you are shall grow you start to think you did a good job and in one night you look away hi how're you guys doing good I'm doing well I want to say you guys are so courageous and so brave for this film I saw it in two parts the first half I cried my eyes out and the second half I cried my eyes out I'm not gonna cry now but mr. Jerome yes mr. Jerome those scenes were not easy to watch and I just had to remind myself that you only portrayed something that mr. wise lived so we're gonna start you according to reports Korey wise wasn't even on the list he kind of just went when you said just off the strength like this is my friends this is my mans I gotta go has that made you think twice about loyalty Wow no I think the type of Korey / the type of person Korey is he was that he was all lawyer he was friendship he was family he was blood that's what it's like growing up in Harlem that's what it's like growing up in the Bronx Brooklyn in New York in general it is that I'm doing this for you you're my brother we're gonna do this together Cory had no idea he wasn't gonna step back into that block in Harlem he didn't know that once he left that block he wouldn't be back for the next 12 years and so I do question myself like what I have done that for my friend and I guess I would say yes just hoping for the best and not even expecting the worst but that that's my naivety there and doing this show definitely not a lot of that out but to question loyalty no because that's who Corey wise is and I think he made it through because of who he is his strength his loyalty is his loyalty to himself I'm speaking on that meeting use of inquiry and seeing how they interact and I speaking there was a moment where it was me so I think we're all speaking on that moment where Corey decided to go with Yusuf and he stands by that decision by he was like you are you are like it's because you're my friend like man I was good like I had to look I had to look after you he's like that's a decision he stands by despite everything that happened so yeah it's that that is that's who Cory was this yeah Antron McCray recently did an interview in which she said the last time I lied I got seven and a half years for something I didn't do how has your perspective changed when it comes to honesty do you put more weight on it do you now look at it from a certain vantage point what do you guys feel when about honesty I feel like I mean especially aunt Charlie he stuck to his truth I mean unfortunately his his father and the police made him made him made him say made him lie they made him lie and unfortunately the the consequences of that was eventually him going to prison and and I just feel like like I don't know I just I feel like that honesty is so important and that especially for him in his life that that I said this earlier that he sticks he sticks by that set he sticks his faith is based on the truth is gonna come out the truth is gonna come out and his faith it's based on that and I feel like I feel like the truth and honesty just means so much to him and it's been such a large part of his life because that is that is what kept him going it's the truth that he knows that that he's innocent and that he knows that that he didn't do this and I feel like that's what kept even all of these men I just got the wrap-it-up sign but I'm gonna ignore it how do you guys feel about the words innocent and guilty I think they're completely subjective I think they change depending on who we're talking about so when we're talking about kids of color it's like those two words mean wildly different things then when we're talking about anybody else I think who gets to be innocent who gets to be guilty is is is really frustrating depending on you're talking about it's like what comes first what's your first thought innocence you're guilty you look at Emma I thought guilty first you look at him I thought innocent first yeah when they see us they see guilty but we're we're striving for that day that when they see us though she is who we are rather than what they their bias is telling guilty just it it doesn't it doesn't your innocence of guilty when you're black and brown it it's not based on your actions it's it's based on the really the color of your skin and that's what needs to change and that is that that viewpoint it needs to be completely just thrown away
