Moving away from apps, and instead using services via the web and bots, strikes me as the most likely scenario, or at least a very plausible option. That's why it's especially frustrating that the Edge browser is so half-baked still. For W10M users, it is our only portal for a lot of things given how sparse the App store is. Microsoft can't force developers to create apps, but it could push the envelope with its web browser so that the lack of apps is not so significant.
Very Windows favourable. I did find it very interesting though.
I see things getting interesting in the next 3-5 years
