What is Jonathan Blow's WPM?

what is my wpm i don't know okay let's find out what my wpm is ready ready i'm gonna start a timer uh stop watch okay ready i mean we're only at 22 seconds so uh oh stalled out okay so this will be my pv but it won't be like max w i mean honestly if you want max w you do this max is slowing down my wpm is gated by emacs at this point oh god it's slowing down okay stop all right so the ws are actually i don't know if this disqualifies me because they're still pasting into the buffer there we go all right so um i don't know how many double u's this is but that's my wpm um i can't even scroll down the page cleanly now it just hangs okay guys watch this here i'm at the start of the ws i'm setting the point in emacs i am now going to press the go to end of file button and when i do that it will freeze for a while and then go to the end of the file all right so ready you'll hear the key press ready now but don't worry garbage collection is just fine um this tells you by the way the importance of having a good editor you cannot get max wpm without a good responsive editor i don't think that was actually garbage collection i think that was just emacs lisp elizabeth g seed yeah but i mean i don't think it was spending most of that time in the gc you know what i'm saying i think most of that time was probably cpu in some way
