WHY I CHOSE FRANCE and NOT the UK || A LOVE STORY🫢

hi there so at the end of this video you're going to know why I decided to go to France I'm not the UK and if that sounds like something you're interested in then watch this video till the end now let's jump right into it [Music] so now if you watched my previous video I'm gonna put a link on the screen you'll notice that I said something about applying to the UK brief introduction so in 2021 I applied to 10 UK schools criminal University of London was my first choice because it was in France and it was in Paris the location is beautiful it's very close to the Eiffel Tower you know it's a very nice place and yeah so it was my first choice because there was a smaller campus I feel like I do better in a smaller campus and I'm doing a big campus I don't know how that makes sense but it made sense to me I don't know I find it being myself a lot of people are comfortable so being in a small campus just made me feel like it'll be like a community and yeah it's actually like a community in community University of London it says so yeah uh another reason was that I picked the course that I wanted to study which was techno Queen Mary University of London had it out of the 10 schools I applied to I got uh admission to nine of those schools I using the same statement of focus just a little bit trick just a little trick here and there uh the only school that didn't beat me was University of Kansas or Kent University I'm gonna return to these nine schools but I didn't get them at once okay I said September 2021 I was worried that I was not going to travel because I wanted to travel in 2022 that's also I applied for January 2022 session so at some point I decided to pick the University West of England in 2021 because he was the cheapest it wasn't what I wanted to study but I just felt like I was in that that point in my life where I was like I don't think there's anything for me in this country I want to come out I want to leave you know that was all I was just like thinking about the fact that there's nothing else for me me in Nigeria and I wanted to leave that was why I was so desperate and I was just like you know what let me just go to University of West of England it was cheap so I'm gonna choose it I started the process to go to the University of Western England and they moved their deadline three weeks forward so it was before for me to meet up on the deadline so I did not meet somebody there like my bank statement was about 20 48 hours late so they withdrew my admission they told me they could not continue with me blah blah blah it was depressing to be honest 2022 did not start on a good note because of that so it was very it was a very low point in my life it was down really really down and so yeah I started thinking of France because UK had already disappointed me right and I weighed my options with Yuki right you had to have like all your school fees you had to have everything all your financial everything like in one account and your school fees your upkeep everything has to be in that account which so you're talking about nothing less than 11m at once in your accounts which is a lot and then when I researched on the French um Visa process most people said they didn't even have some have six million in their accounts some had less than super just four some somebody had like 3.7 M and she got her Pizza somebody had 3.5 on the adults and she got her visa you know and I was just thinking about it I was like you know what instead of me stressing through this UK process that's plenty money because stop thinking of how you want to gather like 10 AM or gather like 12 a.m all at once or 15 a.m in some people's cases the fact about if I was going to go to university but we're going to go to my school's London campus it means I'm talking about nothing less than 20 amp in my account and I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment and that kind of stress because I did it before and it was really stressful and really stressful because even the UK processing amounts has been account for 28 days she don't go below that amount some say You're supposed to have like 20 million in your account before you get your cards or before you get your Visa that's 20 am not as it cannot be 99.999 million it must be it must be 20 M like you get so I wasn't ready for that commitment I wasn't ready to stress my family again after having to stressed them to the UK process it was a tedious process so the thing is between UK and French was a French processes stressful he is more stressful than UK princess but the advantage the French process has over the UK process is that French visa for the requirements doesn't really require you to have everything in your account okay so you can show them like receipts of your school part payment and have like 4M in your account 350.5 million in your account as a day and you get a Visa okay so but with the UK you need to have that school fees in your account complete so imagine you're paying like 12m for school fees then you don't have a need another um about 6 AM for okay that's really a lot I wasn't ready to do that so I decided to take the French process this time I know the UK process because I'm not particular a bouncy country I'm not looking for example I'm like if I don't go to this country I'm not succeed you know some people feel like they have to go to a particular place to succeed because that's where most people are succeeding my life is not like that I'm not wired like that I I feel like even those places that you think that people succeed more you can can go they are not succeed then you can go to a place where people are not doing socks succeed in as much and you'll still succeed like it's not really everything is always about the environment sometimes it's about you you understand and it's about God also like where does he want to favor you I tell people that My Success is Not territorial it doesn't really matter where I am it doesn't matter graphical location I'm going to be blessed you get it it doesn't matter where I am I'm going to be I'm a blessed child I was born to be blessed so blessings will always locate me yeah so I wasn't really worried about that so another Advantage the French process had over the UK process is that the French process is there's guidance right reference process is guidance like when I mean Guardians like the campus France was set up to help you okay campus Franco is there to help you so ensure you get your visa if you pass through campus France you have like 90 chance of getting your Visa okay especially if you listen to them if they criticize you they tell you what do every single thing they ask you to do right so it was always easy it was good for me because I could always like reach out to them and tell them that I'm worried about something and they will tell me oh this how to go about it you know that guidance kept me in the process also it's not as expensive the Visa process is not as expensive when it comes to Visa fees um health insurance health insurance those kind of things they're not as expensive as the UK for the UK now you need to pay NHS I think NHS or something I can't I can't remember because I didn't go I didn't go through the Visa process but yeah people that have done it they had to pay health insurance or maybe like about 300 pounds or so I'm not sure but was a lot of money compared to us that did like like me I did my health insurance for my Visa for like for three months Okay so all around the French process is cheaper than the English process okay than the UK process so you may want to consider that um another reason why I chose for answers because my school is in Paris one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it's a uq school so I can get it was like I could get the UK experience in none of that geographical location in one of the most beautiful places in the world and why wouldn't I like when they choose that okay um another thing the reason why I chose the France study Visa Roots instead of the UK is because um when you go to the UK once you've entered the UK you're on your own I don't know if there any government benefits I doubt I haven't heard of any government benefits for students like that like that you know but in the French they are very supportive for international students health insurance there is housing allowance there there are places where you could go and get free food like I'm not even joking I haven't gotten it yet because I've never really thought about it yeah well there are places where you can go as a student and collect free foodstuffs like fruits chocolates and stuff like that it exists yeah in France and so there's this support from the government it makes you feel less alone and like when you go to the UK you pay your rent you pay all these things and nobody's supporting you but you you know so that's how government allowance it ranges from about 88 87 Euros to 321 yeah 221 Euros so imagine you're paying like 600 rent and you're getting 221 Euros bro bro that's a lot of money so I thought about it and I was like okay the French process doesn't seem all that terrible I could do it the disadvantage of the French process is in the paperwork is too much it's overwhelming the process is so overwhelming that you can skip things without knowing that you're skipping things like it drives me crazy like when I was doing my own I was so scared I was just like oh my God oh my God how do I do this how do I do that you know I'm gonna look at my list and I just remember that oh my God something skips my mind I'm like what if I forgot whatever and I was doing everything by myself I booked my flight myself every single thing every single thing I think every single thing by myself as but not least I chose fans because my partner stays here so it was an easy decision after the UK had already disappointed me so it was very easy and I just waited I was like okay maybe before I stayed here I was like okay my back not stayed here he's based in France correctly and so you just made a lot of stand I was like you know what I'm moving there you know so yeah so it was at least decision for me I just spent more time with my partner I got to be in the city that I love I get to be in a school that I love I'm really grateful for everything you know and yeah another reason oh my God this video is going to be all right please because I didn't write anything but yeah another reason why I chose the country is called the language okay I felt like it's an opportunity to force myself to learn a new language okay so if you are open-minded if you're like me and you want to take risks you should go for it okay okay I think at this point it's gonna be the
