ash blogs is a seemingly innocent YouTube channel started in April of 2018 you have the page a quick glance and chances are most of what you see won't faze you it all comes off as fairly standard for any vlog type Channel you've got story time videos like comedy vlogs and even one in the style of your odd ones out slash Jaden animations type channels of course if this was all that was going on then we wouldn't be having this conversation through the point okay okay so just looking at the single page of videos a couple things already seem a little off in this case we're talking about two videos in particular clearly I'm talking about these two okay now I'm actually referring to these because after doing this BS for like three point five years stuff like this just sticks out to you like a sore thumb just to be clear this video is going to be a bit dense so please watch it until the end before you start screaming fate we'll get to that later when everything is laid out properly [Applause] [Music] [Applause] now before we get into those two specific videos a bit of background information needs to be established Ash logs video number one a fairly standard intro to a new channel audio quality crying baby in the background although I can't really talk because there's a lot of background noise my stuff these days because my roommates can't shut the [ __ ] up anyway video number two story time video where Ashley talks about what she describes as abandoned warehouse 5 she actually wrote that out I had like a keep hats on and everything it was like an abandoned warehouse vibe so I know this video actually is pretty funny oh it Ashley also addresses the background noise in the first video claiming that it's her next-door neighbor Katie's child video number 3 Ashley is being kept awake at night by said baby Ashley is not pleased video number 4 Ashley talks about her day at work to summarize it sucked baby reports still crying and now we've arrived at sketch time you're probably all going to hang me for this but before we dive into Exhibit A we're going to pick out a few interesting details about the first four videos I just described to you remember Daisy Brown the Daisy Brown that I covered a few months back hopefully you watch that video because if you didn't like what are you doing with your life anyway I describe Daisy Brown as a multi-layered experience watching the videos a face value is interesting but if you turn on the captions you'll find a whole new layer of story to enjoy now calm your boobs I'm not about to say that these two are connected but they both do share that multi-layered experience [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so if you head back to the Ford videos we previously discussed three of them include links to unlisted videos that were all uploaded on the same day as the videos they're attached to keep this in mind back to video one now what if we click on that spooky spooky little link we get a glitchy video from the interior of what appears to be some abandoned building someone for some reason is using a laptop in their daring can saying that there probably isn't a place to plug the thing if their battery were to run dry anyway something to point out if you look at the laptop screen you'll notice that it's on the Youtube upload page so how about the link in the second video where Ashleigh explores the abandoned warehouse this time we get the same scene but from someone else's perspective take note of the audio like it was said earlier in this video Ashleigh addresses the background noise heard in her previous upload claiming it to be from her neighbor's baby she actually gets on her camera this time you guys can actually meet it guys wanna meet Katie hello you there like who else would it be you're talking to someone else the dory I'm just messing with you enjoy I'm actually and I'm filming at the moment I'm making a blog a vlog I am I'm filming I'm doing something for YouTube making a video yeah you should be in one one time yeah that's fine of course of course I hope you feel better yeah yeah yeah that's fine catch you later we're going to skip over the third video since it doesn't contain any links and jump straight to video 4 where Ashley talks about her day at work here's the linked video the audio you heard here is fairly straightforward and easy to figure out here's what it translates to [Applause] [Music] [Applause] ok so now that we're caught up and you guys get the general mechanics of how this channel works it's time to address the guy in the car we saw in the last unlisted clip in the next video Ashley wakes up in the middle of the night to find a car parked right outside of her apartment we have a time jump revealing that the guy in the car leaves after being parked outside of Ashley's apartment for nearly three hours now moving on to the next video where we find Ashley making sick beats until yep baby still crying link okay no link moving on next video sort of an animation esque illustrated vlog where ashley talks crap about her co-worker alex then tells us about several calls to her cell phone she received throughout the day she'd answer and according to her nothing but white noise could be heard from the other end now I know the implication is that the car guy was calling her but damn homegirl really need to stop answering calls from number she doesn't know anyway we have a link this time [Music] god I family [ __ ] we obviously hear Ashlee's voice coming from that laptop we also catch a glimpse of the shadow of whoever's filming in the next video Ashley makes a collaboration announcement but doesn't say who she's supposed to be working with did anyone else catch those glitches they look familiar anyway I know this collab announcement may not seem all that important but keep it in mind because it plays a huge role in how this all plays out later onward to video 9 it doesn't contain any links but it does contain this as you all hopefully recall the audio here is a direct match for the audio in the linked video in the Illustrated story time video [Music] the Pasha's blogging times Funland and oh now keep in mind that video along with a creepy unlisted linked one we're both uploaded on may 31st of 2018 whereas the one that we're looking at currently that has the matching audio was uploaded over two weeks later on June 17 ok so admittedly I haven't been very subtle about this point if you paid attention to the first couple links you probably already pieced this together the idea here is that all of the content on Ash blogs the regular videos and the unlisted ones were all recorded way before the date they were actually uploaded upon first glance you may think that uploading the creepy car guy footage as an obvious link below Ashley's normal videos was just lazy but the actual intention here is to imply that whoever car guy is whoever created the unlisted videos is actually the person running the entire ash vlogs account nothing we see is happening on the timeline that it appears to be on the surface everything uploaded to the ash vlogs channel took place before the account was even created back in April of 2018 this channel features two different perspectives simultaneously Ashley's and car guys this is very much continued in the next video down the line where Ashley does her very first unboxing video here we see Ashley unboxing a new microphone for her vlogs after that she briefly mentions her upcoming collab and not much else takes place but we do have an unlisted link to watch this one is the longest so far so allow me to summarize creepy person with gloves yellow submarine creepy person is wrapping this thing creep places thing in box to be shipped in the mail I wondered to who we're going to skip over the next video since not a lot happens and it doesn't contain any links just know that it features Ashley and Friends performing an acoustic set at a laundromat because reasons next video we have a link before that though this is a short video where Ashley thanks reviewers for the great response to her last upload the link naturally was just a bit more interesting take note of the title an obvious reference to the laundromat song that Ashley is thanking her fans about and also take note of the audio throughout [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] now you guys probably already pick this up but we here claim to fame over and over again a throwback all the way to the link found in the video where the car guy spells out the same message in numbers in the next video we join Ashley on her day off no points for guessing which movie it parodies at the start more exciting news from Ash's world car guys back more exciting news from Ash's world combat is back I don't know if you remember the video I did a while ago with this guy who talks right outside my bedroom window with his lights on in the middle of the night but he's been doing it again and he's done it quite a few times I actually have exclusive footage of his face so if any of you guys know this face here tell him to and then that happens okay should I just watch him from afar I don't really know if I should actually go and hey ask for the link in this video this time it's called true art which is presumably a reference to the art gallery that Ashley and her friends just visited [Applause] in the next video we see Ashley and her friend Alice outside waiting for an uber that actually turns out to be their friend Jordan at the end of the vlog we see Ashley back home after a night out where she discovers a box on her front porch I want to send it take note of the symbol you see here now in this video is unlisted link we see car guy doing car guy things probably driving his way towards Ashley's house the title of this one is our IP one-star another reference to the video it's attached to where Ashley jokingly calls her friend Jordan a bad uber driver at the end of this one we hear a male voice saying the following and now we've finally arrived at the second video I pointed out when we started talking about this remember that good times so Ashley opens the box and reveals that the thing we saw car guy wrapping up is a hard drive she along with her friend plug it in and this happens [Music] well this is a shitty prank I can't get out of it I can't get out of it okay so at this point a song begins to play and I decided not to include that at lest I face the wrath of the copyright gods point is the girls right now are screaming for help as the mystery car man approaches and then the video abruptly ends okay now we're on [ __ ] layer 7 I guess is the layer thing too much anything slow going anyway as I said earlier the entire Ashlock situation is definitely multi-layered and spews out in a ton of different directions all leading back to the actual ash vlogs YouTube page if you've heard of this topic at all before today then you're probably wondering when I was going to bring up raka raka which I think that's how you pronounce that right correct I don't even know for those of you unaware raka raka is an australian-based channel run by a pair of twins with a buttload more subs than I have I think one of them knocked out scarce but I'm out of Lube anyway this is about to get a lot more messy so just bear with me here okay so rack Iraq has involvement with the whole ash vlogs issue came to light when one of the twins came across a creepy fan account of their sister on Instagram back in like July they have several videos about this which I recommend that you watch but for times sake I'll have to summarize the account feature their sister with her eyes closed and also contained a streamable comlink sound familiar that bears a striking similarity to some things we've seen on Ash vlogs of course fans quickly picked up on this and noted a video from three weeks prior to the discovery of the Instagram account where raka raka and crew were reacting to reddit posts one of which was from a Reddit user called I know where she is the comment contained only numbers which at the time didn't faze the group but fans did point out that if you convert the numbers into letters it spells out she's in the floor and this is of course obviously in line with the claim to fame message that we discussed earlier [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so one of the reasons the Asheville log situation is so scattered is because it's got a few different starting point for people some discovered it via raka raka some found the ash vlogs YouTube channel first and work backwards while another group particularly those unread it may have been led into this via the I know where she is reddit account the thing is the comment mentioned in the raka raka video isn't the only thing this reddit user posted before being suspended back in July for those of you wondering the user posted a bunch of different things the most notable being other streamable links that contained media in line with what we saw in the ash logs channel one contained audio that when put through software produced this symbol the same one on the box actually received okay so here's where things get really messy and hard to swallow haha remember that mystery Club Ashly announced but never followed up on well according to raka raka they found Ashley while looking for small creators to work with they gave her a shout out and the option to do a video together but she never showed up so in the rococo upload talking about the situation they figure out that Ashley isn't the person running the ash vlogs account and soon after get a DM from her asking to meet in a park at night because reasons she or whoever sent the DMS in her name requested that only one of them show up alone which of course they didn't do they ended up bringing like 30 people who all ended up staying in the car while homeboy walks into the woods alone at night anyway as he approaches he notices two people standing by a tent they soon leave leaving him free to inspect the tent and this is what he finds everyone gets freaked out they decide to leave and as they're doing so they notice another car which they chased down in an effort to identify who's inside because cliff hangers are great like I said there are a ton more videos covering the situation on the record channel but for times sake I won't be covering every little detail about them instead I'd like to jump over to some questions people have regarding the entire debacle before we get into some possible answers [Applause] [Music] [Applause] okay so obviously this entire thing is really hard to believe and you think that no one would buy its authenticity but raka raka does insist that none of this was fake or a skit they even filmed themselves supposedly trying to create a police report which apparently didn't go anywhere I'm not calling anyone a liar but we know the amount of things that are staged for the sake of views but let's allow them the benefit of the doubt for a second let's say that they weren't making this up the thing is that doesn't prove that any of this is real obviously it is very much possible that whoever is behind the Ash vlogs account and the I know where she is reddit account just baited write correctly into doing this and maybe they went along with it because it made for a good story I mean I don't I can't blame them for that now does this seem likely maybe but what doesn't sit right with a lot of people is the pre-existing relationship between Ash vlogs and raka raka via their shout out slash collaboration of course it just seems too good to be true and as a result does feel heavily staged again this doesn't mean that they're necessarily working together whoever runs Ash vlogs could just be using record for publicity I can't speak for everyone but it does happen all the time with me people email me with something creepy in an attempt to get me to cover it while not explicitly stating that they're the ones behind it alright so the question on everyone's mind especially after that last Ash blogs upload where is Ashley or rather is she even still alive the ash Vox channel was very very well done on its own but I'll personally admit that for me the Iraq Iraqi stuff did tend to break my immersion a bit because a lot of it is just too over the top whether or not they're all working together is unclear but what I do know is that the girl known as Ashley in the vlogs is okay and definitely not hurt in fact she's an Australian actress that's played a few small roles in film TV and music videos you can actually find her talent profile online along with a list of credits to her name one of her more recent roles was a small part in a 20-17 horror thriller called rabbit that I haven't seen yet but I really want to now not saying at all that the two projects are connected the timelines don't line up so that would make sense but given that Ashley was open to working on such a film it's not all that hard to believe that she'd be willing to do something similar online so as for who the actual mastermind of all this is that so far is unknown just can't be confirmed until someone steps forward all right so we've established that the whole Ashe vlogs thing is pure fiction so let's focus on the fictional narrative allow me to repeat myself I said let's focus on the fictional narrative I'm not saying that any of this is real I'm saying that we should also address the in universe questions since we already took the time to pull this apart I know that I'm still going to get angry comments asking why I believe this is real despite everything I just said anyway so within the not real Asch vlogs universe we're still life wondering what exactly happens after this where is Ashley is her friend gone as well who exactly is car guys supposed to be is he someone Ashley knows or is he a complete stranger is he working alone it's car guy a girl that that last part was a joke and personally I'd really like to know if Katie the neighbor with the baby is actually going to play a bigger role in this or if she was only placed in the story as sort of red herring anyway I'll be glad to revisit the story if more interesting updates surface but until then tweet at
