Who is Jason Sides?

Larger than Life [Music] [Music] character Jason sides is I think kind of one of the one of the the few guys out here that that really seems to care about the well-being of every person around Jason sides you know he's honestly one of the nicest guys probably that you could ever meet uh one of the most helpful people Jason sides Jason's been out here as long as I can remember um owner driver crew chief kind of does it all drives his own truck up and down the road Jason's the the ultimate have a good time guy um just a really good guy all around owner and operator of sides Barn Grill and uh probably one of the most selfless people out here going to do anything for anybody out here uh whether it's a fan crew driver I feel like if you ever needed something you know Jay would be at the top of the list of people to call you I think he would drop just about anything to to help you I just think when you get out here you know there's two different mindsets you get into certain guys get in particular deals and their money's there and you get good backing and everything and it just kind of snowballs from there and you turn into this person or that person on Jason's deal I think you know what he Prides himself on is you know he does everything his way his stuff you know nobody tells him what to do and um you know a lot of people out here you know proba envying for that because a lot of people wish they could do it too so Memphis Tennessee sexy 70s February 73 perfect um how'd you get into racing um that goes way back we did BMX started BMX in probably 80 81 maybe moved on to dirt bikes we had a motocross track there at Memphis um did that for 10 years Sprint car racing in 93 we own a RAC trck there at Memphis we raced it ran it uh got everything ready watered graded all that and then raced on Friday nights 93 through 95 was there at home 95 through 99 Wass 2000 2001 and two were gum out 03 was the first year with the Outlaws 2003 yeah so the the king's role in ' 04 was the first the first race that I won with the Outlaws it was an outlaw win um it it ended up being to me kind of like you know five Outlaw wins at a at a time because it paid that much we were fortunate just to make the race and we started 13th um got to seventh and then they started laying rubber got passed by two got up in line in ninth and then attrition fell cars through attrition they fell out be wearing a trailer Roofus Phil grman has a flat tire flat tire and then during the yellow Caution third place Donny shots got the flat tire wasas Smith adjacent sides the sides has moved all the way up to third with the attrition another flat tire on the right rear the right rear takes all the abuse here at l and at the same time Jason Myers and we won the race I don't know what to say we got lucky and uh we conserved our tires I guess a little bit the hell of a party Jay is uh he's just a genuine person he gave you the shirt off his back he can take um he take lemons and make lemonade when most people just squash them and walk away got to have fun if you don't have fun then you'll you'll hate life but if you have fun with it then that's that's all that [Music] matters who is Jason S truck driver guy works on a race car um used to used to [Music] race um just somebody don't want a real job don't punch no time clock never have never will
