the question i get asked the most is what type of clay do you use oil-based clay also called non-dry mottling clay or plasticine or plastolena it won't dry out over time which makes it great for using and reusing unfortunately you can't make a finished sculpture in this material so if you want to make it permanent you have to make a mold and cast it in another material like resin or plaster this is the type of clay that i will be using throughout the course the clay i like to use is called chavant nsp medium clay siobhan nsp medium clay is high quality it doesn't dry out which makes it reusable it's highly versatile it doesn't contain sulfur which makes it ideal for mold making it softens with heat and is great for beginners as well as professional sculptors and i'll see you in the next video
