerful had Sasuke not try to kill every single one of them in the tenshi bridge Arc because in that moment it feels was like okay he's trying to do that before but if Sasuke tried to kill Sakura then for the first time it would have been much more impactful it would have been like what Sasuke's crazy now and then he gets completely unhinged when Kakashi and Sakura are telling him to come back to the leaf Village and all that he says bring my family back and I'll go and then he laughs maniacally when Kakashi tells that he doesn't want to kill Sasuke because now he thinks Kakashi is a complete inferior he then fights Kakashi in a fight that was actually very lackluster I think that fight should have been much more grandiose because it's a big deal it's Kakashi versus Sasuke after all this time the first time Kakashi is seeing Sasuke after the time Skip and Sasuke was Kakashi's Prodigy they just swapped hands for a couple of moments Sasuke then awakens his full corporeal susano shoots an arrow at Kakashi he uses kamoy and the fight ends because Sasuke runs out of chakra and Naruto arrives to save awkward and all that and then Naruto and Sasuke have another confrontation in that confrontation Sasuke sees that Naruto has gotten stronger for sure they acknowledge each other once more and Sasuke even tells him about what he told him in the Valley of the end back in the day that high level shinobis can just know what the other is thinking by looking at them and they can they clash with the Chidori and the Rasengan and they essentially have this conversation in their minds because they know what each other are thinking Sasuke is then set on getting hitachi's eye so that he can awaken the EMS and destroy the leaf Village even though danzo is dead he touches pain remains and then comes the war Arc and this is when Sasuke actually starts to change for real and let go of his revenge it's as though when Sasuke got hitachi's eyes that made him calmer cooler even though he was still set on destroying the Lee Village he was more thoughtful the first thing Sasuke says when he awakens his EMS is these eyes can see well through darkness and this is very much intentional by Kishimoto saying Sasuke is different now he's matured he can see better and all the bad things the darkness that has enveloped his entire life he is seeing things more clearly now and he is open to change he meets Itachi and that is what actually Sparks a very big change they defeat Kabuto and Hitachi tells him the whole truth nitachi himself acknowledges that what he's done was wrong he should have trusted Sasuke he shouldn't have done everything by himself that if he had somehow told Sasuke about what was happening maybe the Uchiha Clan wouldn't have to die and the leaf Village and things could have been solved in a more peaceful way he even tells Sasuke no matter what you do next I will always love you I'll always support you I'll be by your side Sasuke and that really makes Sasuke think what is a Shinobi what is a village it then goes back to the leaf Village one of the best shots in the Naruto manga is the shot when Sasuke is looking over the leaf Village for the first time after the time skip when he goes up to that pole and just stares at the Village this scene completely mirrors the scene where Naruto comes back to the leaf Village after the time skip Naruto says oh you haven't changed at all Lee Village and Sasuke says how have you changed now sure materially it's because pain destroyed the entire Village and it was rebuilt so yeah it will look completely different but it's also deeper than that it's different for Sasuke because him arriving at the leaf Village at this point in his life with the experiences that shaped him with him knowing the truth about Itachi this place is just something else for him it's almost an alien place it's as though the life he lived in the leaf Village was someone else's life and he could have destroyed the leaf Village then and there he had the EMS he was one of the most powerful shinobis ever at that point in the story and the leaf Village was completely unprotected but the questions urged him to find the answers what is a Shinobi what is a village it needs to bring back the all-knowing the previous hokages and hashirama tells him about his backstory with murderer how it parallels Naruto and Sasuke's own lives and the sacrifices hashirama made to protect and create the Lee Village Sasuke sees that the bonds between Clans between ninjas and between people are important and he decides to protect the village that his brother gave his life to save he says that he wouldn't let Itachi sacrifice fires go to waste Sasuke goes to the battlefield and fights in the fourth great ninja war to protect the leaf Village and the Shinobi world with Naruto and once more team 7 is reunited and this time fighting alongside each other Sasuke even says that he wants to become the Hokage when he arrives to the battlefield everyone laughs at him and says that he's crazy but he was serious though his intentions were different to say the least after the Warrens it is revealed that Sasuke has different plans for the Shinobi world he intends to spark Revolution to finish off the five kage and the tail beasts but first he must take care of Naruto because he is the only one who can stand on Sasuke's way right now severing his last Bond you see after Sasuke learned about hashirama's story with matara and the cyclical nature of the Shinobi world ruled the war and the suffering he came to the conclusion that the system itself was the problem and therefore a Revolution was necessary it wasn't the leaf Village who made Itachi destroy the Uchiha Clan it was the system who made the leaf Village the way it was and the village made Itachi do that so the system is wrong and if the system continues after the fourth great ninja war the same thing is bound to repeat itself and this makes a lot of sense from Sasuke's perspective just think about it he is correct in the assessment that the system created the problems that plagued his entire life everything related to Itachi was created by the Shinobi system who was supposed to do something good for the world making sure kids would stay out of the battlefield but now instead of fighting Wars against Clans they're just fighting Wars against other Villages and kids are still going to the battlefields we see this when Kakashi was firing we'd even see when Sasuke and Naruto were in the Land of Waves so kids are still doing stuff that they weren't supposed to do and Sasuke sees that as a problem to begin with ashirama unfortunately has failed in his ultimate goal and the only person Sasuke thinks can do anything about it is himself Sasuke intends on drawing all the hatred and darkness of the world into himself so that the world can unite and stand together against him and where did Sasuke get that idea from well it's an amalgamation of things Itachi of course his brother that withstood the pain and the Darkness of having to slaughter his clan and being treated as the worst criminal in the history of his village but also hashirama send you story hashirama had to kill his best friend in order to protect the village he had to incur those losses he had to make sacrifices and that's what saski was willing to do now the problem is saski was never able to get rid of his bond with Naruto completely and now it's the time to do so Sasuke attempts to kill Naruto but he cannot they fight this grueling very tiring battle and at the end they tie sword off and then saski amidst defeat when Naruto is still willing to fight even though they are completely tapped out and missing an arm Naruto finally manages to convince Sasuke that no Sasuke the dark path is not the right path being alone being by yourself is not gonna bring you any happiness and it's not gonna make the world any better I only got stronger because I had people by my side I'm only here because people helped me because I was even able to befriend the tale Beast the demon that lived inside of me you cannot be alone it's not going to work Itachi only failed because they tried to do things by himself and you're doing the same thing right now you are bound to fail and I am not going to let my friend do that uniting the world and hatred wouldn't be the correct thing to do he sees that Naruto in this war has United the world not in hatred but in harmony now the Nations can live together in peace because they've been through this grueling experience of fighting moderate Uchiha and because they found common ground and Naruto LED them to that place in the last chapter which I honestly prefer to think that chapter 6 99 is the last chapter of Naruto because it's a much more impactful ending Sasuke still says that those feelings those emotions the Shadows the darkness bearing all that withstanding the pain and still moving forward still doing good that's what it means to be a ninja and that's when Sasuke's character Arc is complete lead Itachi's sacrifice wasn't in vain some of Itachi's actions may have been misled but his feelings were correct he had to endure the pain so that the village could live on and by Saving Sasuke's by Saving his younger brother he assured that his clan would survive Love Save the Uchiha Clan and love saved Sasuke as well from a darker path not romantic love
