since fallen asleep the ginch Ricky however had yet to enter a blissful Slumber a part of him couldn't believe that he had plucked up the courage to confess his feelings to her yet still it just felt right a part of him a little bit anxious though as he wondered when she would reply to his confession what should she say how would she respond he supposed that there were only one of two outcomes she would say yes or no if the latter he would be disappointed but knew that his feelings for her wouldn't change and that they could still be friends yet he yearned to hear her say yes to his confession and return his feelings they might have only been together for a short time yet he knew he just knew that deep down she would always have a special place in his heart he yawned slightly as he felt his eyes slowly growing ever as they began to close he inhaled her scent one last time as sleep finally claimed it however what he didn't know was that his Slumber wouldn't exactly be peaceful in Naruto's mindscape the blonde Uzumaki opened his eyes and found himself within the confines of his mindscape a place that he seldom enjoyed visiting however something was different this time first and most obviously was the spiderwebs that had essentially taken over the place secondly the atmosphere felt different now it didn't feel oppressive or full of malice like it did when he first met the qib by face to face when he found himself falling into that seemingly endless Chasm he certainly didn't will himself here so the only explanation was that the Damned Fox itself wanted to talk for whatever reason sighing to himself he marched towards the direction of the seal Gates his footsteps echoed across the sewer like tunnels and hallways of the mindscape as he braced himself for what was to come with the BIDU try and tempt him with power in exchange for its release did it just summon him here to mock insult and threaten him he wasn't sure but something was definitely a little bit off he just couldn't place his finger on it the gates came into view as he approached cautiously however there was no feeling of danger present nor did his Spider Sense react either L despite now being just a few feet away from the gates he still couldn't feel the malicious or of the cubi as he did on his first visit he was about to call out for the fox but then he heard someone approaching thanks to his ability to see in the dark he immediately perceived two figures one was an extremely attractive woman with Crimson hair and the other was a miniature cubi that the woman was holding in her arms okay what the hell is going on here he asked himself wondering what kind of trick that the fox was trying to pull if this was some sort of Twisted joke he failed to see the reasoning or punch line behind it the crimson-haired woman smiled softly some tears forming around the corners of her eyes as she stifled a small SOB her expression making the whiskered teen raise an eyebrow it seemed like this lady was moved to tears just from seeing him why she didn't know him did she hi ho s your name is Naruto San right my name is kirama and I want to be your friend let's be good friends okay the little fox spoke in a chipper tone and extended a tail as if offering it for a handshake which made the blonde teen blink his eyes a few times not only had the fox's size changed but its whole demeanor tone and mannerisms had changed as well was the SP spiderbite involved somehow how and why did it drastically change the Q by no kitsu into such a degree its name was Kurama he had no idea it had a name why was that woman even here who is she I I guess you must be really confused and have a lot of questions allow me to start by saying that my name is kashana Uzumaki and I am your mother the Violet Eyed Woman revealed her tone a mix of joy and sorrow as she revealed her identity to her child his jaw almost dropped to the floor as he processed these words was she being serious he gave her a scrutinizing look but detected no signs of deception only the already aforementioned emotion joy and sorrow he looked between the two and the gate a few times as he tried to connect the dots and he could only come up with one conclusion in regards to this cussion of woman as he muttered you died didn't he you die but you never really left me I was so happy the moment you were born Naruto K there was so much I wanted to do with you and for you my only regret is that I wasn't there for any of it I am sorry she apologized tearfully her sincere words making her son feel as though he had just been speared through the heart the B used a pair of tails to brush away the Uzumaki woman's tears and spoke with a broad grin he now no crying I hate seeing people cry you two should be happy that you finally get to meet the two yuzaki smiled since the little kit made a good point they should indeed be happy that they were finally able to speak to each other for the first time however I am still completely confused as to what is going on how are you here why now you weren't here when I came to the mindscape before what happened to the Q I mean to kirama since when did kirama have a Name Naruto asked in a rapid fire manner not that his mother or the beu could blame him since they were still quite confused just as well we're kind of in the dark here too though I think the proverbial to side in a hammock made of spiderwebs as she was reading a book that looked like some sort of manga who at the whiskered team questioned with his mother and the young kit shrugging their shoulders we asked the same thing we asked her who she was and what she wanted but she didn't really give any clear answers kirama with a sigh which made the blonde use Yaki rais an eyebrow as he looked up towards the strange girl once again he didn't sense any real Danger from her rather he detected something akin to Whimsy and childlike innocence and playfulness the girl looked down and gave a small giggle as she spoke in a mirthful tone to e because it would be really tedious having to introduce myself more than once as I mentioned earlier I want to bring about the age of smiles both of the usumaki and the bigu sweat dropped at that was that meant to be good tidings or something more ominous they couldn't tell all you know that kind of sounded better in my head I've been reading this candidates to inherit the gifts of the spiders she explained with a large Grin While she continued to read from her manga Naruto processed the girl's words for a few moments then he got a sneaking suspicion about what she was referring to as he asked are you talking about the spider verse at his question nie grin widened further to the point her cheeks seemed almost ready to split open as she merrily replied that's correct believe it or not I am the progenitor and architect to what you refer to as the spider verse pretty impressive huh in the background kush's face was becoming red with frustration as she finally screamed out will someone tell me what is going on spider spider verse Web of Life and Destiny if someone doesn't give me a proper explanation right now my in head is going to explode the crimson-haired woman almost screeched out the last part as she directed A glare at the girl known only as neath the girl gave a lazy smirk and held up her index finger causing a crimson colored string to appear as it extended forward and began to wrap itself around the wrists of the two uzumakis and the beu with the strange girl speaking showing will be faster than telling before the others could question the stranger further their minds were flooded with images memories and new information they watched history unfold before their very eyes as they learned of neath's true nature the strange girl was in truth the goddess of spiders and sometimes referred to as the great Weaver long ago Neath asked her elder sister the WASP goddess shatra to play with her but her older sibling declined for she was busy having been tasked in making a Celestial map or model of the Multiverse by the their parents a great Nest as the was godd has called it Neath herself deemed the great Nest is too rigid too controlling she then created her own model of the Multiverse known as the great web on a whim with her model being greatly favored over shatas by their parents who then showed off ne's great web to the other gods as a result the young spider goddess was quickly nominated as the shaper of the Multiverse only agreeing to take the position with chat's blessing the Elder wasp goddess agreed but was shortly thereafter consumed with jealousy and set down a darker path Nathan constructed various spiders known as Spider totems who were tasked with repairing maintaining and expanding the web of life and Destiny a task the spider totems carried out endlessly to this very day with each new universe the great web expands ever on and on and within each and every Universe connected to the web a person has chosen to be bestowed the abilities of the spiders with the vast majority of these chosen individuals becoming great Heroes thus the varying iterations of the hero known as Spider-Man was born time seemed to fast forward as they then experienced kash's own life from her own memories nuto and kirama both saw her sad history as they learned of the destruction of Uzu of her becoming the niame kbi giki of her struggles with kurama's former self of when she was kidnapped by Kumo but then her memories became happier upon being rescued by the one who history would remember as the yellow flesh akam manado namazi they saw how she and the yame were married in secret the moment when manado nominated his Sensei jury to be Naruto's Godfather then they saw the Knight kushna gave birth to Naruto the forced extraction of kirama in the attack of the mysterious mased man and then they saw kushna and monado's death as they bestowed their hopes and last best wishes upon their newborn child once again time Advanced quickly as Kash and kirama then saw Naruto's own memories witnessing firstand the hardships the boy endured how he was kept isolated and alone living in a borderline dilapidated apartment how parents kept their children from him how various stores would turn him away or sell him overcharged or nearly expired Goods they then saw his struggles at the Academy as he tried to become a Shinobi they began to witness his triumphs how he finally earned his shobai headband the various missions he had engaged in his climatic fight with the yabai inui Gara and finally his near-death experience against the traitor saso finally they witnessed the time Naruto spent during his training trip with Jura and his lack of progress the moment he had been bitten by a spider and finally his training amongst the spider society and his quickly growing Bond and relationship with Gwen Stacy gr rrrrr joria that no good bastard I knew it I Ain knew he wouldn't take his duties seriously oh it'll be fine Kash achan Jia is my Sensei and he made the book that inspired our child's name he's perfect god parent material theado says well you am i n a u f u c k you I hope you're rotting in Hell Kusa roared in Anger her hair seemingly taking a life of its own as it wildly threshed and whipped about causing the lit BIDU to LEAP from her arms and seek shelter behind a fuming whiskered blonde maruto himself was angry at the Damned pervy Sage the man was supposed to be his Godfather but didn't say anything when was he even going to tell him if at all were had he even been during all those years when he needed him was it too much trouble to drop in for an occasional visit to make a phone call to send one damn letter on another note he now knew the truth of the qibi attack thebu kirama wasn't responsible it was the man in The Mask he was the one behind everything the man in The Mask killed his parents killed all those people that died that night and was in turn responsible albeit indirectly for his lonely childhood he had a strong feeling that the masked man was still out there somewhere likely committing other atrocities behind the scenes this man this psychopath terrorist needed to be found hunted down and killed in the most brutal manner possible the whisker teen never would have imagined this but if there were ever a moment when he would feel true pleasure and satisfaction that taking a life it would definitely be reserved for the man in The Mask the spider goddess giggled a bit as she disconnected the Crimson thread from them all and asked so as everyone caught up on what's what her question snapped the spider shobai from his anger and musings as took on a thinking pose there were still some things that needed to be explained mostly but I still have a few questions if you created the spider verse do you know of a way to restore lost worlds from my understanding you created the spider totem so you wouldn't have to do any real work or micromanage anything so why come directly to me why get involved also what happened to Kurama the whis te inquired listing off his questions then asked one other that was directed at the B at selfo kirama I have no idea if you're a boy or a girl which are you thebu looked up at him the little kit using one of its tails to scratch at its forehead as it answered technically neither libu are living constructs of chakra male and female don't hold much meaning to us but that also means we can freely choose for ourselves what we wish to be if it's convenient for you you can think of me Naruto and Kush in his memories I wasn't very nice my old self was a big and mean jerk and should have been angry at the masked man instead of Naruto maybe it'll be better this way the kit responded feeling as though this would be a fresh start for her and her current host as such she bore no grudge against the goddess Neath nodded in acceptance her demeanor brightening again as she then continued to answer Naruto's questions the reason I have directly involved myself this time and came to you specifically is because my sister plans to take revenge against Me by unraveling my great web I believe she will seek out and corrupt certain spider people to dismantle my web and failing that she will kill them I firmly believe that you Naruto Uzumaki are currently at the top of her list because of your raw potential and unique nature which makes you both a potential asset and trump card for her and also a grave threat to her and her plans the wary my unique nature he repeated with a raised eyebrow making the great Weaver frown slightly as she replied in a cryptic manner I can say no more on that front and not because I want to even Divine beings are bound by certain rules that cannot and must not ever be broken I wonder what she meant by that sounded like she wished to explain but literally couldn't she then cleared her throat as she continued to speak as for the Lost worlds I take it that for instance you're referring to one such world that your Miguel O'Hara accidentally CA to vanish I can indeed though it is not currently safe to do so given the looming threat my sister potentially poses if I were to restore any of the Lost worlds she would be able to easily track me down and I have no desire for direct confrontation with my sister after all I am not what you would call the combative type though if my sister were subdued I would most happily restore the Realms that have become disconnected from the web disconnected not Destro the whisker teen question with a raised eyebrow all of the Realms of what you call the spider verse are connected it is a web after all so many worlds so many possibilities some different others similar but still joined together separate yet also bound together by the countless threads however these threads of strain can eventually snap not an easy feat but not impossible once disconnected the world Fades away to where I do not know perhaps some sort of subdimension that lies outside the great web but if the thread is restored the world comes back with it what you know is the collider incident as you already many know caused numerous distortions across the spider verse some worse than others this greatly strains the Connecting Threads Between Worlds but in time they will be repaired by my totems it also helps a little when you send the displaced objects and villains back where they belong which helps mitigate said distortions your Mentor Miguel O'Hara himself accidentally caused a distortion with his continued presence in a world where he had already died which caused the thread connecting that world to the web to snap and disappear he mistook this event as disrupting the cannon it's true that there are often many shared themes in event that often play out in highly similar ways but not all things are predetermined each Spider-Man has their own choices their own lives and their own Destinies it's what makes you all unique and makes my web all the greater and stronger though on the other hand as sad as it is there are some things in life that are indeed unavoidable no matter what you do or say these events are referred to as absolute points and unchangeable an unavoidable event in time that cannot and must not ever be altered that is selected by each universe's own timeline for example in your world Naruto yuz umaki the CU by attack and the death of your parent are absolute points without the death of manato and kashana and without kirama being sealed within you you would not have suffered as you did which meant you would have not gained your strong sense of empathy for others own pain and suffering like for instance gar another example would be the death of Peter Parker's Uncle Ben were it not for the death of his uncle Peter wouldn't have fully learned and understood the meaning of what became the spider people's Creed with great power comes great responsibility which in turn would have meant that he wouldn't have been able to fully and truly Embrace his role as Spider-Man Neath then sighed deeply after her long explanation there nuto and nowon Kash and kirama all quietly absorb this information all of them sharing the same belief that one is free to choose their own Destinies but of course there are perhaps some things that are beyond all control what happens if an absolute point is broken the little BIDU questioned though she had a feeling that she wouldn't like the answer in one Universe in one timeline a certain sorcerer Supreme attempted to stop an absolute point from happening to save his lost love this caused a massive breach in both time and space within that realm causing it to implode upon itself as the fabric of reality came undone benath respon as she snapped her manga shut her tone being quite grave a clear warning that it was unwise to mess with the fabric of the universe in such a manner yeah I don't think we'll be doing that one more thing what is it that you really want nethan please don't say anything about an age of smiles again the whiskered teen questioned as he crossed his arms while I would very much like my sister back and see her freed of her own hatred also I just want life to continue on a Multiverse without life and without Freedom sounds like a terrible place for people to live at any rate I believe that all of our bases should be covered now and any confusion should be cleared up I promise you once my sister has been subdued and the great web is safe and stable again I'll restore the worlds that were disconnected you have my word the spider goddess swore with a reassuring smile she then gave a wink and added with a grin be seeeing you around with that said she snapped her fingers and vanished in the blink of an eye leaving the two uzumakis and B alone within the mindscape W this was quite a lot to take in I don't even know where to really start nuto muttered as he rubbed his temples trying to absorb all of this information though one thing was certain he had to relay this information directly to his teacher Miguel tell me about it still my son is going to be a freaking superhero H and that girl When Stacy she's absolutely perfect for you I'm so proud of you she is so kind and gentle with you and the way you two went at it on that first night hot damn kashana squealed in Delight as she embraced her son feeling very excited by the prospect of future grandchildren further down the line wake you actually saw that part when me and Gwen he stalwart Ally of Kano why has it been largely forgotten you would think that the fall of Uzu would be a pretty significant entry in the history books the spider shobai mused since he had absolutely zero recollection of Uzu ever being mentioned in the countless history lectures he had been forced to listen to at the Academy it wasn't even brought up in the history books as he just pointed out I don't have an answer for that one wouldn't surprise me though if that is by Design especially after my own death a certain someone may have to change that his mother pointed out suggestively with a was a certain mysticism about the spider verse from his own logic in perspective it only made sense that there had to be an architect behind it all such a complex but also simple system constantly building upon itself not to mention since it is by definition a web there has to be a core world or center from which it originated from though what truly caught the futuristic Spider-Man's attention was the fact that the world he accidentally caused to vanish was indeed not Beyond saving there was a chance that it could be restored everything could be made right again all of the people who vanished including the daughter of his counterpart could be saved once the whiskered teen had finally finished his explanation about the spider verse though kept out the parts about his mother and personal history for the time being Miguel cleared his throat and spoke to himself as he adopted a thinking pose so then if we find and defeat this chatra then Neath will restore everything the way it's supposed to be that's what she promised can't say I'm an expert on gods or goddesses but I'm very certain they don't make promises lightly the spider Shinobi responded with his mentor humming and thought as he clasped his hands behind his back to think his whole Canon event Theory a swing in a Miss though for once he felt a sort of Happiness to know that his theory was wrong it felt as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders with all of this newfound knowledge ever since he came up with his theory he had become increasingly paranoid in controlling of how the spider Society should operate now that they had a better understanding of the spider verse he could relax a number of his policies however he still had reservations about miles morals in his world Earth 1610 were the disruptions to the great web originated from while the original collider of that world had been destroyed it was still not impossible for it to be restored if that were to happen and a new iteration of the machine was used again he dare not think of the consequences there was also the fact that there were other colliders being built in certain Dimensions as well fortunately they were built more for the sake of harmless research rather than breaching reality as was the case with Earth 1610 and the kingpen however should these other colliders be misused a little sabotage can go a long way to prevent them from reaching the same destructive potential as their original iteration and you're sure it isn't a load of bollocks mate not sure I'd put my trust in someone claiming to be a goddess Hobie pointed out as he rolled his guitar pick across his knuckles with a raised eyebrow I didn't say anything about blindly trusting her but she directly showed me her memories and I didn't get any feeling that she was lying she seemed kind of carefree and maybe kind of lazy but she didn't seem like a bad person also I'd say that anyone who can restore the Lost worlds back to the way they were kind of has the right to have the title of goddess oh wait you don't believe in gods or labels right Naruto asked the last part with a raised eyebrow since Hobie was an activist in his world and was a bit of an anarchist so he wouldn't put it past him to disregard religion and belief also coming from a world where it is possible to summon the Shinigami itself and revive the Dead made Nudo believe that in itself was proof at least in his own world that there was indeed an afterlife and there for a higher plane of existence that was possibly Beyond human comprehension he wasn't sure if the same rules applied to all worlds but he wasn't going to argue or debate over it not when there were much more important things at stake Obie smirked but said nothing silently conceding that this Neath should perhaps be given the benefit of the doubt provided she made good on her promise and aside he knew that Naruto was a stand-up sort of bloke and was very good at reading people even if he didn't trust the goddess he would still put his trust in Naruto himself out of nowhere the holographic form of lla appeared as she adjusted her signature here shaped glasses and chimed in hate to interrupt but we have a situation the AI snapped her fingers causing an image to appear before the gathered spider people as they saw the form of Miles Morales engaging with a strange figure that was all white with black spots adorning his body the image of miles made Gwen purse her lips feeling a sense of nostalgia upon seeing her old friend who what are we looking at here I'm going to need a little and saw various Motor Vehicles backed up in the streets he could smell the exhaust in the air which irritated his nose and made him frown while the tall buildings were perfect for climbing and web swinging he much preferred the natural beauty and clean air of his home World okay Lyla how do we find this clown Naruto asked as he held up his Gizmo his inquiry prompting the AI to appear in her miniature form H had his own private lab courtesy of alchemax a big collider that Miles destroyed is out of commission but his private lab should have the Parts and Equipment he needs to make a smaller scale model which he can use to empower himself and from there hop into another dimension to hijack a functional full scale collider a private lab should be just in front of you he has to show up there at some point lla answered him before disappearing the whisker teen looked up and saw a building that was labeled property of alemx directly in front of him making him smirk a bit as he sat down on the building's ledge if the the provided intel was accurate which he was confident that it was then own would have to appear at some point or other he supposed that this meant he and Gwen were going to have to do a Stakeout probably should have brought some snacks or something we might be waiting here a while Naruto spoke with a chuckle as he looked over his shoulder only to see his roommate was walking away which prompted him to ask um Gwen where are you going she froze up for a moment before turning around as she chuckled a little nervously she thought about lying and telling Naruto that she was going to get snacks but she couldn't bring herself to lie to his face as she responded sorry but I'm going to go pay miles a visit you know go check on him see how he's been doing formerly a student of Brooklyn Middle School where he was considered the popular kid won a lottery for a slot at a school called Brooklyn Visions Academy aruto mused quietly as he looked through the the most relevant information he then saw an entry that was labeled poor decision- making which revealed a test from of his first day at Visions Academy showing that Miles deliberately sabotaged himself to try and yet expelled weight did he seriously write to samary as part of the date on it furthermore he was given a free pass by his teacher the blonde boy felt his jaw clench a bit not only did Miles attempt to throw away a great opportunity at a nice school but wasn't even punished for his actions were his parents aware of what he tried to do if he had been in my shoes he wouldn't have done something like that and tried to make his parents proud of him he then saw another entry that was Mark spider power manifesting which revealed miles speaking with none other than Gwen who was posing as a student at Visions there was an added note that described that Gwen was most likely the first of the stranded spider people in Earth 1610 and that she had infiltrated Visions Academy to tail Dr Octavius who also conducted seminars at that very school in order to try and find a way back home the blonde then saw footage of Miles trying to flirtatiously place his hand on Gwen shoulder an action that made him feel possessive of the spider drummer and made him remind himself that this happened about a year ago way before he even met her he then saw miles at his hand on the side of her head seemingly having difficulty letting go of her making the Uzumaki realize that his wall crawling abilities had manifested only he couldn't control them right then and as a result accidentally tore out some of Gwen's hair ouch that looked really painful he understood that what happened was obviously an accident but seeing the way miles touched her on the shoulder made his skin crawl and he felt some bile in his throat he shook his head reminding himself once again that he hadn't yet met Gwen at that point of time and then fast forwarded again where he learned of my's uncle Aaron Davis aka the prowler who was shot and killed by the Kingpin shortly after defeating the Kingpin and destroying the collider miles created a mural bearing his uncle's likeness he then checked another note that was labeled people aware of his identity and found only two entries n Parker who was the caretaker and guardian of Earth 1610s original Spider-Man Peter Parker the other entry was labeled as gank Le who was Miles roommate at Visions Academy and there were a series of texts that very strongly suggested that gank was not very helpful and quite lazy repeatedly stating something along the lines of I'm not your guy in the chair this made the Uzumaki sweat drop finding it kind of dumb that the artistic Spider-Man had told some random and apparently useless stranger about his secret identity and not his own parents his dad was a cop his mother was a nurse if he brought them into the fold they could have a serious collaboration though on the other hand they could also try and stop their son from continuing his Endeavors as Spider-Man even so the Uzumaki at the very least wouldn't have told someone of like that gank fellow who had questionable trustworthiness and reliability at best from what Naruto could see miles hadn't really struggled with anything in life up until the loss of his uncle miles lived in a stable home with loving parents that obviously cared for his future he was both intellectually and artistically gifted and had many other advantages and Gifts most of which Naruto himself never had in wish that he did in many ways he and Miles were like Polar Opposites of one another he felt a sense of resentment finding it absurd how miles was so gifted and intelligent yet seemed to throw away numerous opportunities things that the whiskered teen himself never got was he actually grateful for what he had or did he take it for granted was he fully aware of the spider people's famous treed and embraced it Naruto set his tongue and shook his head wondering if he was overthinking things and that he was feeling jealous over nothing he was only learning about miles from a file he hadn't yet met the guy in person and truly gotten to know him it would only be fair to reserve judgment until officially meeting him he sighed to himself and decided to keep watch over the laboratory even with the cars honking in the streets below the people walking by and chatting on the streets there was a deafening silence as he found himself missing Gwen's comforting presence stop thinking about it she's just going to see a friend you can make it without her for a bit one hour won't kill you Tommy what am I a lovesick puppy with an abandonment complex he spoke to himself jokingly the Uzumaki considered meditating and retreating into his mindscape to consult his mother about terrible was going to happen everything was going to be fine it was just an hour what was the worst that could happen went hum to herself as she zipped through the streets of Brooklyn a sense of nostalgia washing over her as she was finally back in familiar territory miles New York and her own were so similar that there was hardly any real difference which made it very easy for her to navigate around she felt a little guilty for leaving Naruto behind like that and for practically manipulating his feelings for her to go and pay a visit to miles but she reasoned that her fellow blonde would be fine they could hang out whenever they wanted but she never got a chance to see miles before today due to Miguel's no contact order her that aside she would just be gone for an hour and be right back nothing to it no harm no foul it wasn't long before she arrived at the Mor's residence as she landed softly against the side of the building thankfully Miguel's file on the artistic Spider-Man was pretty thorough as it also contained his address which she memorized she took a peek through one of the windows more specifically the one that was left open and was lucky enough to find the room of her old friend on the first try she could see him lying on his bed as he was listening to some music through a pair of headphones she chuckled a bit as she slipped inside and crawled on his ceiling to surprise him a big grin on her face as she called down to him miles miles she smirked a bit as his eyes opened finding himself looking up at her as he quickly snatched his headphones off and stared up at her in disbelief as she asked got a minute she then chuckled as she landed Softly on his bed in a cross-legged position taking a quick look around his room when when how did you miles asked in shock as the blonde drummer quickly wrapped him up in a warm and friendly hug before separating from him how have you been he questioned with wide eyes still processing the fact that she was here in his room it kind of made him question if this was real or not but he knew that this was in fact not a dream oh I Vu I've been good look at you you grew I hit a gross spurt she asked with a nervous chuckle as she did a small fist bump against his shoulder o yeah your hair has gotten Pinker he awkwardly pointed out gesturing to her pink highlights in her hair his mind running a mile a minute as he tried to calm himself and get over his surprise is this the room you grew up and she asked as she took another look around his room noting the various posters and art supplies inside she saw miles shove some items a couple of action figures and some other things into a drawer making her chuckle a bit which made her roll her eyes was he embarrassed about the fact he still held on to some toys and stuff from his childhood she didn't see anything wrong with that since she thought it was a good thing for people to hold on to things they loved as a child for sentimental reasons hey what's this she asked as she saw an open sketchbook on my's bed before he could react she snatched it with her webbing before he was able to get to it first and then perusing through the contents as she spoke are these your drawings they're pretty good she complimented seeing a sketch of his uncle Aaron one of spider and War spiderham and a few of herself as well her smile faltered a bit as she flipped through some of the pages each page having one or more sketches of herself she felt both a sense of flattery and unease the former because it was nice to see that Miles missed her and thought about her but as for the latter the large number of drawings of her made her feel a bit uncomfortable while there are so many she muttered awkwardly but she then perked up as she returned the Sketchbook and decided to play it off as she said in a friendly tone missed you two miles a young artist placed his Sketchbook off to the side as he decided to ask his friend the question that was really eating away at him said so what are you doing here I thought that I'd never see you again in response she sat down at his window sill and gave him an inviting smile deciding to reconnect with his from one spider to another as she asked want to get out of here mil seemed very much tempted to join her as he stated slowly and grounded though he left out the exact reasoning as to why he was grounded the reasoning in question involving him lying to his parents about where he spends his time and being late to his father's promotion party he didn't help that he had yet to tell his parents that he was Spider-Man bummer she responded in a nonchalant manner before flipping out of the the window with Miles following after and finding her standing on the side of the building with her arms crossed beneath her bust and her signature mask and Hood now on as she asked him as Spider-Man Grounded For a Moment miles hesitated but quickly changed his mind as his old friend gave him an expectant look he chuckled and immediately switched into his Spider Man outfit and followed after her as they began to swing through the city unbeknownst to Miles his parents had come in to check on him only to find him missing which further aggravated his father the soon to be police captain which caused a shout of that's 3 months to echo through the morale residence the two spider people started to web swing their way through New York as Gwen excitedly told her old friend about the spider Society her teacher Jessica drew the society's leader Miguel O'Hara and about some of her friends such as the spider Punk Hobe Brown she laughed heartily as they zipped through the city just like old times miles listened to her finding the prospect of a while Society of spider people to be intriguing feeling like it could be someplace he might finally belong and not have to keep his secrets inmore so why do you show up now how long have you been part of this spider Society he asked wondering why she had come before now about 2 months now Miguel is kind of strict about where I go since I'm still kind of a new recruit she answered while it was not a lie she deliberately left out the part about the no contact order that was placed on Miles hopefully with the new information that Naruto revealed about the spider verse she could soon convince her boss to give her more freedom and let her visit her friend from now on she probably shouldn't have gone behind his back but there was no way she could miss this chance as they swung through the city they passed by the private laboratory of Jonathan own she saw Naruto still sitting alone on that rooftop up as he waited for their spotted Target to appear her eyes and the uzumakis briefly met as she passed by and she could see the longing in them he was wishing that he was the one swinging beside her and now he must be feeling left out God she felt really bad now in her eagerness to see miles again she didn't take Naruto's feelings into account she would have to make it up to him later somehow to apologize miles didn't take notice of the spider Shinobi as he passed by his eyes focusing on the spider drummer as they continued swinging through the city Gwen checked the timer on her watch noting that she still had plenty of time before having to to meet up to her roommate all the while thinking of perhaps offering whatever the whisker teen wanted to eat for dinner as an apology for ditching him they stopped at top a tall building more specifically the Williamsburg Bank building one of my's favorite hangout spots as Spider-Man which also gave a great view of the Brooklyn Skyline so how did you end up joining the spider Society he asked her out of curiosity making Gwen sigh a bit as she told the young artist about what happened between her and her father about how she refrained from telling him her secret and how she ended up being chased out of her home Dimension which resulted in her joining the mass organization even now she still regrets not telling her dad her tale made miles hum in thought as he then admitted to her you know I thought about telling my parents but I'm not sure how they'd react this made the blonde drummer nod her head in understanding as she too had dreaded telling her father now she feared that perhaps it was too late but still after her Naruto's encouraging words before her date with him she wanted to at least try to reconnect with her dad for the sake of closure your boat your call Miles though take it from me personally don't wait until it's too late she spoke with a small Huff as she did her hair up in a ponytail before walking off the side of a ledge and then sat upside down below with a small smile enjoying the view while Brooklyn was a familiar setting for her there was something special about the more natural setting of conoa I don't know maybe some things are supposed to be just for us miles mused as he joined his old friend as he too now sat upside down a little ways behind her his words made the spider drummer hum thoughtfully while it was true it was nice to share things with other spider people she kind of longed to be someplace where she didn't have to hide anything from anyone anymore in Naruto's world even though she had only met and spoken with the karakus it felt refreshing how open they could be with the father daughter Duo and made her think about potentially meeting her roommates other friends as well that's one way to think about it she responded in an noncommittal manner as her thoughts lingered on Naruto she thought about his confession to her how sincere he was and about how she didn't give him an answer to his confession she felt a little bad about not responding to him it made her feel kind of like she was stringing him along but she had to sort out her own feelings first I'm just a really emotionally intelligent guy beyond my ears miles boasted from behind her making her roll her eyes as her lips twitched a bit she recalled how her roommate sensed her distress when she was thinking about her death about how gentle he was with her about how he didn't force her into making any form of decision or commitment on the spot when he confessed to her now that she thought about it she hadn't told miles about her boyfriend yet she probably should but well she didn't want to kill the mood or make things awkward between her and the spider artist she cleared her throat and spoke it's nice being able to talk with you again miles she spoke in a relaxed and warm voice trying not to let the comfortable atmosphere go sour yeah how many people can you talk to about this stuff he questioned her as he now sat right beside her his words making her purse her lips and think once again about a certain whiskered blonde who she felt that she could tell anything to you know you're the first friend I officially made after Peter my peter died she mentioned offhandedly with a small scoff as she felt a bit conflicted right now she checked her timer and found that she still had 38 minutes before meeting with Naruto the spider artist took notice of this but didn't question it at this time other than Hobie you mean he asked her since after she had mentioned Hobie and the fact that she crashed at his place a few times made him wonder if Gwen and Hobie were an item making him feel a bit jealous at the prospect of losing her to someone else especially if he didn't get a fair shot for himself no it's different she muttered unsure of how to define her relationship with Miles was he just a friend something akin to a little brother or something she hadn't yet figured that part out yeah how so he questioned her as he seemed to nervously Pinch at his costume his inquiry making her raise an eyebrow but she decided to play it off his innocent curiosity since she wasn't exactly clear on what she had meant I don't know with you it she tried to explain herself but was cut off by Miles when he interrupted her by saying we're the name in the important ways she hummed and thought at this finding that it was true that she and Miles had a lot in common however even now her mind couldn't help but linger upon Naruto's heartfelt confession perhaps she could voice her reservations to Miles she'd have to be subtle about it to avoid tipping him off since she wanted to spare his feelings you know in every other Universe Gwen Stacy Falls for Spider-Man she mused aloud unknown to her miles took this as a cue that she had potential feelings for him as he inched his hand closer to her own and in every other Universe it doesn't end well she finished her thought while having a sorrowful look as she considered turning down Naruto's feelings her rejection might break his heart but they could still be friends with one another if they were to become something more and if something were to happen to her it could possibly crush him he had already experienced enough pain and suffering throughout the course of his sad childhood she didn't need to be the potential cause of even more suffering for him well there's a first time for everything right miles asked as his hand inched even closer to hers only this time she took notice of it and pulled her hand away from his she considered his words and nodded there was indeed a first for everything but it was still risky qu inside and decided to drop the subject for now God she was feeling so conflicted right now he raised an eyebrow at how she pulled her hand away though he didn't comment on it he then got an idea as he asked her hey you want to come to my dad's promotion party there's lots of food there he offered hoping the invitation will encourage her to stay longer she glanced at her timer once again and found that she still had 35 minutes to go she wouldn't mind some food after all one couldn't fight crime or process their emotions while on an empty stomach and she could also take some with her to give to Naruto when it was time to leave she didn't see the harm in it and agreed as she wondered what kind of food was being served there he what could possibly happen in that time anyway a bit later when and Miles now stood beneath the water tower just adjacent to the promotion party of the latter's Father the two happily chatting away as they enjoyed some food that they sneaked away with their webbing just for the fun of it she was also grateful that her Gizmo had a storage function to hide civilian clothes when needed since it would have been awkward to show up in her spider costume the BL blond drummer occasionally snuck in some glances down to the partygoers mainly because she felt eyes on her her instincts were proven correct as she noticed two people that were undoubtedly mil's parents were looking at her with a scrutinizing and judging gaze were they bothered by her punkish appearance or something was it because they didn't know her and hadn't been properly introduced she Shrugged it off as parents being parents getting all overprotective of their son but still it was kind of rude the karakus welcomed her with open arms and though I am poked and prodded at her with questions due to excitement she immediately backed off after a gentle warning from her dad she decided to ignore the artist's parents and instead keep her attention on Miles and pretend that they were the only ones here though she also reminded herself to take some food for Naruto as well she was certain that he would like most everything here so Gwen what's the deal with that watch thing you're wearing looks pretty Hightech mind if I see it the spider artist asked while gesturing to her Gizmo she ran a finger on the device feeling reluctant to hand it over since it was an essential piece of equipment though she didn't see any real harm in indulging his curiosity sure just for a minute or two I really need it it's called a Gizmo and it keeps me from glitching in other universes also please don't push any of the button she added the last part while passing the device over to her old friend adding in the warning because the last thing she needed was for him to accidentally call the spider society and land her in hot water he accepted the device and inspected it carefully as he wondered how such a thing was made he turned the device over in his hands a few times and asked her so what's it going to take for Miguel O'Hara to notice miles moral o the irony of that question if former had indeed taken notice of the latter and not exactly in a good way I put in a good word for you she promised him having a strong feeling that her old friend could be a great asset to the spider Society it'd be nice to be able to hang out with him much more freely I'm just saying if I had a watch like this I could come with you I did save the Multiverse miles added the last part holding a hint of arrogance that made the spider drummer frown a bit as she now wondered how much his ego had inflated over the past year she cleared her throat and then decided to lie a little in order to save face and gently discourage him by saying it's like a small and Elite Strike Force I can turn invisible I have electric powers think about it he spoke as he listed off some of his abilities making her shake her head and may now regretting having told him about the spider Society now that he knew about its existence he was going to want to know more and he was already wanting to join in without realizing what kind of a commitment it was it wasn't just about protecting a place like Brooklyn it was about protecting the entirety of the Multiverse itself seriously though when did Miles get such a big head sorry miles but there aren't a lot of slots and it isn't up to me she responded with the latter part being technically true since she had no control over who did and didn't join the organization her words earned a look of disappointment from Miles as he nodded with with and Miles mom Rio Morales the nurse greeted somewhat forcefully trying to act friendly which seemed to make the situation even more Awkward the spider teens then saw the form of the soon to be police captain climb up after his significant other upon clearing the railing he stood next to Rio and offered a hand to the blonde drummer Lieutenant Jefferson Davis or rather Captain Davis before long the officer spoke as he introduced himself though from his tone it sounded like he was either trying to warn her or scare her as if to say just give me an excuse when felt increasingly uncomfortable by their presence and wanted to web swing away but she didn't want to make a scene as she shook Jeff's hand with a polite but forced smile mom dead this is guanda a friend from school the spider artist spoke as he introduced her which made her F her eyes toward Wards him while thinking to herself guanda where in the world did he get that from crap too late just be cool and play along how much time the surface there was a creaky noise followed by a loud crunch as her hand finally lifted free along with a large chunk of wood that remained stuck to her Palm oh that's just great she muttered in bitter annoyance Sensei what is happening shizun questioned and it was in that moment she saw a spot on her teachers that was swollen with two puncture markings a spider bite no way she whispered as her eyes widened in shock with the god a nodding slowly confirming it to be true she had indeed been bitten by a spider and as the evidence suggested had begun manifesting abilities of her own just as Naruto did when when he got his bite there was also something else that the blackette noticed she couldn't put her finger on it but did her teacher seem healthier or her skin seemed much smoother and more shiny somehow how do you feel Sensei there's a certain a certain glow about you she asked her teacher who hummed and thought as her headache finally seemed to clear up at long last and that tingling sensation stopped what was that about anyway her gut told her to trust her instincts and perhaps keep an eye on the old Warhawk just to be on the safe side Lo how the sandon questioned as she ran a hand through her hair which felt much more silky and glossy she also felt positively bursting with energy and also felt much more limber than usual she performed a few quick stretches and found that she was feeling good way better than she had in years she felt as she did back when she was in her prime suddenly an idea crossed her mind the bike couldn't have know could it did it she had to be sure Sensei what are you doing shizun asked wondering what her teacher was about to do she was starting to act a little strangely the sji woman stood in front of the office windows and looked at her faint reflection in the glass she mentally braced herself and undid the Jen jetsu that hit her true appearance watching as it melted away the god A's eyes and shock as she witnessed the transformation or rather the lack thereof as she retained her beautiful appearance the bite hadn't just given her new powers but somehow turned back the clock and restored much of her Youth and vigor how was that even possible yet here she was Sun grinned broadly to herself feeling fresh and revitalized by the transformation Naruto Yaki eat your heart out just try and call me granny now she whispered to herself very eager to reveal her new and improved self during her next session with her favorite blonde speaking of which how was he doing anyway with Naruto niguel's laboratory damn that food was so good I'm stuffed then I have to work out the 20 extra pounds I gained nuto spoke jokingly as he patted his fully belly letting out a loud belch which made Gwen chuckle in Amusement as he muttered excuse me for the belch they entered the darkened laboratory where they saw the sight of the uzumaki's teacher explaining the nature of the spiderverse No Doubt having already explained the parts about the displaced villains and showing off the go home system in the prison level they leaned against a wall with the blonde drummer resting her head affectionately against the Uzumaki shoulder as he whispered to her so how did it go with Miles I got the gist earlier and well sounds like things went sideways yeah everything was going fine at first me and Miles were swinging around talking reconnecting then he invited me to his dad's promotion party and things just started going downhill his parents kept on pestering me with questions giving me these nasty judgmental looks Than Miles tampered with my Gizmo and just thinking about it makes me mad she summarized for her whiskered boyfriend making him slowly nod and understanding what about you how do you feel you didn't really say much she questioned hoping to hear what he thought from his perspective the Gin Ricky was silent for a moment as he thought about his answer while observing the presence of other spider people who were gathering in the lab slowly surrounding an unaware miles including Peter B and Mayday Hobie pavy Jessica Penny Parker was also there in her special spider match suit and a lot of others he didn't recognize I feel kind of myth that Miles delayed you like that though I sort of understand why he'd want to keep someone as incredible as you around Auda whispered back in a somewhat teasing manner making his girlfriend playfully slap at his arm as he then continued to speak this time in a much more serious voice mostly though I feel angry at him because his actions made you cry he finished making her look at him and while his expression was calm she could tell that the blonde was upset on her behalf yet another reason she had fallen for him so quickly he was more concerned for her than for himself she smiled warmly and planted a chaste against his lips allowing him to get a little taste of her favorite watermelon lip balm they shared a small laugh then turned their attention back to Miguel and Miles with the blonde spider couple taking notice of the spider artists Expressions consisting of confusion mostly and another emotion they couldn't identify it would seem that a major bomb had just been dropped on the Brooklyn resident my dad is about to be Captain miles muttered to himself upon realizing that his father could become a victim of one of the recurring events in the history of the spider people the loss of a loved one and or a close Ally the Brooklyn Spiderman bit his lip as he asked when does it happen difficult to say could be the day your dad has sworn in it could be a week a month a year there are usually variations on the event but the themes are almost always the same Miguel replied honestly in truth there was a model of the spider verse that he and lla employed to help predict what they had lab old Canon events however said model was now largely obsolete with the information Naruto had provided after his meeting with the creator of the spider verse itself what am I supposed to do just let him die let the event play out miles questioned angrily which earned a deep scy from the spider society's founder I didn't say that I'm not saying you shouldn't try to save your father I'm saying that it may be out of your hands Miguel tried to explain in a calm manner trying to help the potential recruit reach an understanding of how things worked and that there were other factors and forces at play that couldn't be altered miles turned towards the form of Gwen feeling his cheeks heat up in Anger as he saw that Naruto was getting cozy with her again he then pointed towards the spider drummer and stated your dad as a police captain his words made her sigh as she gave a reluctant nod since that was true though she mostly felt annoyed that he was trying to drag her into the conversation so that's it you aren't going to do anything about it you're just going to let it happen the graffiti artist asked her but she refused to acknowledge Him or dignify his question with an answer would she save her dad if she could yes that went without saying she would put her life on the line to protect him but she also had to accept the reality that even with all her gifts abilities and her protection his time may come one day regardless miles then turned towards the form of the spider parent and asked him what about you what about Uncle Ben would you have saved him if you knew he was going to die Peter beheld his infant daughter close to his inside as he answered I would have no question though it's far too late for that still if not for Uncle Ben I wouldn't have become the Spiderman that I am many of us wouldn't have Uncle Ben taught many of us including me with great power comes great responsibility his death as tragic as it was made us all better people the spider man of Brooklyn sputtered as he felt anger well up in him and then gestured to the holographic form of lla who was hovering over her Creator's shoulder so we're just supposed to let people die because some algorithm says that's what's supposed to happen you realize how messed up that sounds right whoa whoa X squeeze me some algorithm now that's just rude also I think you're taking this out of context you little cedon you want to save your daddy you're free to try we aren't stopping you the AI responded as she adjusted her signature glasses feeling quite insulted at being called an algorithm miles think about this bad things happen that's it if you save your father's life that's all well and good but you should also consider the state of the Multiverse we aren't just working to save one life we're trying to save everyone as many people as we can there are worlds out there that are lost they have to be saved too think Miles think we all have people we want to save we all have people we want to protect with our very lives no matter how much we want we can't of it all I'm sorry miles but that's just how it is Miguel spoke honestly trying to make him see sense the Spider-Man of 2099 then sighed and questioned in a deep deeply grav tone tell me Miles Morales what do being Spider-Man mean to you what is Spider-Man what makes a person Spider-Man the mask the powers or is it something more of philosophy and ideal what is it that makes a person Spider-Man the spider artist didn't answer as he glanced around and noticed the presence of the various spider people that were now gathered and encircling him this quickly put him on guard as he asked in a defensive tone what is this an intervention his questions making the futuristic Spider-Man scoff a bit as he shook his head no we're trying to help you understand now you're just being plain stubborn this is your last chance miles are you really Spider-Man what's it going to be all for one or one for all Miguel questioned as he found himself losing patience with the potential recruit whose chances of joining the society were quickly diminishing by the second as he refused to accept reality seriously you're asking me that am I really Spider-Man why don't you direct that question at him mil spoke and then pointed directly at the form of Naruto who now had a confused expression on his face since he had been suddenly singled out me what did I ever do to you the blonde yuzumi questioned though from the sound of it it was as if he was being accused of something he killed a man he killed the spot now he's using his fairos to take advantage of Gwen if there is anyone here that isn't Spider-Man then it's him the spider artist shouted as he began to stalk towards the whisker teen who was no taking a defensive stance with Gwen doing the same as she prepared to punch out her old friend what are you crazy miles I am not being taken advantage of where did you even get that idea from the spider drummer asked as she wondered if miles had just lost his damn mind okay I'm pulling the plug Miguel interjected as he entered a command on his Gizmo summoning a barrier of crimson energy to contain the graffiti artist to prev prevent him from attacking his student Obie chuckled bitterly as he spoke while circling around the barrier you know miles I was considering taking your side on this I really was I hate rules in big organizations but I hate people that mess with my mates even more Nudo is a why good blo you though can't help but question you and your principles it was at this moment Naruto hummed in thought as he approached the barrier and spoke I don't get you miles where are you trying to prove that you can do what no other Spider-Man has been able to do why who are you trying to prove it to him the whiskered teen questioned as he leaned forward towards the energy field his face now being but a few inches from the trap Spider-Man's who was looking at the blonde as though he wanted to punch him Square in the face trying to prove yourself to the society to yourself to GW your parents Naruto asked as he tried to understand miles motivations then he remembered something from the Brooklyn resident file as he snapped his fingers and then stated I got it is it your uncle Aaron don't say his name miles shouted angrily as he punched at the barrier his reaction suggesting that the Uzumaki had hit the nail on the head oh so that's how it is you lost your uncle and don't want to lose anyone else I can understand that maybe you feel feel guilty for not being able to save your uncle that maybe you can make up for it by saving your father I don't blame you for wanting to protect your family but what are you going to do be as guardian angel 24/7 I know you don't want your dad to die and I can't imagine how it must feel to the jinker he tried to speak and reach an understanding with the Spider-Man of Brooklyn however he was interrupted when miles yelled out stop trying to psychoanalyze me what do you know anyway he then pressed his palms against the barrier and pushed as hard as he could activating his Venom blast to overload the energy field there was a crackling of energy which caused the user tocki to tense up as he felt his hair stand on end and his body began to shake not again he whispered as he tried to keep from panicking as he recalled the signature sounds of the Chidori technique the barrier shattered and there was an explosion of energy that caused all of the spider people to be knocked off their feet it took the spider artist a moment to realized that he was free and then promptly bolted out the door to make his Escape miles get back here stop him Miguel roared as he and the various spider people chased after the now Rogue miles the form of Naruto could be seen lying on the floor as he clutched at as while Breathing heavily narudo when shouted as she quickly ran to her Lover's side and took his hand quietly shushing him to keep him calm and gently stroking his face and then whispered gently to him look at me Naruto just look at me I'm here for you I'm here this time I won't leave you alone again there were heavy and metallic footsteps as Penny approached in her MCH suit and open the hatch allowing her to step out and cradle his head into her lap the spider drummer was surprised by this but was grateful for the extra support for narut the giner Ricki took slow deep breaths to try and calm himself and his pounding heart which began to slow down thanks to the presence of the two girls you okay Naruto the metch pilot asked him earning a KN of confirmation I'll be okay I'm fine he wasn't as bad as the last one you two go on go get him I'll catch up in a minute just need to get my second wind he spoke to them reassuringly they seemed reluctant to leave his side but accepted his words I'll be back Gwen promised him and Ed him on the cheek before Dawning her mask and cracking her Knuckles it was about time that somebody had taught Miles Morales a lesson and she was going to teach him a few lessons Penny climbed back into her suit as the hatch closed behind her as she and her friend departed to join in the chase after the roge Spider-Man Naruto pushed himself off the floor his hand shaking as he grabbed his wrist to steady it and put a stop to the trembling while still taking slow and deep breaths to keep calm you okay there buddy what was that Punk's deal anyway I can't believe that he accused you of taking advantage of Gwen where does he get off on that Lyla spoke as her hologram appeared next to her favorite spider person I'll be fine I just need a minute he responded slowly as he clenched his shaking Fist and closed his eyes before he continued to speak although this time it seemed to be directed to himself Miguel still has faith in me Gwen and the others believe in me there are people counting on me I can't keep freezing up I can beat this I can beat this I can't I won't be scared anymore he took one last breath as his hands stopped trembling and he clenched his fist once more it would be a long road to recovery from his trauma but he didn't want to live in fear or be afraid okay miles I think it's time we settle things I won't let anyone get away with making my Gwen cry with that said Naruto quickly ran out of the lab to find and tracked down miles eager to confront him and stop him before he did something he'd see seriously regret it was time to prove himself for real this time and live up to
