In chapter 3 of Poppy Playtime, we learned in depth about several mysteries and secrets surrounding the abandoned toy factory. We learned about the enigmatic and dark events that created the morbid creatures that haunt us during the 3 chapters of this franchise. And we have known several tragic events within its chronology. But there was no more tragic and decisive event for the history of Poppy Playtime than the one that occurred on August 8, 1995, or also known... as The Hour of Joy. I know that after watching the end of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, many must have doubts about what exactly happened that day, and we are going to explain that to you in today's video. Good morning, afternoon, or evening... Let's get started. First of all, we must understand what was happening inside the Playtime factory, before August 8, 1995. To give you a fairly short summary of the events at Poppy Playtime, starting in 1991 thanks to the work of a very important: Harley Sawyer, is that an Initiative known as 'The Large Bodies Initiative' begins . And Playtime Co had already been working on experiments before 1991, and one of those was probably Poppy Playtime (that is, the doll that accompanies us), as well as experiment 1006. But neither of these two directly qualifies as a 'Body'. Big', even though Experiment 1006 technically was. Because in the large bodies initiative, monsters that were created specifically to fill a role within the factory are considered within this group. Since by 1991, the Playtime factory was going through a very serious financial situation, employees who were not going to work, work incidents, people watching experiments that had nothing to do with it, and more shady things... This caused Harley Sawyer to decide in March 1991 begin this initiative to create these monsters that would serve as part of the factory's workforce. This being the case, how monsters like: Boxy Boo (the first of the big bodies, in fact) would be born; Hugo Alberto, Kissy Missy, Bunzo Bunny, PJ-Pugapillar, among others. Curiously, Mommy Long Legs was first created as an experiment, and thanks to her success and popularity as a Game Station character, Playtime Co decided to launch her toy version on the market. Not satisfied with this, the Smiling Critters would emerge, but before their release, Playtime Co was already working on monstrous versions of some of their characters, which is how Catnap and Dogday would be born. It is also known that at some point there were monstrous versions of the other Smiling Critters, but that will be a topic for another video. The point here is that these monsters that Playtime Co had designed were curiously docile and easy to control to give them orders and send them to forced work in the factory without any type of pay. Feeding them meat, since all monsters had a peculiar appetite for meat... However, as you can imagine, to create these monstrosities it was necessary for Playtime Co to use nothing more and nothing less than children. So yes, the reason why monsters like Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, or Kissy Missy, are so docile and apt to be obedient, is that all of these were once CHILDREN who lived inside Playcare. Place that we visited in chapter 3, and why in one scene we can see Kissy Missy, looking directly at an image of her from when she was a girl... All of these experiments were created from children, so it would not be It is surprising that some of these had some resentment towards the scientists who turned them into these monstrosities. But, as children, they were particularly obedient, even if their hunger or desire to eat meat became stronger and stronger. They needed that spark, and they needed someone who could help them break free. As we already said before, Experiment 1006 or The Prototype, which we have to talk about in another video in more depth, is a particularly VERY intelligent experiment. He was able to do things that the other experiments could not do, such as defying his creators and being very clever and skilled, copying and imitating part of the abilities of the characters that Playtime Co. had created. And not satisfied with this, he had the ability to imitate voices almost perfectly. He was honestly a killing machine, since his great intelligence and little docility allowed him to easily become violent against anyone who stood in his way. Harley Sawyer knew of the tremendous potential hidden in 1006, but he liked to torture it and experiment with it to learn more about its secret with immeasurable value, since unlike the others, The Prototype did not present the need to eat or feed itself, or even to sleep. Which naturally led to 1006 and Harley Sawyer having a deep conversation... Here we discovered not only that 1006 was absolutely not afraid of Harley Sawyer or his scientists, but that he was even plotting something bigger. He wanted to free all the experiments, in revenge for what Harley and the other scientists had done to absolutely each and every one of them, so one day, The Prototype managed to free himself from his cell to begin his plan, and This would not go completely unnoticed, since that same March 1991, an employee of Playtime Co: Brickley Brands came to realize that Experiment 1006 was hanging around the factory and reported it to Leith Pierre, the CEO of the company. for this moment; which would obviously activate internal alarms within the factory. But even though 1006 was very powerful, he couldn't do it alone. He was very capable, there is no doubt about that, but in a war a soldier cannot wipe out an entire army, having many workers, security personnel, an internal workforce, and even if he managed to win against everything, he was always the possibility of being contained again: so 1006 came up with a plan. And that's where Theodore Grambell comes in. Theodore Grambell or also known as Theo, has already been mentioned in a video on this channel explaining his origin. So if you want to know more about the history of Catnap, the video will be here so you can see it. The point is that Theo was a very lonely child within Playtime Co, so Experiment 1006 saw in him an opportunity to manipulate him. Having already achieved the possibility of having freed himself from the yoke of the scientists, and being able to sneak through many underground areas of Playtime Co, from ducts, pipes, train systems, secret tunnels, among other things. 1006 came to contact Theodore Grambell, in order to pose as his imaginary friend, and thus begin his evil plan. 1006 would order Theodore to sabotage some things and steal others within Playtime Co; one of these was a GrabPack with a green hand. And if you remember, these GrabPacks have the ability to transmit electricity, and of course, be very dangerous. As Theo was just a child of about 7 years old, the poor guy ended up electrocuting himself, and almost dying in the attempt... Of course, he was quickly assisted by the Playtime Co staff, but 1006 took this opportunity to (in quotes) 'sacrifice' his freedom in order to have scientists save his life, in exchange for being contained again and later used as experimental material. Theodore somehow managed to realize the heroic act of his 'imaginary friend', and from that moment on he began to see Experiment 1006 or the Prototype as a kind of superhero or a God for what he did. Of course, Playtime Co took advantage of this opportunity to create Catnap using the child's body and mind. The purple cat that spits red smoke was made thanks to Theo. However, although Theodore came to be indoctrinated once again and educated to be docile like the other experiments; He always held a deeper resentment towards employees in general, and towards scientists, and was even constantly rebellious. This was like this for 4 consecutive years, because Theo, in his mind, had developed the idea that 1006 did all that to save his life, but that the 'evil scientists of Playtime Co' had captured him and put both of them in cells. . For this reason, in the VHS of Catnap that we see in chapter 3, Leith Pierre tells Catnap to get used to his new life, since they had already passed 4 years and the boy kept insisting that 'The Prototype Will Save Us All'. Of course, everyone in the factory believed that Catnap was simply particularly disobedient and didn't fit in well with the other monstrous 'Smiling Critters' within the factory. But what they did not suspect is that there was a deeper plan in the actions of 1006 and Catnap. Well, as Catnap saw The Prototype as a kind of deity, he would of course follow all his orders and subject those who decided to reveal themselves to him. This is how the cult of The Prototype arose. What we have been able to see throughout the chapters, from the death screens, to the messages written on the walls... All this would be useful to 1006 to begin... All this that I told you was a master plan of Experiment 1006 , using his great intelligence to manipulate Catnap and thus have a loyal follower. Someone he could use to convince the other monsters to break free from their chains and be free one day forever. This being how Catnap would convince the other monsters, from Mommy Long Legs, Hugo Alberto, Boxy Boo, the Delight sisters, the Smiling Critters, and even Kissy Missy to attack and kill absolutely everyone within the Playtime Co. So On a quiet day in 1995, specifically August 8, Catnap and Experiment 1006 would take advantage of the fact that that would be the busiest day within Playtime Co. At 11 in the morning, an hour quite full of employees and workers, the doors of the local would close forever. All the employees would be trapped, and that's where the feast would begin. A masquerade in which all the monsters would begin to attack, eat and kill absolutely everyone inside the factory. It doesn't matter if they were guilty, innocent, or even people who were visiting the place; everyone would pay for their crimes, and the monsters would manage to take the factory by force and kill absolutely anyone who opposed their savior... 1006. Poppy, explains to us that she never agreed with this massacre, and that she was locked in her glass box so that he couldn't do anything or see what was happening inside. However, he could still hear all the cries of pain and despair, realizing that the massacre lasted many hours. And in addition to this, he explains to us that all the bodies were taken to a specific place to be stored and eaten for years... This act of liberation was planned by 1006 for several years in order to take advantage of the fact that all the employees would be in that day. one place and feed all the monsters who had an appetite for meat. Of course, not everyone agreed, some like DogDay, or even Poppy, resisted; but the most curious thing is that we (the player) did not go to the factory that day. And this is a mystery that is not explained to us exactly, but that we will surely discover in the other chapters. The important thing here is that 'The Hour of Joy' was the decisive event that marked the end of Playtime Co, until our arrival 10 years later...
