What Needs to Happen in Creed IV - Analysis/Theory

Creed 3 has a few different loose ends that could make Creed IV an excellent film previously before Creed 3's release Michael B Jordan confirmed that Creed 4 would definitely be happening and given success of the film I would have to agree there is also a Creed anime in the works which is very interesting though makes sense given the influences of Creed III so I think it's safe to say that the Rocky Creek Universe has a bright future that being said here is what needs to happen in Creed 4. foreign the first thing I would like to see happen is a proper timeline retcon now this is something that is minor though given some of the events that occur in Crete 3 it does create some confusion for example it states that the rematch between Adonis Creed and Ricky conlon takes place in 2017 15 years after the arrest of Dame Anderson Todd Grisham states that this is Donny's last fight so we know it's supposed to take place after the second fight between Adonis and Victor Drago however in the first Creed film we see that the present day events occur in 2015 and adonis's fight with Danny wheeler for the championship belt takes place in 2018. buddy Marcel confirms this during the press conference on TV by saying Creed fought him three years too late anyway we also know the two Drago fights take place before the rematch with Conlin as Adonis is challenged for his title by the Drago Camp not long after winning it and when Adonis defeats Ricky he's retiring as the Undisputed heavyweight champion of the world these timeline errors also make it difficult to determine the age of a few of the characters including Adonis and Amara if they don't fix these it's not the end of the world as even the original Rocky films have some of the same problems we know that the end of the first Rocky film takes place on January 1st 1976 while the rematch Rocky has with Apollo takes place in November of that year Rocky 3 and onward is where the timeline starts getting tricky as when Mickey is talking to Rocky about stepping down as his trainer after the press conference he tells Rocky that three years ago you were Supernatural which applies that the year Rocky 3 takes place is 1979 if he's talking about Rocky's second fight with Apollo which he briefly mentioned before saying this saying that Apollo nearly killed Rocky however after Mickey's funeral it shows the date of his death is August 15 1981 which means Rocky has been championed for nearly five years unless Mickey was talking about his early title defenses to make matters even more confusing Rocky 5 states that Mickey World Rocky Jr the gym in 1982 and don't get me started on Rocky Jr suddenly becoming a teenager after Rocky's fight with drag so maybe it's a tradition they're keeping up with on confusing timelines but who knows it'd be nice for some clarity on this the second plot point I would like to see addressed and one that surely needs to happen is the championship title situation what happens now that Adonis has the championship belt he's beaten everyone in what I would call Revenge matches he's beaten Conlin wheeler Dame and Drago admittedly Adonis fighting Dane for the championship was one of the puzzling plot points of the film I can see why they did it Dane felt like he was cheated out of the life that Adonis has when he went to prison and him winning the title from Felix with dirty tactics at least was a nice dark parallel to Rocky fighting Apollo for the title it also made the stakes that much higher especially when Dame threatened Donnie that he was coming for everything however that also leaves a weird situation where Adonis who is no longer in his prime now has the title now the title has to come off of Adonis in a credible but realistic way given his circumstances as a fighter little Duke makes it clear that Adonis is old and is not who it used to be despite the fight being evenly matched between Adonis and Dame in a similar manner to Rocky Balboa focusing on his strength when training for his match with Mason Dixon imagine if Rocky had won the title then how do you get the belt off of him if he's beaten the best I think Felix Chavez is either the answer or the other part of this puzzle I could see him challenging Adonis for the title and if done right they could set up Felix to be a formidable opponent for Adonis to face and to pass the torch to one of the main problems that I could see why Felix didn't seem formidable is because he was way smaller than Dame Anderson if I'm not mistaken Jose Benavides Jr even put on weight for the role but in real life the heaviest division Benavides fought in was light middleweight yet we were supposed to believe he was the unified heavyweight champion of the world with a record of 15-1 now in terms of skill and speed Felix still took it to Dame going so far as to knock one of his teeth out and cause Dame damage but Anderson had him beat on power perhaps Creed 4 will have Felix and Drago fight as they were supposed to which would be interesting to see but it may end up the same as it did with Felix vs Dame though minus the cheating a third potential plot point we could see is depending on when Creed 4 takes place would be the start of Amara's boxing career Creed 3 did a nice job with a couple of scenes showing that Amara has both her father's potential and temper and begins to learn how to box to defend herself I believe I mentioned in a previous video that there is a comic book coming out sometime this month by boom Studios where it focuses on a Mars boxing career and the storyline is set 10 years after Creed 3. the focus of the story is somewhat of a reversal of the first Creed film where instead of Adonis starting underground and then going pro Amara no longer finds a challenge in her Division and instead begins to fight underground another reason that this could be an interesting storyline is that there may be some real life inspiration if they went down this route Mario dagada and apologies if I mispronounced that he was the first and only deaf world champion in boxing and was a lineal European and Italian bantamweight champion the childhood between Mario and Amara is similar as Mario himself was bullied for his disabilities and took up street fighting shows equality he would become an amateur boxer winning 90 out of 110 fights and eventually become professional with a record of 54 wins 10 losses and 3 draws it would be interesting to see the perspective of a fight from a Mars point of view and hopefully a storyline we could see in Crete 4. the fourth and perhaps one of the story lines I feel like everyone would love to see is Dame Anderson versus Victor Drago this match would be the closest thing we would get to a clever Lang versus Ivan Drago match and would be one of the best stream matches to come to life from a story standpoint it makes sense that this would occur as dangerous as possible for costing Victorious chance at the title which presumably may have been the only other chance he's ever had since fighting Adonis and given Dame's change of character at the end of Creed 3 I can't see why he wouldn't agree to this given Victor's character growth as well from Creed 2 to Creed 3 this would also be another interesting dynamic between the two Victor could be fueled by revenge and Unleash the Beast on Dame or he could fight in a more common focused Manner and the two could have a conversation afterward on how they both redeem themselves and are working towards being better kind of similar to Johnny Lawrence and chosen taguchi and Cobra Kai this storyline cannot be passed up for any reason given how well-received both Damon Victor are as characters and I hope we see this moment in Creed 4. last but certainly not least we need to see The Return of Rocky Balboa I think I've talked about this enough in previous videos on why he wasn't in Creed 3 but since the film's release he has talked about returning to Creed 4 as long as Erwin Winkler is not involved and if he got back the rights to the franchise I don't know if it would be necessary for him to return as it seemed his story wrapped up in Crete 2 and let's be honest at some point Rocky's story would have needed to be wrapped up anyway but I think if we were more of a minor role but still appearing here and there it could work I'm not saying that Rocky would need to be written off like Mickey Apollo or even Adrian but perhaps more of an indicator finality to Rocky having fought all other demons in the basement and is now happy with his life being a grandpa to Logan and living with Robert with that being said I think there's a lot of potential for the Rocky and Creed Universe perhaps they could even approach it as Cobra Kai did with the Karate Kid films and make a series out of it as Cobra Kai essentially made each season a Five Hour film given the fact that there is a Creed anime in the works this could be the format they choose to expand the universe only time will tell what Creed 4 will consist of and for now we can only speculate let me know what you guys think down below what do you want to see happen in Crete 4 if you enjoy the
