What It's Like Owning a Great Pyrenees

[Music] oh oh oh my oh my coop i regret to inform you that this episode is not about you oh look he he can kiss you too do you like that it's all about coda today so koda is koda is a great pyrenees or a pyrenees mountain dog originally bred in france and spain as herding dogs up in the mountains even though they were bred to herd all of these animals and keep them safe and be vicious towards mean things like a coyote they're super super gentle with their humans and they're also very protective of their humans especially when you're getting attacked by like a mountain biker as you guys know we live in florida and koda lives inside the house so he's never even seen a coyote but today we are going to tell you guys all about what it's like to live with a great pyrenees or really any super large breed dog the number one rule of a great pyrenees is you have to bark at everything whether it's the mailman food delivery someone opening their car door four doors down a leaf falling on the ground it needs to know its place [Laughter] are you good [Music] so i ordered a coffee it's about to arrive this is what it looks like when someone comes to our door and we are all in mortal peril part two laziness as you can see it's in full effect right now thank goodness my leg is here to hold up his head [Music] gross as you guys can see long walks are not really his favorite thing he loves walks just really really short ones at least he picked about the most beautiful spot he could to do that he gallops like a horse but he's not he's not moving dakota come on coda dakota come on dakota it won't even look at me he's done we'll actually get into this later on in the video he tends to be very stubborn chels give him a tug see if he gets up like a real tug like a kota khmer tug dakota come on sometimes you have to ask yourself is it laziness or is it efficiency i mean the guy doesn't even really lift his leg when he goes to the bathroom no okay good now are we good he wants a uh living with a golden retriever video we'll have to do that sometime soon as you guys can see it is a vastly different experience most of his days are spent lounging around because he's so busy at night guarding our house [Music] do [Music] but to be honest with you guys sometimes he falls asleep during the day and wakes up barking because he's afraid he missed something you wouldn't do that coda um coda you're in the shot could you just good job good boy now another thing you need to know about any great pyrenees or large breed dog is they are extremely handsy they want to be pet pansy they want to go outside pansy they're having too much fun they accidentally give you a black eye oh sure let me just let me just pet you hey i dare you i i dare you to blow on his nose [Music] i've never met a dog that throws his paws around like coda does like literally if you if you pet him and he's enjoying it and then you stop it wasn't me that was a little bit more mouthy but oftentimes he'll he'll swat at your hand to get you to pet him more good boy you gonna do it right now you're not gonna do it [Laughter] you gotta watch these big ol meaty paws dude [Music] all right sit up come on sit up get up dakota get up come on we need you sitting dakota come on you can hear me is he plugging his ears come on get up get up hey get up come on dang it there it is all right there it is as you guys can see large breed dogs like the pyrenees are also independent to the point of being stubborn here's another clip from this morning when koda was not done just being outside come on dakota come he's decided that he just wants to enjoy the outdoors right now i guess dakota come dakota come dakota come here come on good boy come here or not they really only want to do what they want to do it's not just commands either for example if he wants to lay somewhere he's going to do it are you serious [Music] okay so even though he's a little weird the barking is a little annoying the stubbornness is kind of hard to deal with and the laziness is the situation on its own he's also the biggest cuddle bug we have ever had and he gives us a lot of great [Music] moments [Music] [Applause] do [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] let us know down below what your favorite coda moment is and give this video a thumbs up if you think trevor should get me another mountain dog puppy we'll see you guys next week [Music] the difference of the amount of physical effort they're both putting into this game is just
