hello everyone my name is imanu and I'm back with another video after a very long time I think it's been four months and I am with my friend sidhant who's going to talk about his V Visa rejection it's a different video and um he will talk about his journey from giving his first interview of Visa then second attempt and then he's in Northeastern University pursuing Masters in information system and he started his course in Fall 2022 so now he will tell us about his timeline um admit yeah so I got the admit during mid of March and the first interview was that was scheduled that I was rejected for was on 17th of June and second interview that I was expect like accepted was for 19th of August so first interview 17 June and second the 19th of August so there was two months of gap between that okay so first interview was uh in Mumbai like I stay in Mumbai so Mumbai choose but I was like I don't know if you guys know but I was given like I got counter 34 which was very Infamous during that time and my slot timing was around 7:30 a.m. that is the first bunch of people that go inside the embassy and give the interviews so to add here um I'm also from Fall 2022 batch and uh When I Was preparing about the visa interview but still which was I think 34 who mostly rejections irrespective of any University so unfortunately he fell into that counter and U now he'll talk yeah so I was rejected only on one question so that was like how many admits you got other than Northeastern so I said I got four admits other than Northeastern I named them the universities and then he took a pause of 30 seconds and he said sorry you don't qualify this time for your visa and that's it then like 30 40 seconds and then what was the reaction so like first initial reaction was that I was not understanding what was going on like like the walk from the counter to like I was like very nervous and I was like shattered shattered like because like every guy goes through this like one year of phase where you give your gr toel L sop College selections and money money huh and like a lot of money is in worlded in at least India like 7,000 8,000 per application goes around I think application fee application fees yeah some I mean 15,000 rupees or 20,000 rupees per application and then it's more of your family is also involved in this journey your friends are there yeah so like tough but then so usually um students usually already Dua slots is almost next to Impossible but uh I think somehow um he got the second attempt also so he'll continue yeah so like the main thing that that I changed between the first interview and second interview was like my profile so profile me I did like a changed my like upates like research paperish and then I also did two three courses which helped me like to make my case stronger why that why I want to go to this University and for this particular course and then many people helped me in this during Journey like including my parents my friend like PR par diaki ATA and also my counselor he played a very important role in like we used to discuss like where things went wrong in that one question because analysis only one question so people said that Lu factor I got that counter otherwise exception but but how you um how you started the Journey of finding the second slots and I remember fourth fifth August so I like and message started popping up that interview slots are open and then I saw the website and I got the slot of 19th of August and then I scheduled the interview uh and the second interview was around like 15 to 20 minutes around 15 20 minutes okay like he asked me around 10 to 15 questions in total mhm yeah so in the second interview questions usually so I'm assuming yeah so every indidual to get accepted in second attempt is very tough because they don't want to waste time on an individual who has been rejected by their own colleague or person so second slot timing around 11:30 a.m. and this time the counter was 28 Lily so I went in and the normal typical line of questioning why this un City what is your specialization what course how many admits is going to fund you and what are your future plans year around 6 s minutes because answ so took a look at his screen for 30 40 seconds like around 1 minute okay and then he asked me were you rejected last time yeah and he asked me like how many Gap months Gap I said two months and then he said why you think you were rejected I said so I was I think I was underc confident during that interview and I was not able to put my case strongly that why I want to go to univers City and buy this particular course so he said okay and then and he asked me what changes you have done in your profile from last two months I said I have made published two one research paper in i e and two courses that are related to my masters and which will help me in my masters if you have to improve your profile otherwise they will be like uh you got two months but still you haven't done something so yeah you have to be prepared for everything yeah and uh then he asked me about more about research papers like what I have published than oh yeah so like typically like what was about research paper and that I think he had a computer background because he he asked me many technical questions about that but usually these things don't happen Compu backgr ex so resarch are you more interested in research when you go to Northeastern and any typical professors since I was more oriented towards data and so your specialization is going to be in a data streamline yes and yeah 30 4 seconds was to someone and he said yeah you are accepted and all the best for your Masters hope you shine that's it and so interview 19th August and you got your visa on uh 23rd of August and your flight was on 2nd of September yeah so you can imagine so he held his nerves pretty much very well and um take hopes second attempt usually Facebook grsa talk to people talk to counselors if you have so everything will be good and uh yeah this was all about this video and after coming here also he's currently doing his intern uh or co-op in plmouth Rock Insurance as a product analyst intern so next video will be about his journey that how he got his co-op in this particular bad market so that's all for this video bye-bye
