Why I'll NEVER go back to Popsicle Boards

you guys are probably so sick of hearing me talk about how much I love egg boards but I've got a brand new heroin egg board that I'm going to set up today and I'm going to tell you guys why I probably won't ever go back to skating popsicle shape boards so this heroin shell razor deck is 9.4 inches wide it's 32 inches long and has a wheelbase of 14.5 inches the perfect egg shape I've ridden from heroin and my favorite size it's a 9.5 inch Razor egg symmetrical board and this is a 9.4 inch board so I'm super Keen to escape this I shouldn't feel any difference at all because it's barely a fraction smaller from nine five to nine four and the length and wheelbase is very similar to that board as well so I'm going to set this board up slap some deck rails on it Go and scan it straight away I want to wear this in and feel how different it is compared to the 9.5 symmetrical egg at the same time it's getting a little warm up in and then I'll go over why I won't be going back to popsicle shape boards again foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] so just before I started skating these egg boards I went all the way up to a nine inch popsicle deck I was riding the orange anti-hero Eagle board and that board didn't feel big to me at all I don't know how often I'm going to be able to come across boards that are bigger than nine inch because now I'm riding regularly like a 9.5 up to a 10 inch of the egg board I know heroin make 10 inch popsicle boards but they're so hard to get your hands on them and I'm someone that needs to ride a board pretty consistently like I like to have the same board over and over and over again so I'm consistently writing the 9.5 symmetrical egg board today I'm riding that 9.4 but popsicle boards don't generally go up to those sizes so I'm not going to be able to go back down to a 9-inch popsicle board because I'm used to riding the bigger boards now and I don't know if I can consistently get boards that are bigger than nine inches for a popsicle so that's where my first dilemma comes into play so if there's a company out there that makes boards that are 9.25 to 10 inch popsicles I feel like that's going to be my sweet spot but I don't think I can go back down to riding a nine inch popsicle after writing all of these massive egg boards lately I am keeping my eye out for a 10 inch popsicle board so I know heroin dropped a new one in their spring catalog this season so I'm hoping to get my hands on one of them but it'll be enough to get one of them let alone get like five of them that I can consistently ride back to back to back so that's one main reason why I'll probably never go back to writing popsicles again but since I'm down here at Wollongong there's so many good street spots around so we're going to keep going spot to spot scale all the core spots out of here and then I'll get into the second reason of wild probably never ride popsicle boards ever again [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] spots are so fun we just pulled up to a sick car park that has the best sloppy curb in it it's long it's curved it's juicy ready to slide so we're gonna have a session in the car park then I'll go over the second reason of why I won't be skating popsicles again [Music] thank you [Music] [Applause] oh my God [Music] so the second reason I probably won't ever go back to skating popsicle boards again is because I actually love skating egg boards so much it's not just the bigger sizes but the shapes just feel so fun to escape the taping kicks help with quicker and lighter lollies your scooping tricks whip faster and they're so much easier to get into sloppy grounds that and the overall look and feel of an egg board under your feet is just the best I say this all the time but I definitely recommend you guys trying egg board out at least once in your life because you're most likely going to find all the benefits that I've found and really enjoy riding them I'm sure there will be a time in the future where I ride a popsicle board again especially if I can get my hands on that 10 inch popsicle board but at the moment I'm just loving egg boards so much and I don't see me switching back anytime soon to see all the main differences of a popsicle board versus an egg board check out this video right here and I'll see you guys in the next one peace foreign
