Wow. The descriptions of the 1811 quakes sound way more apocalyptic than I expected. At first I was like "wow, they really spiced up their account", then they explained all the science behind why it was true and now I'm genuinely scared.
There were many sand boils recorded in Memphis at the time.

I watched this last week and I am just reminded of how ill-prepared Memphis and a lot of other cities in the region are.
November 2021 there was an earthquake ripple in Tennessee, originating in Missouri. It could happen any day.
