question and I've been asking it myself lately a lot because there's not a specific point in time that I you know can think back on and be like oh yeah that is exactly where this switch turned on but I do remember and Kai bought his first warnings I remember um just you know asking a lot of questions and you know my dad was always into watches and then I kind of fell into this Rabbit Hole of just Googling wrist watches and I remember uh looking up the Cartier tank and I don't know that one kind of I still remember that uh moment when I saw the delivery tank I was like damn that is a very good looking watch so I guess kind of both ways for me so like a point in time but also gradual thing because that was only the starting point you know and then I think as you all already know it's kind of a rabbit hole from then and you just dig yourself deeper into it right next step is what if you went uh to live on a tropical island and you had only enough space to bring three watches which ones would you pick and why I'm a watchmaker and just start following um oh well good for you thank you so much for following I have tropical island can only bring three watches what do I bring you know at this point because it sounds like am I alone on this island I need some entertainment I would hmm I was gonna say I would bring my Apple watch just for you know the entertainment Factor but that would run out of battery so scratch that um I would bring my candy pink for sentimental value I would explain me pink no I would bring like my candy pink then I would go for my G-Shock you know for the adventure stuff duh and the last one maybe not something from what I already own What Would I bring something fun maybe maybe I'm just kidding you know maybe something fancy and nice to look at because what else are you gonna do the particularly the skeletonized kind of travel the one entirely made from rose gold so those would be my three the Kenny pink my salmon pink G-Shock and the skeletonized color from Patek the next step is a lot of you guys wanted to know more about Gooby the cat and have you ever think about giving your cat a color watch it matches one of your watches um tell us more about your cats um it could be a good boy Gooby is a good girl by the way and yes she's a very good cat um we did think about uh for the fantasies just to put on a watch on her but I might be a bit uh too much but I mean she already wears a color with the GPS tracker on it her favorite watch though what is gooey's favorite watch I feel like Kobe has expensive taste and if she could have have it her way she would wear only solid gold watches I feel like she would be the cat to go for something like a vintage turquoise one um you know something you know flashy out there because she's a very outgoing and nice cat uh and I think that would match her personality she's she's a good girl we love her very much and now that it's summertime she spends most of her time Outdoors she has no worries in the world she lives her best life okay uh next up is I've always asked myself if we as watch enthusiasts succeed in getting our Grill watch one day what happens next will we be looking for a new Grail will we be satisfied for the rest of our life will the passion fade away if you want more useless questions ask me uh greetings from France Max no worry that is not acquire this one I don't know I don't think we will ever be satisfied there will always be a new watch coming out that will spark the interest so I think this is just an endless cycle of wanting other questions it's cool that you guys share watches are there any watches you love and your husband hates or why Versa how much bigger is his wrist um yeah I know it is pretty great I agree um any watches I love and my husband hates or vice versa I don't think and I don't know kai maybe you have to correct me I don't think there are any watches that he dislikes that I like the only thing that we just cannot agree on really cannot agree on is the GMT uh Master 2 root beer from Rolex he really likes the colorway I absolutely hate it yeah it's the it's the brown and black bezel that just does not do it for me I'm very sorry if you love this watch I think it looks terrible I'm just not into um I'm just into around colors that way on on a watch so I'm a 150 millimeter wrist in circumference and he's at about 170 in millimeter so it's not that big of a difference if if we share Rolexes for example we can kind of get around with the Glide lock and Easy Link yeah it's it's okay it doesn't work with the watches obviously if it doesn't have a quick adjustment what kind of a myth but we we tend to share watches which is pretty great get yourself a partner with the same or very similar risk circumference if you're out there dating um make sure to check that first next question is do watch YouTubers have better uh Chances with Rolex Eddies surely you guys will have fans working there who are more willing to sell you watches honestly it is it is nice that sometimes you get recognized from other people who are into watches but in my personal experience it has never helped with getting any watches on the contrary even because I feel that sometimes um people working at IDs or LEDs themselves just don't want to be associated with with watch YouTube is I don't know and another Google question I just could we prefer uh category foreign from scratch which much would you buy and which watchmaker is your favorite uh and someone else has commented which watches would you have never bought um starting from scratch honestly the first one I would go directly for would be the my sacral Prasad cocktail time with the red dial I am still so surprised how amazing this watch is it looks beautiful it is so lightweight it's the perfect size for me starting out with this one would have made total sense because it's an automatic it's interesting you've got a see-through case bag the bracelet is comfortable it is just such a good starter especially for someone with a smaller wrist my favorite watchmaker we all know that answer um and which watches would you have never bought I kind of I kind of want to say no I can't say my datejust I would have configured it differently a bit but I would still go for it can't answer that question let me know in the comments down below if just can't get on board with there are two that immediately come to mind for me don't Stone me for this answer but I just cannot really get on board with all of my Piggy I know I know iconic and and super um established such a fantastic complicated watches but I don't know AP just doesn't really do it for me somehow I don't know um and the second one would be Omega they're great watches it's objectively speaking I can't find anything wrong with them I'm just not feeling it maybe that's the the reason why maybe I need some more uh exposure to Mega let me know in the comments down below Instagram uh is there such a thing as summer and winter watch absolutely there is at least for me so winter watches for me are the ones that are heavier uh the ones that I can wear a bit more tights because my arms do tend to swell up a bit during the summer time when it gets warm outside so I do have my vintage Cartier Santos the one from 1991. I cannot wear this one in summer comfortably because um I cannot switch it to a different strap and there's no quick adjustment on the bracelet uh so I have to wear it pretty tight and also from the mood you know I feel like a a G-Shock is so much more fun during the summer time than in Winter because it's like it's lightweight it's it's Airy um it's just fun and I feel like a lot of other people have that same thing where they have a summer and a winter watch next question uh please talk about your datejust 116 234 versus the older 16234 why did you choose the new one well Simon that's that's very easily answered I just went into an idea and they only had the at that time the new one available so that's what I went for it was my first big watch approaches it was my wedding watch I did not sit down and was deciding between going for the five digit reference or the six Stitch reference it was just the one that they had and that I really enjoyed and liked I really don't mind the newer case in comparison to the five digit reference I still got which I'm very happy about the infinity bracelet the infinity Jubilee as I like to call it now the newer ones they do have a what x clasp the folding class one um and not the Julie throughout which I know I prefer this one uh can I recommend any vintage Watch dealers in d e please of course I can check out uh Maxwell fools I will link his description box down below and make sure to say hi to Max from me next step is how can you safely clean a mechanical watch soap and water steam Sonic water cleaner uh this is how I clean my watches so um let's take them off obviously make sure always that your crown is screwed down so there's not water getting into it obviously if you have a leather strap taken off don't rinse it in water but I just use um dish soap lukewarm water a very very soft toothbrush and paper towels and I just drip a bit of dish soap onto my watch get the toothbrush brush brush brush brush rinse it and dab it dry you can also use hair dryer to dry it more properly so don't get the little water stains on it you can technically get your bracelet into a Sonic water what is it called Sonic water cleaner um I wouldn't put my case into it because of all the vibrations I think that would just ruin it so don't do that if you have a solid gold watch I would not go for the toothbrush or the water method maybe an alcohol wipe it's like single-use alcohol wipes don't don't rub too much onto solid gold cases stainless steel watches are super easy to clean just get those um really really soft bristles on a toothbrush we've got in our kitchen a little bowl set aside which is just for just hairs like watch cleaning supplies in it and I recommend having the same just put away stuff that is only for watches make sure everyone in your household knows that it's just for watches and then you should be good uh Carlos wants to know what do I think of watch wedding I think watch wedding is great I am so envious of people who create these fantastic big mods and recreate like famous watch models by assembling different parts from other watch brands or just like modding Parts together it's so fun and yeah be on the lookout for watch body content on my channel next one is what do you think which is the best goddess bracelet and best in the entire watch world love your content thank you so much the best would Express that well it's a jubilee the the present one is also nice but hands down Jubilee prices I think it's the most comfortable the smaller individual links are I think the more comfortable can bracelet be most of the time and the best in the entire watch world that is tough to answer to me I remember when I was holding the Musa Streamliner for the first time that bracelet was that stood out to me so much it was so nice to touch it is so smooth in the way it just bends and oh wow that was fantastic so I think as of right now the first thing that comes to mind the best bracelet in the world would be the Streamliner bracelet from moza and the what I expressed it that I prefer is just a regular Jubilee bracelet preferably with that type of case because it looks the best I think oh that question um why is that choir so often hated a lot of bad rap Etc it doesn't seem justified I did a video on this I will link for you down below where I get into why I think tacoya gets such a bad rap the short version of this is basically that their marketing used to send very mixed messages and the the brand ambassadors that they've chosen were not ideal let's put it
