Who Exactly Is Firefly? | Honkai Star Rail Lore

Bacon's main story has been pretty awesome so far the story has been nothing short of engaging there's been a bunch of new characters introduced a lot of different alliances forming but most importantly the story has left most players with this looming feeling of dread as nobody seems to be that trustworthy one of those characters is Firefly yes I know a bunch of you have already fallen in love with her and she can't possibly do anything wrong but who is she really and more important L can we really trust her well that's what we're going to be discussing in this video before we talk about Firefly though if you want to see more honai staral content do consider subscribing to the channel given that pentacon was recently just released it goes without saying that there's going to be a bunch of spoilers in this video so if you haven't gone through the story I really suggest you do that and come back to this video later as pentacon narrative has been really gripping so far and I wouldn't want to Rob of that one other disclaimer is that in my Scramble to clear the story content I haven't really gone through some of the side quests and event quests so there might be details from some of those that I'm missing out also I have quite a lot of ideas when it comes to discussing Firefly so I'll warn you that this is going to be a slightly longer video either way let's get into the main topic we meet Firefly in the most typical Damsel in Distress way as she's being questioned by some of the security detail of the family specifically the blood hound family the blood hound family claimed that they are looking for a stowaway who is described to be someone with silver hair because of her hair presumably Firefly is suspected to be this person an altercation develops and we eventually run into the group's leader Gallagher who clears things up claiming that they are looking for a man and not a woman to return the favor Firefly offers to become a tour guide for the Trailblazer showing us around the golden hour dream while she initially claims to be a native she does eventually reveal to us that she is indeed a stowaway though it's unclear if she's the person who the family were searching for she also claims that she is an Interstellar Refugee and her hometown was destroyed by either the Legion or the Swarm she goes on to say and hint that she might have a condition called the entropy loss syndrome which progressively dissociates the physical structure of a person from reality I just take this to mean that physically she's slowly disappearing now I won't Explore her entire story here as the video is more about who she might might be but a lot of these details will reinforce the first Theory I'm going to talk about being that she's actually Sam the stellon hunter well not exactly Sam but someone related to him it it'll make sense once I go through this the first reason why I think this is purely her design in our fight with Sam we see him utilizing a lot of fire and throughout the story it's hinted that Sam's powers revolve around some ability to incinerate his foce likely tied to the capabilities of the suit but in the trailer we actually see him Sprout wings that are greenish in color coincidentally this is Firefly's entire color scheme she even has the same shade of green the other thing that makes me think they are the same person or at least related is that despite being hinted that they were working together in the Dreamscape as Firefly was speaking to someone referring to them as Mecca and that most of the enemies we come across were burned to a crisp we've never actually seen them in the same room even the recordings and memory fragments only ever show Firefly it seems that whenever we see Sam Firefly isn't there and the opposite is true as well so this makes me even more suspicious that they are one in the same or related in some way lastly she reveals that she is indeed a stowaway but the description fits a silverhead man and not a woman implying that it's Sam and not Firefly though this seems to be too on nose if they were really related in some way I could see the family confusing one for the other now the specifics of this is where the theory breaks down into even more parts the simplest iteration of this is that Sam and Firefly are one and the same Firefly is piloting the meca suit and Sam is just a name she adopted perhaps the suit is nothing more than an empty suit and Firefly is remotely operating it there are some other interesting Alternatives though it's possible that given Firefly's implied existence of not having or rather losing her physical form maybe she is akin to a Consciousness that exists within Sam's suit perhaps Sam is indeed a different person and fireflies Consciousness lives within his suit much like Cortana and Master Chief from hillo in that vein she could also turn out to be an AI and she and Sam work together maybe her reveal of being a stow away isn't referring to penacon but rather Sam's suit I mean we haven't really seen her in the real world and only in the Dreamscape even her death had her dissolv into a pool of goop rather than leave a body behind there's also a possibility that the opposite is also true where she is the physical pilot and Sam is the suit's AI when Sam supposedly tricked her when he trapped her in one of the monitoring rooms perhaps he wanted to save her or keep her alive knowing she would be vulnerable sort of like a benevolent AI protecting its Master this might also explain why memory fragments only show Firefly and not Sam since perhaps AI don't have memories accessible to memo Keepers another really interesting thing is that dramatically fireflies in nature often appear like flickering Flames like ambers floating in the air almost like a fire on its last life the juter position of Sam's usage of overwhelming flames in battle while Firefly is thought to be flickering out of existence due to the entropy loss syndrome seems to be a really interesting comparative symbolism that might link them in some way now whether she is actually Sam or she is an AI or even if Sam is the AI and she's the pilot is unknown this could just be a red herring meant to throw us off the mark but a lot of the story of Sam and Firefly seemed to be too interwoven for it to be mere coincidence that said there could be an explanation on why we see trailer Sam appear different from the in-game Sam Maybe to retain her Consciousness or something after her death she later merges with the suit changing it somewhat and why we see Sam appear differently in the trailer but for now I'm very much inclined to the idea that Sam and Firefly are either the same person or at least have a strong relationship an alternative idea to this is one that doesn't involve Sam at all given everything we know about Firefly there's a possibility that she is a sentient memory or Consciousness let me qualify this before you click off to another video so far we have only ever seen Firefly in the Dreamscape and not in physical reality secondly her death didn't leave a body and only a pool of goop to add to that she has been in pentacon long enough by her own admission to not only be familiar with the Dreamscapes but even know the edges of the dream and secret areas and on top of all of this despite Black Swan pulling her out of the dream where we met the death meme thing and not having the code silver wolf provides us she still appears in the hidden Dreamscape something even Black Swan a memo keeper thinks is impossible all of this might suggest that she might be some form of sentient memory or mematic existence like the memoe keepers as she's able to Traverse the dream almost unimpeded now we don't really know her past but there might already be an explanation behind this idea she claims and hints that she has anthropic loss syndrome which like I mentioned earlier makes me think she's just losing her physical form but perhaps not her Consciousness perhaps before it took effect completely she entered the Dreamscape and has constantly existed within it a Consciousness without a physical body to return to this might explain why we haven't seen her physically in reality and how she is able able to enter practically Any Dream we are in but given this theory is also a bit hard to prove let's move on to the next one another really weird alternative to how she's able to exist in this way is perhaps she is the stellon or its manifestation now pentacon in the past used to be plagued by a stellon but it has since disappeared I highly suspect that it's still around however and perhaps is even the basis for the Dreamscape the family has created as each stellon seems to have its own sense s perhaps Firefly is pentacon stellon attempting to break free it might also be why she reached out to the main character given they are a walking stellon themselves however since we haven't seen or heard of the stellon at all again this theory is difficult to prove until more of the story is revealed one last possibility I thought to include in this video is that perhaps Firefly and Robin are related or maybe even the same person this one is a bit of a stretch as the reasoning behind it is a bit circumstantial but it's still interesting enough that I feel I should include it during Firefly's death her chest was clearly punctured by the death Meme and when we see Robin later it seems she has the very same wound this could mean that they are one in the same person given the similarity in their wound locations Firefly also made some reference to Robin's song when she was speaking to the Trailblazer so that could be another hint that their are connection the stowaway thing could also apply here as perhaps Robin was pretty pretending to be someone else in this case Firefly so she's a stowaway in Firefly's body while in the Dreamscape this idea though brings up a lot of other questions like is it possible for someone to inhabit a different form in the Dreamscapes did Mr Sunday know Robin was doing this given he knew Sparkle was impersonating Robin at the end and why would Robin even do this it's still a possibility I can fully discount so I thought to still include it here now given everything I've shared here it's still largely possible that Firefly is an entirely new person unrelated to whatever is going on here and someone with their own story arc every coincidence so far has just been exactly that a coincidence she might even end up being a puppet used by one of the bigger players and the Firefly we meet isn't even the real one I mean do you remember what happened to the last St guide the nameless had yeah she turned out to be manipulated by an emanator of Destruction and got her next snaap there is no shortage of theories when it comes to Firefly as we're still early into the story maybe she's related to March given they have similar eyes maybe she's related to the main character given their hair color maybe she's actually the watch maker there's a myriad of different possibilities I'd like to explore but they'll just make this video a three-hour long one and I'd like to avoid that I'd also like to remind whoever is still watching at this point that a lot of these are just theories none of them are confirmed so take whatever I've shared here with a grain of salt whatever the case may be we are still in the early portions of pentacon story and while we can't really trust anyone right now Firefly seems to be very Central to whatever is happening here the only thing I hate about all this is that we'd have to wait until 2.1 to really figure it out but I'm excited for it nonetheless let me know in the comments who you think
