What is Mastering?? #shorts

hey everybody i thought i'd try something new here and do a little short question and answer video this one comes from the buret kamagen i know less than zero about the recording process can someone please explain the difference between mixing and mastery if someone is able to explain to me like i'm fine i thought they were essentially the same thing easy thing to get confused about when you're starting out mixing is the process where we combine the bass drums guitars vocals and make it into a cohesive hole mastering is when we take that mix and apply an eq curve to it so it will work on various systems from great big stereos to your ipods to your car stereo and if you're doing a project with more than one song mastering is the process where we make sure the perceived volume from song to song remains the same a mastering engineer will also make sure your recording remains inspect for mass production of cds or vinyl that's all there is to it man
