Why Ravenclaw Is Awesome!

if I could bring anything to the scientific community I would like to bring in something I like to call the Ringo Starr effect basically it's the idea that if you're remembered for being forgotten then you're not really forgotten anymore in the case of the Beatles most people remember Ringo Starr now because he's like the butt of the joke like oh we all forgot about Ringo but now most people can't remember George Harrison was one of the band members this is what I think is happening to ravenclaw everyone loves talking about how Hufflepuff is the forgotten house and then everyone kind of forgot about Ravenclaw which sucks because I think they're a pretty cool house even my brother says so unfortunately we have no more time for my brother in this video but let me be clear I like ravenclaw but I don't think there's enough out there to give them hope or joy which is where I would like to come in and to talk about how amazing this house is we need to start with their traits namely intelligence intelligence is that one trait that everyone sort of influenced no matter who you are what your age is your background everyone wants knowledge to some degree it's the one thing we can't live without bread and clothes are just a group of people who put the pursuit of knowledge at the top of their priority list and try to fight ignorant wherever it may come up from it's a quite noble cause to be fighting for there the unconventional thinkers they're the progressives of our nations and to be honest we'd all be screwed without them Ravenclaw's tend to be more creative seeing the world in an alternative fashion and you know what this joke is the story of science course anyway it's this type of originality and ingenuity that we should have more of in this day and age but we are sadly lacking and while having intelligence is a good thing I'd like to argue that wisdom one of those secondary traits is much more important for combining intelligence and personal experience to create a more informed decision about pretty much everything I think it's important to cover some criticisms of Ravenclaw as there are many and I have in the past criticized the house as well so let's talk about some of the bad things are associated with the house where Ivan Flores described as the antisocial house more interested and hanging out with themselves rather than anyone else and they all seem to have really terrible social skills which you know I'm just gonna outright deny straight up sure some Ravenclaw's do fit this description just as some ice cream is vanilla but we don't live in a world where all ice cream is vanilla because let's be clear here that would the worst world to live in these statements seem to argue that all Ravenclaw's are introverted and while judging from my brother as a case study that's totally not the case the idea of introvert and extrovert is just how they get their energy extroverts get their energy from spending time with other people introverts get their energy from just being by themselves they don't need others to feel and in certain situations we've become introverted and extroverted just depending on who's there what's happening and how comfortable we are by it if I'm out with my friends I'll become one of the most extroverted people of all time but if I'm at a party where I know no one else I'm happy to just sit in the corner alone forever now normally I wait until a bit later on in the video to bring up characters as examples but Gilderoy Lockhart is the exact reason why I don't believe this at all he's an extrovert and man he's very well-spoken he's comfortable with speaking in public places he seems to get his energy from pretty much everyone around him the point is that he's still in a ravenclaw even though he has all these traits they aren't mutually exclusive and I know that he's an evil character but you know what I don't even agree with that he's just a self-centered man who manipulated others to get what may be that is evil there's this idea that Ravenclaw's are very rude to other people who they don't deem as worthy there's this weird superiority complex so there's attached to most of them well I do see that point I don't believe there's any malice in it I just think they're rather blunt willing to tell it like it is and always put the truth before anyone else's feelings because in the long run that's probably most important and they often have evidence to back up everything they're saying so it's not coming out of the blue it's not just unfounded hate speech Ravenclaw's don't sugarcoat their statements and that could be confronting to some people but it's often welcomed to most others I think it's time to talk about some famous Ravenclaw's we've got Luna Lovegood she's a she's pretty cool good workout I've already mentioned earlier let me check the tapes we have we have we have Church hang Church hangs pretty cool morning Myrtle yeah there aren't that many other like just off the top of your head how many Gryffindor's can you name probably the entire cast of Harry Potter Ravenclaw's I can aim like five one of the Patel twins maybe six we just haven't seen that many Ravenclaw's in that world and that's not a bad thing sure people need role models to aspire to but that doesn't mean that there aren't Ravenclaw's who have done amazing things we just haven't heard about them and radicals don't really need people to look up to either they they're very self-motivated they could push themselves to getting what they want because they they have a goal in mind and often when they reach that goal they don't want the fame or glory because they're just accomplished what they've set out to do their very self actualizing that's that's quite incredible and now for a new segment on the show I like to call what does the internet think where I look at the internet and see what they think pretty easy to unset I'm only gonna give you a glimpse of everything I've done here because if I gave you the whole video and the whole article and just react it to all of it we'd be here for about 30 minutes let's start with this video called struggles being a ravenclaw by Lindsey Anne first struggle that I have thought about is group projects the idea of group projects are utterly terrifying nine times out of 10 do the entire project or at least the majority of it so you know it'll be done right into the best of your ability I don't think that's just a ravenclaw thing I think everyone's gone through that at some point I know everyone in my family has and only my brothers in Ravenclaw so I'm not too sure about that one and there seems to be a few more like that in this video as well if in class trouble and number six is wishing you had a time-turner that actually worked so you could have more time to finish your assignments or to do the things that you love to be doing okay let's let's get this straight if you offer someone with time-turner they're going to at least consider it it's a it's a theme that's let you go back in time everyone thought about that at some point in their lives and even in the books it's not just Ravenclaw's I've done in Hawaii there was a whole plot point in the third book she's in Gryffindor and if you want to count the cursed child which I really don't know or just use it here Draco has a time-turner it's not just a ravenclaw thing it's time for a mandatory BuzzFeed article this one is 21 struggles only a ravenclaw would understand is that what clique baiting is like calling everything a struggle now maybe maybe I just don't get it I'm not I'm not here with the kids anymore no I've got my phone on me and this is this is quite terrible is getting tired from climbing all those stairs up to the dormitories when you can't figure out the doors riddle to get into the common room trying to sleep in but you're forced to wake up in the Sun because the dorms look like you you won't sleeping in those dorms okay let's get this straight right now you are going to Hogwarts holes doesn't exist you're not gonna get that letter you're way past eleven it's not gonna happen you can't say that you are going to have these struggles on a daily basis because you've never gone up as stairs you aren't in the common room all the time and I don't I don't get what this is my houses exist because we've made them the characters exist in a kind of weed way but you can't touch a mirror Beza red you can't touch the plots of a stone there is no diadem there's no definitely Hallows they don't exist stop using them as examples for why your house is the greatest because that doesn't work I'm skipping down to number 10 which is having the cheers bronze and blue or blue and silver if you're a Ravenclaw and you're still in an argument about what the house colors are I don't know what to tell you you're you're way past help you need help but you're way past it you're gone you're gone it's such a petty thing it doesn't mean anything because it's still ravenclaw I don't know what to tell you let's move on to red cloth celebrities sorted by Pottermore which kind of goes against the whole famous Ravenclaw's thing but uh roll the clip next up we have Queen Elizabeth the second I mean talk about blue blood she's blue through and through now she is the creator of the sorting hat she knows better than anyone JK can I can I call you that I don't think you have the authority to say that someone's in a certain house even if you were the one that created it I I know you'd like to think that but really these are real people you're talking about they could be completely different in their own personal lives you don't you don't get to see that side of the Queen high-crowned sons William and Harry went to the Harry Potter Warner Brothers studio in London and they were wearing blue when they attended so I think it runs in the family just because the royal family went to the set wearing blue does not mean that are all in ravenclaw that's I wear blue a lot doesn't mean I'm in ravenclaw doesn't Rebecca also made a lookbook video for a ravenclaw which is just a video showing off outfits that are all in blue to show off pride I guess like a like a favorite football team wearing their colors all the time I wouldn't call it what you would say high content but mainly I'm not the target audience so I don't think I have an input in that I would continue to criticize her content and others like it but I think they have an unfortunate problem of being nothing but Harry Potter videos there isn't lunch to talk about in the world of harry potter at the moment there's the fantastic beast series that's going pretty well and the new trailer just popped up for the new one but apart from that nothing else I mean just take a look at the five videos that were released recently by Rebecca tailgating whose video I showed you last I wouldn't call these bad I just say that the really stretched out she's run out of ideas and she's trying to find the most niche ones and it's kind of hindering her channel a little bit but having said that they make good content for what they have and that's important to note I just wonder how long it'll take before they start to realize that they need to diversify which is quite weed in the case of Rebecca because her travel was quite diverse at the beginning and then she narrowed it down to nothing but Harry Potter but she's in the situation where she needs to just open it up again and I'm not too sure how that's gonna go for her but I wish you all the best I acknowledge I got sidetracked there at the end but it's quite easy to do there's not much out there about ravenclaw as a house no one really talks about it no one seems to want to even though I know there's a large group of Ravenclaw's out there looking for content and the limited conversation about ravenclaw is the book stereotype ever or they're all bookworms all reading and they and yeah reading is an important part of being intelligent but it's not the only thing I chose to ignore the multiple times that these sites mentioned books or living at the library because we've all heard that before trying to at least be clever for once have an insight there's no insight in these articles and videos so the Ravenclaw's out there I hope that this video filled you with some pride or if anyone else is not a ravenclaw I taught you something about it and if I didn't teach you anything about the house I hope I taught you something about the world maybe I don't know it's been a while
