[Music] you [Music] we were fortunate to have access to videotapes at that time of males that needed to be placed and kunkka would watch them and what she ended up doing was kind of thumbs up thumbs down if she liked a gorilla she would stare at the screen she would ask for us to play it again and again and if she had access to the screen she kissed the screen first time love have you been looking at their gorillas really Coco love looking oh my goodness the big kiss so the one that was at the top of the list was a male alone in the roam soo but even after some negotiations he was not available they would not send him to her her second choice wasn't do me and he was then at the Brookfield Zoo he was smaller than Coco and I think that was important when he came for her to feel comfortable with him typically when you introduce gorillas in it in a new setting you're very cautious first they just see each other then there's mesh in between and they can actually smell and touch each other and then you wait longer and see if the signs are right to put them together well as soon as the new mate came out into the yard and there was only matched between them she instantly said a couple of open they're open hurt what do you want do that open nice that really good okay I need to open this just what you mean Coco love hurry good hurry have nice look you're going to be next Coco love good okay I'm going to be nice huh so we opened the gate and she ran in and chased him around but I had no fear of him whatsoever wanted to get close to him and see what he was like and he was frightened they coexist very nice thing at this point but there is still no bond no mating bond one of the reasons that Coco may not have formed a mating relationship in the doom it could be the environment we're in we have to deal with bad weather so that there are many days they can't be together they interact outside mostly we have to deal with chainsaws and motorcycles in other words this is not the ideal setting for her to relax and forma made a comfortable relationship with him [Music]
