What to do if your Tesla runs out of juice

we are at IKEA in Oslo and I heard purposely run Optimus Prime down to red now and the purpose of this video is to drive it down to zero and show you what happens and also to show you what you have to do to recover and well I mean we are trying to do this and in the most control way and as safe as possible so I have power here my friend yeah he will help me we're going to drive around the parking lot in at IKEA and it is closed now and there's no one here and yeah so I will drive optimist until it stops and then Pavel will told me to - yes that's good it's over the first one here yeah I think the cable is long enough yeah so what you want to do is the juicer so you can yeah all right then okay to do this click thingy which means yeah well you shouldn't mess around too long because the 12 volt battery is not being short right now and a 12 volt battery keeps everything running like you know liftgate doors charge port or whatever so don't mess around too long and then in the end you might run out of 12 volt and then you have more problems because then if you run out the 12 volt you have to open this one I'm going to show you here and then open this one and then you have the 12 volt and you can charge two 12 volt here but fortunately we're not gonna mess it on too long so we will just plug in and see if it charges all right you know I only have a short cable 4 meter cable and we barely fit it in here so now what we have to do is to start charging hopefully it will start charging so flug starting you know is it do I mean this is the the green or green so this is the only solution once you stop you have to charge it up there is no way you can revive the car you there's no point to call Tesla well you can call it a Saab they can try to help you with the flatbed but what you want to do is charge it up they cannot revive it for you once if it has died then it dies and now let me show you how it looks like in here oh okay so it is starting to charge so we have to let it charge up a bit before we attempt to go to wherever yeah yeah so at this point it is safe and by the way huh interesting it's not charging at the maximal speed if we switch here setting to their language and unit and the energy I also seen this at the supercharger you see it only charges that two kilowatt for some reason and that could be because the battery is so like deeply discharged so um it it will like gradually increase so just give it like five ten minutes and then it will go to normal jobs trotting speed all right this is well at the moment his name is Rudolph so there's a red nose and also some horns yes but all right you know so what I've shown you here is what happens when you run out but you should try to avoid running out if you see that you know earlier in the trip you will see if you make it or not man and if you see that you cut it close take a detour stop at a fast charger type tree whatever just juice up fall I say ten extra minutes then you might you know save time because once you stop like now it's cumbersome you know you waste half an hour or trying to recover and if in the disaster is is a fact then I would say try to get at all like we did here it's pretty fast to just hook it there and then get told of course you have to have the equipment there like the tow rope and everything but in most countries you know people have tow bars and they can help you and of course the forces will laugh at you but yeah if you wait for the tow truck I mean or or the flatbed it will take long it can take like 1 2 hours you know and they also usually charge you for money what depends if it's covered by tests or not but try to solve it yourself that's my my advice or even better than this charge in time will slow down in time yeah all right but I by the way are so what I've shown you here I draw a draw this Optimus Prime down this year but this will be the first and only time I go that low yeah from now on I will just stay higher than that so this was just to show you guys what happens when you run out yeah all right so I think that's it power thank you so much for your hammer and you also came out here in the middle of the night so yes thank you very much and I guess talk to you guys later yeah Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
