What IS IT REALLY LIKE To TRAVEL AUSTRALIA??? - Caravanning Australia- VANLIFE ADVENTURES (83)

[Music] in our last episode we started the 4,000 km Journey traveling across Australia through free time zones and free states in this episode we continue that Journey traveling through the notorious Halls Creek canara and then finally crossing the border into the Northern Territory well we've been driving for quite a while and it's nearly lunchtime so we pulled into Mary pool's rest area it's massive area loads of beautiful trees and as you can see there's quite a few in here and um Tada me and uh we're going to have a look at the river in a minute I think there might be a bit of water in it so it's not a bad spot you get a bit of shade but we're going to have lunch and keep cruising really there's toilets here Bush toilets and there's a dump point and there were bins as we uh drove in so that's pretty handy thought we'd uh check it out while we're here there is a little bit of water what do you want to drink go for a swim oh well there water that side you're in crck country now I'm not going in I'm not going ins so that go go for dip go on you never know put your swi on in there yeah you'll be right darling yeah yeah you go in or do it for the YouTube video no there a't nothing this Rod but it could be well it could be they say they lay dormant in any po body of water oh no so they could be there more that side swim up and down a bit more yeah you see them it's clear look oh yeah you could probably have a dip in there there no oo that goes all out down there that's it onwards and upwards we're going to continue to Halls Creek and then find a camp spot probably after there cuz it's bit early in the day yet yeah bit early for I stop it's not even midday yet even though we've had lunch so we're going to keep going YY we're coming into Halls Creek we made it to here so we're going to find a fuel stop refuel and then get the other side to free cam where we going now BP um not sure there's supposed to be coals on the left HSE Creek has a reputation for being really rough and people hanging out on the streets and um bit of a reputation it looks pretty quiet to us well this is your BP and it's a prepay terminal so we have to pay before we can get our fuel and it's is it's all um gated emergency stop buttons and all sorts going on here I guess it's a little bit of crime you reckon this is pump one not working on there okay there another pump in so what one do you want pump three do pump three yeah that's working yeah that's working use pump three 235 here that's what we we paed actually a little it was a little bit cheaper at that other one I thought it was 235 225 yeah it was 225 so considering you in the outback I was expecting more like $3 so here is it no there's nothing here really there's there's an IG yeah so we might pop and get there and get ourselves bottle of pop and then uh we'll find free camp for tonight that's it so the uh this R this is really cute El was on top of it look all like um cows that's really really cute so uh we got our bottle to pop continue on this is exactly the same as any outb Town we've ever been to um yeah so there's no need to be scared to stop here you'll be absolutely fine not anywhere you have a little bit of trouble sometimes yeah you're plenty in bloody Southeast Queensland yeah we have plenty in Brisbane different you know things going on so it's actually very quiet look I'll show you not a lot going on here I'm eating chocolate oh there goes your health regime that's a d out window Fat Boy Slim there oh lovely he loves a Chuy ball I don't like chocolate no you don't like chocolate do you ate itut chocolate what's nice we're sitting it's really lovely and quiet actually and there's a few Birds of Prey we just see him flying around I won't be able to catch him on the GoPro I have to treat treat myself to one of the zoom in super duper cameras right pretty sure maybe when we got million subscribers on YouTube then we get one so that they room awesome let's go we're um we're not sure if this is a controlled burnoff that they do or um just a bushire just a bushire we don't we don't know well I can't see no bodies no I can't see no fire here so I can't see um anybody no I don't know I guess it's a yeah push fire yeah possibly but know there smoke in it yeah oh smoking smoking so it's nearly half 3 we've been on the road since about 7: this morning so we're going to pull in now to this rest area it's Spring Creek um cuz we're naked and hopefully we can have a F do our camp oven tonight hope so oh it looks busy but they said on the reviews it says if it's busy drive down the aill well we got a spot but it is absolutely jam-packed here guy over the back says you get blocked in at night as well cuz a lot of people leave their Vans here and go and do the bungle bungles so we've lit the fire about an hour before we want to cook so it goes to Coal bit late actually yeah a little bit late but Tommy got here set up and then went to going for a few Twigs we had the logs but we just needed a few fire starters Twisted fire we got the last little drible each of our wine left and that's it cheers to your tot then M uh so we got our little cooking pot on there hopefully it be ready in about half an hour we can't believe it we it's spring Gully there's a dump point so if it all dump our was before we leave and Gary's open the dump point and someone's left a bag of rubbish cuz they're dumb and there are bins bins just literally there and people wonder why the council shut free places and get rid of these facilities oh so you might be asking yourselves why are we not doing the bungle bungle well it's like this we're going to plan a big topend trip and then we're going to do the bungle bungles the Gib River Road what else we're going to do guys um we're going to do Darwin lynchfield um cadoo we're going to do onam land do all the lot a whole lot in one go going to try and get any permits we need and do like a massive trip just going in the cruiser yeah leave the Caravan big this to be the ultimate rig yeah and um go but in the meantime we're mainly doing this drive across because we're going to go back to work we got to but yeah to top the funds up so we thought we might as well get back to brisban where we know we can earn good money yep rather than just getting road work on the road and they don't really want to pay you too much 4 mon head across do some work plan this big epic trip it's exciting times is it see where we go yeah it should be good shouldn't it yeah it should be amazing Cruise across and see as much as we can see on the way yeah we thought we might as well film it as well show a few free stops that you can uh stop yeah and uh just show what we can on on our cruising across that's what we can do is it and just enjoy enjoy the journey yeah that's part well that's big bar he start having too much lip got Terence so he was in it a not he's coming you better ready scer he's a scer oh expect you want some fish next ter you yeah [Music] unbelievable [Music] we left that camp about half an hour ago um and we got about 200ks down to canara canara canara canara easy it's quite a seiling this drive actually isn't it yeah it is actually all right fat all that flat stuff this is a few Hills quite green theyve done a few burnups they yeah [Music] [Music] well we stopped at canara uh to get some fuel and we just come to the front here to um have a bit have a bit of lunch and just cup of tea cup of tea and it looks really beautiful spot I definitely think we'll stop here when we do our top end trip yeah it's um right by the river isn't it oh it's lovely really Beau look oh oh camera's gone down that's nice beautiful nice and hot is it really hot lovely it's nice and clear you can see when them big crops come up to get you you never know I D it on there they like it a bit murky don't they yeah well this bit is called celebrity Park so I think there's a plaque somewhere with Denise Davies on it really I'm a celebrity get me out of here cool you're liveing dream world you do look at that we're in the park looking out across oh it's a really pretty place after all that dryness dryness and you get here and it's just lovely Lush isn't it yeah oh look at the color grass we're going to keep going today onto Catherine well on a mission yeah well we might not get to Catherine today no you won't get there today overnigh another Camp other Mill and then on to Catherine and I reckon we'll be there try the rest of the day and a bit more tomorrow yeah we should we should be there and then we'll have a little rest w't we yeah what do you reckon sounds good to [Music] me so we've crossed over the border into the Northern Territory and it's quite funny cuz in wa the speed limit was 110 you cross over the board order and it's now 130 so that's quite funny makes no sense it not that we'll be doing 130 T obious same country yeah it's uh quite funny it's it's like going to another country rather than another state so Northern Territory is Lawless do like Northern Territory um yeah so we just keep trucking until we um get to a nice rest area for tonight yeah well we come up trumps again of course another cracking free spot what's it called East East Banes rest area there you go and there shade there's a few trees um there's firings so we're getting well into this using the camp oven that's what we got tonight nice we got baked potato potato wrapped in foil baking in the fire and I'm doing a chili to go on top in the camp oven but it's a m do chili cuz I ain't got kidney red kidney beans cuz we ain't got none so it's really spicy mints in tomato sauce I oh it's classic that one I'll have a classic that one make do cookbook coming out soon only only $9.99 yeah no you idiot I know but I'm your idiot I know everyone's got their own IDI you're definitely mine yeah this is it's quite big area there's only I think four Caravans here loads of space so it's not a bad one and US dodgy dinners.com that's s Dody dinners.com all right it's going to be a cracker didn't you go I can smell that chili would you reckon this oh this is going to be awesome and we're tea turtle at the moment alcohol free you hear that to toil alcohol free zone good it because we not allowed to drink anymore we've been drinking too much on the road now we got to be good so what I want to know guys what is when you're going to make another cup of tea I've just made bloody TOA God stop for me is it I Go Again go again keep going I wonder do I get into bed I absolutely Zog out I'm so tired unreal how are they done guess I enough oh look at that bab potato on the fire in cool look at that okay so chili con honey without the kidney beans yeah spicy mints good a it yeah Gary has to say it's good or he won't get fed tomorrow no he's good it's crap out tell you awesome well we on that final stretch to Catherine now um it was 340 K to go from where we camp last night we're nearly at Timber Creek so we'll uh refuel up there just so we can make it to Catherine then we'll see this lot we get there yeah oh well supposed to have hot springs we've not done any hot springs I don't think have we no not come across any on our travel so that' be nice yeah give it going yeah when we're driving along on these long journey journe is we try and break up the boredom obviously we keep swapping drivers we listen to a bit of music we nonstop talk although saying that sometimes we have those Mo moments of Silence where we're just sitting and thinking the old game of I spy but after you've done Road Rock tree Sky we sometimes run out of ideas so what games do you play when you're in the car to driving along to break it up add your ideas in the comments we see the sign for that old Victoria River Crossing so we thought let's go down and have a look on not I've walk down here cuz we've got a caravan in tow can't bring the Caravan down here and it's really Scenic it's really lovely spot if we just had the forward drive for rooftop tent you could uh obviously come down here and go on a bit of an exploration but check this out cool wow that's just stunning beautiful Haven for the Wildlife and the birds can you hear them oh just wonderful a heart speed to the city streets we be begin to feel the fire We rise like tall buildings as the chemicals they take us higher the night young and it's just be and she puts her hand in my we want to chase the name want to dance to the light P STS from the sky just two hearts running wild never sleep never stop every shot from the top we're going to we're going to be two HS running [Music] wild well after four days of driving we finally made it and in the hot springs yeah it's lovely it how many kilometers uh dri 1,500 and something oh four days yeah bit of a driving yay we finally made it y so catch all this in our next video
