Where Planes Meet Trams - Every Metrolink Stop on the Manchester Airport Line

we're here at Weber's Road we're visiting every tram stop on the airport line and we're going to make the airport Lane interesting we are we're going to have lots of fun today yeah we're meant to be phasing you out yeah well what are you doing here are unionized play the music [Music] volleyball Road we're in the middle of More Death road which is not volleyball Road no that's my way [Music] got distracted by the sign that's a surprise let me guess is it not a good sign it's now time for that segment we like to call Ultimate geeking with Brim and here's grin behind me is Heidi Lane you probably didn't realize that this unassuming Suburban side street which now is a drumline ring Downey was meant to be one of the main roles from the M60 into Manchester City Center as you probably figured out it was never built meaning that all the Junctions on the M60 point in the wrong direction which means that this is why the entire Southwest of Manchester is just impossible to navigate by a car properly now it's used for Farms which is a better use you can upload a video anytime soon well I could have done one now but I'm doing this with you [Music] this is nice I'm liking this now that we've got the ultimate geeking with Bryn out the way we can go and see some nice things like some water okay maybe a river hey wait a minute I think now we've got the [Music] all the amount of metals suggests that there's a lot of Stormy ground which is probably related to the unbuilt road what's fun about that pack throw please explain you think I got my water fix come on you love the water yeah you can hear something coming so cool I never just had the realization that I started cycling with the mercy didn't I I did part one I still gotta get to Liverpool yeah look friend there's a pile on over there you like this there's a sign over there bringing you on your favorite walk yeah I've already done this walk yeah we can do it again it's a lovely walk there's you know trees birds leave him here yeah bye bran vibrant [Music] if there's one thing that this theory is is teaching me is that there's loads of actual nice places not far from a lot of tram stops go exploring Metrolink and you can come to places like this [Music] [Music] Northern wall there's nothing here it's fair [Applause] the next stop [Applause] I wasn't wearing that it was it women's Shore Park there's nothing here the next stop will be Mall Road [Music] more Road there's nothing here I'm seeing a pattern in wyvern Shore [Music] the next stop will be badly [Music] badly stop there's something here yay I'm here on the Railway Bridge at Bagley the Metrolink goes over here and down there is the Stockport to Altrincham Lane which would be a perfect place to you know build a station even convert that to Metrolink and then you can maybe you know get from altering into the airport you know maybe making it easy [Applause] just an idea [Music] the next stop all right okay this is getting ridiculous we've got to find something interesting on the airport Lane we finally reached the zone three four boundary but there is an unfinished plan here at Round form over there [Music] we're on the corner just after around Thorne station and this is where the other part of the wyvenshaw loop was meant to go and it was meant to go that way to the airport a quicker way but the only bit that got built was down three wyvenshaw Town Center I might have had a new YouTube video I'll win that yet built very much foreign [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] much quieter okay cross Acres guess what no we're not saying that here why is there something here yes what Costa oh got my Orcs up then it's quite telling the new Woody got off or on the tram here apart from Earth this is one of the contenders for the least used on the network isn't it here and Robin Robin's world we are ridiculously close to whip and Shaw Town Center here which is why we're going to Costa yay I'm finally gonna get my coffee it's a garden village evening that's what it's based on it's the garden really principle so this tram line is space that was left for a big dual carriageway but much better use now [Music] like normal people [Music] why is there a stop just there and then just there so like Robinwood road we were gonna walk to the next one which is peel Hall but there's not actually that long until the next fam and we wouldn't make it so plain foreign explore the Metrolink Network just don't come be on sale water park because it's not worth it yeah unless you want to spend it forever on the tram unless you like airplanes the next stop will repair your call [Music] I think we know what we need to say in this situation there's nothing here is a very green area I'll give it that so
