what's in my work bag? | 2024 work essentials

[Music] hi everyone welcome back or welcome to my channel if you're new here my name is Emma today's video is going to be a what's in my work bag I love these videos I'm so nosy I feel like this type of video has made a Resurgence lately on Tik Tok everyone showing what's in their purse it also reminds me of the good old YouTube days when everyone did what's in my purse what's in my backpack for school I'm personally no longer in school so I can't film that type of video any longer hopefully I'll go back to school soon though fingers crossed but I do work a 9 to-5 office job I'm required to be in the office 2 days a week I work in downtown Boston and the two days that I go into the office this is the bag that I carry in sometimes I'll transfer all of this stuff to a backpack if I need to bring additional materials to work sometimes I like to bring my iPad to work or I have an event after work that I need different clothes for for the most part I do use this tote bag but sometimes like I said if I need to bring additional things with me to work I will transfer all of this to a backpack because at the end of the day this is still a tote bag so I don't want it to be too too heavy on my shoulder but generally this is the tote bag that I use sometimes I also travel to conferences out of the state we go to DC San Diego Chicago other major cities for work as well those are very rare trips you know they're like once a year but I do travel for work as well and this is the tote bag that I bring with me and it just fits a lot of stuff it's a great bag I love it it's the coach monogram zippered tote bag I'll put the link to this bag down below I actually got this as a high school graduation gift I believe I got it so long ago so this is what the bag looks like I love how structured it is I used to use the long shamp Le Plage tote bag and I love that bag but it has like no shape to it so I feel like all of my stuff was always just sinking to the bottom of the bag there weren't a lot of pockets there was no like internal organization so I love this bag because it's structured it has different compartments and Pockets I love the black leather strap and the monogram first off of course I have my work laptop I actually just got a new work laptop these are you know issued to us by Our IT department so I didn't buy this or anything I really don't know much about the details of this laptop other than the fact that it is a Dell Latitude that's pretty much it I'm definitely an Apple Girly but I do really like this computer it reminds me a lot of a Mac if that makes sense I feel like the display the keys everything like that is very reminiscent of a Macbook computer I have grown up using Macs I got my first Mac laptop when I was like 13 or 14 I'm not super used to using pc windows products but I do really like this Dell computer and honestly it doesn't really matter because my work gave this to me so this is what I have to use but like I said I recently did switch to this laptop I had a different one before it was very old and clunky and it just didn't work that well so I'm really enjoying this new one it's very Sleek as you can see it's thinner it's smaller than my old one so I have been enjoying using this and this does fit very nicely you can just slide it in so I think this is around a 13 in like widthwise my last one was like 15 in or something like that so I really like this computer comp I do have a charger for this at my office so I don't need to bring the charger back and forth from my house I have monitors at work I have an external mouse keyboard all of that so I just have to bring like the base like the laptop to work but the rest of that equipment is already at my office so thankfully I don't have to bring it back and forth I have my planner in here as well I don't bring this to work every single time just because I don't need to use it every single day but on most days I will bring this with me back and forth because I I do write both personal and work things in here this planner is mostly personal like I don't write any work assignments per se in here I don't really write meetings in here at my office I have notebooks a calendar things like that but sometimes like I said I do have to travel for work and I still need to know what my personal schedule is when I'm committing to things at work say I have a vacation or a day off because I have to travel for work sometimes it is helpful to know when I have personal appointments personal vacation so again I don't bring this to work every single day but I do like to bring it some days just to keep myself and my whole life organized I also like to bring a book to work with me I am definitely a physical book girly I feel like I would do so well with a Kindle but I've just been so anti- Kindle even when I was a teenager I just love the feeling of a physical book I have about a 45 to 50 minute commute into work and then again back home so during that time you know I'm on a train so I don't always have like celf service and things like that and honestly that early in the morning I don't want to be scrolling on Tik Tok or Instagram I would honestly rather Focus my attention on a book and just sort of Escape for a few minutes it also makes the commute time go by that much faster because I'm just you know reading and listening to music and before I know it I'm already at my train stop and at work so I really enjoy reading so I like to use that time to get some reading done I feel like it's a more productive use of my time rather than sitting and scrolling on my phone so so right now this is the book that I'm reading this is a court of frost and starlight by Sarah J moss I think this is the fourth book in the court series if you are into kind of like fantasy Dark Fantasy romance that type of thing this is a really great series I highly recommend it like I said the reason that I love this bag is because it has multiple compartments it has this zipper compartment in the back it has a few other ones in the front and then the main compartment is very deep so it definitely fits a lot so I'm going to go into the compartments real quick right now I obviously have my wallet this is just a Louis Vuitton little like wallet on a chain so I have all my cards in there my keys keychain my gym card all of that I also of course have my headphones these are the apple airpods and I love these I am allowed to use these at work as well so again on my commute I'll listen to music and read at work I'll listen to music at a very low volume of course I usually only put one airpod in but I just I can't work in like office silence I just can't do it it just helps me Focus so we are allowed to like listen to music or podcast or whatever as long as it's not like distracting to my work so I do use these of course all the time every day all day so those are nice to have as well I also have my phone charger I do realize I could keep a charger at work I do have an actual office with like drawers my office blocks everything like that but one time I left my phone charger at work not like blaming anyone or anything but we do have a cleaning staff that comes in late at night like after hours when the building's empty and I don't know I'm not saying like they stole it or something like that but I left it there one day and I went back the next day and my charger was gone I usually like put it in a drawer but I must have left it out and maybe they messed it up while they were cleaning or maybe one of them accidentally took it or maybe they just stole it I don't know I don't like to like blame people when I misplace things but yeah it was gone so after that I was like you know what I'm just going to start bringing my charger back and forth I do have one in my room and then I have one that I keep in this bag and I just bring it back and forth with me these are some other little things that I keep in the pockets I have some cash obviously I have my cards and stuff but you know never hurts to have some extra backup cash on you I also have a hand Sani izer this is the touch land power Mist hand sanitizer I have these in so many different flavors and scents I love this one I also just have a little claw clip I really don't use these that often but sometimes it's helpful just to have this if I want to throw out my hair at work and I also just carry a pen with me again just in case we're in transit we have to go somewhere and I need a pen I have my planner I can write notes in there it never hurts to have an extra pen especially at work and last but not least of course we have have my makeup toilet Tre Beauty bag whatever you want to call it I use all of these things basically on an everyday basis so these are my kind of beauty Essentials again if I do have an event after work sometimes I'll bring another little makeup bag that has like powder blush highlight stuff like that for me to touch up I also did want to mention that at my office I do keep a brush a comb a lint roller a toothbrush toothpaste and some floss so I do have all of those things that I just keep at the office so I don't have to transport them back and forth I literally bought them at a CVS Downtown and they just stay in my drawer you know in case I need to brush my teeth after lunch or my hair gets ruined or something and I need to brush it I have all of that I also have a sewing kit just in case a button pops or I don't know someone might need a sewing kit but these are my other Essentials so first off we have some Band-Aids very necessary especially if I get blisters or anything like that or I get a cut I don't know I think there's a first aid kit at work obviously too but it is nice to have some Band-Aids I'm just going to run through these things very quickly because they're nothing revolutionary but there's a lot of stuff in here so I want to get through it I have a few mints I have a hair tie I think I have a few of these in here as well I have about a million of these Road lip glosses I'm sure I don't need every single one of these but I have so many I actually have other lip glosses as well I have this e.l.f one Dior this is embarrassing why do I need all of these I surely don't need every single one of these lip glosses but I have like 13 in here or something like that I mean granted I do wear makeup to work so sometimes I like to use different lip glosses and I never want to be caught without one but like seriously I don't need all of these anyways I have all of those lip glosses house Labs rare Beauty Road Dior whatever else moving on I have a tide stick just in case spill something on myself I have a few tampons I have this little travel size of the Charlotte Tilbury face powder and a little Powder Puff as well just to touch up with okay I have three powder Puffs in here surely I don't need all of those so I'm going to take some of those out I only need one I do have some hand cream this is from nere this is like a little travel size as well I do also have a full thing of lotion at work just in case I forget to apply at home but I do have a little hand cream and I have have some more of the slip Silk hair ties I have some nail glue more often than not I do have false nails on so very important to have some nail glue I have two travel size perfumes this one's like almost out so maybe I'll just throw it away but this is cloud by Ariana Grande and this one is cloud pink I actually just bought this one to replace this one I have the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk medium 2 lip liner I have some medicine I have some benad dril I do have a really intense allergy to peanuts and tree nuts so very important that I always have vadil on me I have Claritin for like seasonal allergies and then I do have some ibuprofen again I think there's a couple different types of medicine at work aspirin and things like that but it's always nice to have my own as well I have a bunch of loose pieces of gum and some more mints and yet again another lip gloss so those are all of My Essentials some medicine lotion perfume side stick gum mints tampons all of that I seriously don't need all these lip products I don't know why I have so many in here but I honestly do use them all so you know it just depends so it never hurts to have this many lip glosses and honestly it all fits in here so I feel like what's the harm okay all right you guys that is everything that's in my work toe bag I really hope you guys enjoyed this video kind of old school YouTube if you want me to
