hey everyone i'm reed fisher i'm a professional runner for adidas and tin man elite and i've been wearing woop for about three years now i'm going to run you through some of the new features that come with woop 4.0 i've just upgraded from moop 3.0 a few months ago and i've been wearing this for yeah probably about 90 days now so i've been waiting enough and diving into the new features enough to give you guys a little bit of background on what's new with it so woop 4.0 is is really just the next evolution of loop i've found you know that the differences between luke 3.0 and 4.0 are really just nice natural progressions from the things that all of us liked about whoop 3.0 and then just really dialing in what woof does and then making sure it does it even more effectively so the biggest thing you're going to notice between the old strap and the new strap is going to be the sensors the new one is updated with four additional sensors and really just helps get more accurate more detailed information so that when you're looking back on an activity or when you're waking up and checking your sleep you get more detailed and more accurate feedback so with those new more detailed sensors which is going to track a few more metrics now so instead of just the hrv and heart rate that you used to get in with 3.0 now 4.0 adds the addition of blood pulse oximeter and skin temperature which is great just checking to make sure that you're staying healthy a few of the more cosmetic features of the new strap it's 33 smaller so i don't think you know wasn't something that felt like a big clunky watch on your wrist in the first place but having it feel a little more trimmed down and just i've noticed when taking a shirt on and off in the winter with the long sleeves it's really nice that it just kind of goes right over it and you just notice it even less than you did before so another new update for those of you who like to update the look of your loop uh really easy to just swap out the new kits now so the old one you kind of had to unhook a bunch of stuff and it was kind of a lifting exercise and now you can just unhook this here slide that off and swap in a new kit so it's much easier much more painless you don't feel like you're fighting the strap as much and there's a bunch of new options on woop.com for you to really dial in and customize the way that your strap looks another big quality of life improvement has just been the new battery pack uh the old one slid right on same as this one does but as you can see now this white will tell you how charged the strap is which is just a great thing to be aware of while you're charging it uh it also is waterproof which is a big game changer i know the the beauty of the old battery pack and this new one is that you can put it on and keep wearing your whoop and just go about the rest of your day but a lot of times you know guys on our team and just other people we've talked to would forget to take their battery pack off when they hopped in the shower after workout and then the pack would hold up decently if it got a little wet but this new one's waterproof and water resistant so that you can bring in the shower and it's not the end of the world and you don't need to get a new pack so that's been really really nice just to have that piece of mind and then for me one of the biggest features that i think has been a great improvement between the old boob strap and the new 4.0 is the haptic vibration sensors that they have in there now so biggest thing for me is you know i want to make sure when i'm waking up in the mornings i'm as recovered as possible and so the new whoop you can go into the app and with the 4.0 strap you can set an alarm to wake you up during a certain time period once you're in the green for a recovery standpoint so for mine i have it set up to wake me up no later than 8 am but if i'm in the green and coming out of a sleep cycle before 8 am it'll wake me up when it's most natural and i'm recovered enough to wake up and it's just a nice on your wrist vibrates just gently wakes you up so that you know it's time to start your day and you're going to start off in the green and then the last thing i'll talk about is really just a again it's a furthering of the idea that they had about a year ago now once coveted hit and whoops really been intentional in the new strap about incorporating more features that will help people know if they're staying healthy or not so they've actually lumped all of those metrics into one place called the health monitor so you can wake up and check and see if your metrics are in a standard deviation to make sure that okay you know i'm healthy so it tracks your skin temperature your resting heart rate your respiratory rate your hrv and your blood oxygen saturation so just five things that will really let you know if anything's a miss and then you need to maybe get a kova test or just have a low-key rest day to make sure that you're nipping the sickness in the bud before it becomes a real issue for you in your training so all in all loop 4.0 is really just like i said a nice evolution from the whoop strap that most of us have been wearing for the last couple years now for me whoops just a key piece of my training to make sure that you know it's more confirmation making sure that i'm doing the right things i get to see the benefits of you know drinking more water throughout the day going to bed a bit earlier skipping a drink at a bar after dinner or something like that so for me i've said this all the time but whoops really just accountability on my wrist and this new 4.0 strap really just up solved that and makes it even more gamified that you know i can wake up in the morning and be excited to see how recovered i am or you know see how much water i can drink throughout the day so that i wake up in the green and things like that that really just encourage good habits and help mitigate bad ones so if
