a couple of years ago I found an inspiration from a friend who began learning to code just three months prior initially he was making great progress but he ended up quitting just a couple of months after I joined him on this coding Journey despite starting with motivation and hope for a new career in software things didn't go as planned for him and this usually happens to the vast majority of people trying to learn cold they end up quitting so early this often stems from the misconception that coding is a downhill battle lots of influencers and Tik tokers make it seem like learning to code is so easy however the reality is that learning to code is an uphill battle demanding gret and patience consequently many individuals abandoned their Pursuits at the first sign of difficulty the issue lies in new developers failing to accept that coding is hard and filled with challenges many give up too soon without waiting to witness their progress however this perception does not last long because the deeper you dive into coding the quicker you learn for instance if it took you 3 months to grasp a new technology a year later it might only take you a week or two to learn a new one this accelerated learning is possible because the fundamentals remain constant making it easier over time to grasp new technologies and progress as a developer and and in the grand scheme of things it's all about long-term strategy being consistent for 6 months or even a year may seem like a significant investment but when you consider the span of a career in the software industry which can last 30 to 40 years it is relatively short moreover the potential for six figure pay adds to the appeal think about it people spend 4 to 5 years in college just to earn a degree so if you think one year is a long time to progress your life you should rethink it think of why you start this many new developers like the why having a why is very important maybe you hate your current job and you want to change it maybe you want to have a better pay and a better life quality all of them are valid reasons to keep you going after all you need to have a why and you need to write it down so you do not forget why you have started in the first place failure to track progress is also a common Pitfall among new Developers without a structured plan in place they often jump between programming languages leading many to give up early on their Journey you need to do your research and decide in advance which speciality you want to pursue if you want to be a front-end developer backin developer or mobile developer you name it once you have decided on a track please stick with it and give yourself a chance to improve and build some projects before decide to give up talking about projects the biggest reason that I see developers quit for is being stuck in tutorial hell watching tutorial after another but once they try to build something on their own they end up being frustrated this is a serious issue and should be avoided at all costs and it will determine if one makes it as a developer or not get out of your comfort zone and start writing code you can use Google when you are stuck the most important is to create the habit of writing code and building features on your own eventually you will learn how to do it and it will become easier just trust in the process mentioning the process many new developers do not take it seriously they do not invest the time and the effort to learn and they are not consistent with their learning schedule they have a long Gap between each learning session ending up forgetting what they have learned and become stuck in the same point for extended period of time which leads to them getting frustrated and giving up consistency is more important than intensity so studying one to two or even three times a week is much better than studying 10 hours as a one shot every week you will end up burning out and it will not be enjoyable nevertheless the gap between each session is too long so the information will not be fresh and present and your mind to recall back best of luck on your journey thanks for watching and see you on the next one
