What languages do people in the UK speak?

I've looked a bit fluid and then the other line was just boring in it only not knowing what language I do want to travel like quite a bit it is nice to kind of respect the culture that you go and visit most people in the UK only speak English around two-thirds in fact but a recent survey by the British Council has found one in four people actually regret never learning another language so what languages can you speak I speak a bit of Japanese I went to live in Japan and I eventually married a Japanese lady yeah I speak Somali my mother make sure I spoke Somalia at home when I was born I speak Patra and a bit of Punjabi as well okay fantastic how about yourself I'd love to be fluent and then the Overland was just boring in it only not knowing what language like everyone knows more than one Sam would like to like improve my Spanish in the future because I'm not using it too frequently since I'm in the UK and also I'm a little bit interested in German as well as an additional language I do want to travel like quite a bit like it is very Multicultural you know there's a lot of different languages being spoken the UK seems like a country that's open to learning new languages so according to our survey what languages do people want to learn the course of respondents shows Spanish making it the most popular that was closely followed by French then Italian then German and then Japanese when asked what languages people felt were most important for them to learn French came out on top followed by Spanish and then German the biggest appetite for language learning was amongst 18 to 24 year olds but how can we get these younger people learning languages for young people are still in school it would be great for them to really consider taking a language as one of their options for young people out of school there are still options to pick up some language through using an app through going to evening classes it's important that young people can have no something of another language and that also enables them to develop other Intercultural skills there are lots of great benefits to language learning [Music]
