standard characters the ones we love to see in the story but hate to see in our polls unlike tinari and DEA who actually have their own five-star weapons most of our current standard Banner characters don't have a weapon that's really considered a signature you're in for quite a treat today because I'll be sharing my weapon concepts for four characters instead of the usual three the lineup is going to be Kuching Mona Jean and Chi-Chi I'm sure you're wondering where's duuk well sometime in the future I'll be releasing another five-star episode with duuk CLE albo and Jang Lee and the theme for that is going to be five stars who technically have a signature weapon already but deserve to have a better alternative the names are work in progress before we begin here is the main disclaimer I put in all my videos and for the specific guidelines I have when making weapon Concepts I want to bring your attention to a slight change I made in the first two rules when it comes to five stars number one five star concepts are to be judged based on its R1 variant rather than its R5 number two the five star weapon should outperform other options for its intended character within its specific categories it needs to not be a better option on a different fstar character using their own signature if the weapon becomes a four-star unit's best option that's perfectly acceptable I want to break down that first sentence since it's worded a bit differently from my previous videos outperforming other options within a specific category just means it does not have to be the best option in every scenario this usually applies to supports shena's signature is clam quer it's her best in slot for buffing the team's damage but some consider favonius land to be her best in slot because it helps generate energy for the team while both of them are support weapons they are distinct in how they support their team and determining which one is better it will highly depend on a multitude of factors such as team comps or artifact builds with that being said this video will Mark the start of me comparing energy generation with each weapon if it needs to be presented Mona Jean and Chi-Chi are all units with high energy needs so I felt it was important to show how the burst cost gets affected compared to an R5 favonius weapon generally speaking my weapons are better in scenarios where energy generation is already good and Fab will be better in scenarios where energy is much needed anyway the rest of the rules I'll quickly flash on screen because it's stuff we should already know this information will be in the description along with my social media links and credits to music without further Ado let's begin in adventuring as in business you always have to seize the opportunity while it's there with the release of dendro Kuching gained a massive buff via the Quicken reaction she has a lot of great options already with some of her best ones being lion's roar black swword Ms spitter or Loi so there was quite a lot of competition in her splashyard we can see that her sword is actually one that doesn't exist in game but I read a few posts claiming that the sword is supposed to be called Star Seeker the name stuck with me so I'll be using that for the concept it has a base attack of 608 and a crit rate substat of 33.1% it's passive states that when a normal charge or plunging attack deals Elemental damage the user gains one stack of night spark at five Stacks they'll gain the bolt effect which increases Elemental Mastery based on 20 to 40% of the user's attack for 7 seconds if the bolt effect is not active any Elemental skill hits will clear all current night Stacks so the first part of the passive you may recognize from the staff of scarlet Sands it increases attack based on em but this weapon flips that bonus since Kuching was released in a Time where em was not viable on Electro units she was mainly designed around the attack stat and since none of coaching's Base Kit or constellations Grant her any form of em people are more likely to focus on giving her attack stats so with this weapon players can continue to build attack and benefit even more as a result here are the numbers comparing kaching signature with Miss spitter since it's usually her best option for her numbers I decided to show her burst damage with every hit instead of just one of those hits this is due to an ICD r that prevents every single Electro hit hit from dealing its increased damage the hits from aggravate deal more damage with starseeker but the ones that don't aggravate deal more damage with Miss spitter after adding up the entire motion value of the weapon we can see that Star Seeker still deals more damage overall okay so now that I've explained the first part of her weapon let me explain the second part why in the world that I feel the need to add a limitation to the passive the answer is Daddy haam his damage scales in both attack and EM his A4 passive also grants him a damage percent bonus based on his em so when you give him an em bonus based on his attack it ends up double dipping in a bunch of his stats causing Star Seeker to be much stronger on him compared to his own signature Loi the other problem is that mechanically his kit is almost the exact same as coachings you cast their skill and gain an infusion you use their burst and they deal multiple hits of damage and triggering reactions will generally be a common occurrence in their best teams this is what his damage would look like 20 to 25% better than his own signature is a massive jump but there is one mechanic where alham differs from cooing when he has a dendro infusion his hits will also deal additional damage that considered skill damage cooing does not have this not even in her constellations her only instances of skill damage occur upon casting and recasting the skill by removing Stacks upon Landing skill hits this weapon becomes impossible for alhan to fully use his skill damage occurs before he can get the fifth stack so he'll never be able to get that em bonus thus low fire his best option so since we kicked Al haam out of the running for alternative users who else can use it our best contenders will be aaka and aat they are considered viable units but not the best users aaka can use as passive for a melt team but she usually performs better in freeze Ayo on the other hand can use this through a mixture of vaporize bloom or taser comps vaporize in particular stands out and looking at the numbers he will have higher Vape damage than his own signature weapon Haron however he's is required to hit at least five times in his skill form he has around 15 hits per cast so only 10 of those hits would have the EM bonus and of those 10 hits only three or four of them would Vape his own signature would boost all of his damage unconditionally making it much more convenient to use that's all I have for coaching's weapon next up is Mona oh profound secrets of the Stars give these Trailblazers your blessing Mona was a little tricky to figure out because her kid has General mechanics that any other catalyst could easily use but fortunately she has a unique mechanic that has a special Niche we can capitalize on fate Weaver has a base attack of 608 and an energy recharge subset of 55.1% the passive states that casting an elemental burst increases the user's energy recharge by 20 to 40% for 15 seconds when the user skill or burst applies a unique Mark onto an enemy all party members gain a crit damage bonus based on 20 to 40% of the user's energy recharge above 100% for 15 seconds like I said this is a very Niche mechanic a unique Mark is as it name implies when the user applies a special status that deals unique effects a few examples include yia's orus Blaze or child's Riptide Mona's Omen is categorized in the same way so this triggers the passive she also has a unique passive which converts ER into Hydro damage bonus so I wanted to utilize that conversion and have ER buff another stat her own A4 already does damage percent and I didn't want to be repetitive with rid and signature turning ER into attack percent so crit damage came to mind here we can see her personal burst damage comparing her new weapon to Skyward Atlas below that you can see how different ER values affect her A4 emblem and the weapon crit damage bonus the personal damage with an ACD build is going to be a little higher with Skyward Atlas but we have to remember that using this weapon with an attack sense Nets you a lower ER value meaning it'll be harder to burst every rotation meanwhile fade Weaver gives you almost the same amount of damage with less ER requirements using an ER s will provide more crit damage to the team but at that point you'd be hitting almost 300 ER which is very Overkill even for someone like Mona speaking of er requirements this is a comparative chart showcasing the actual burst cost between every weapon and artifact combo for the fav section this calculation is assuming one proc of particles per 15sec rotation to give you an idea of the damage buff in other teams here is a set of calculations comparing G's damage with just Mona's burst and her damage with the weapon passive and here's de's damage using the same setup generally we're looking at a 7 to 10% increase in damage and this is a bonus that applies to every single party member so having good offield DPS units would be very welcome four alternative users we have Nita Lisa Charlotte and hazo Nita will have excellent uptime due to her skill only being 6 seconds but the main caveat is that the weapon limits which team com she'll be able to fully use the passive on in a quick and based team crit matters more so she can play the role of a pure support and stack as much ER as possible for more crit but in a reaction based team crit matters a lot less so she'd do much better with an em weapon her personal damage is also a lot lower with Mona's weapon I even tried doing a lot of combinations for artifact stats to see if any could possibly outdo her signature next up Lisa can apply conductive Stacks onto enemies and this is also considered a unique Mark she can have nearly 100% uptime with the crit bonus and ER is a stat she desperately needs with an 80 energy cost charlot is in the exact same boat high up time easy application and has the need for ER jzo is the character that's the least viable option with a 40 cost burst and an onfield play style he doesn't really need ER at all so stacking that stat is just a detriment to his personal damage however his burst will be able to apply a wind muster Iris which will count towards the passive since he generally works as a driver in reaction teams you can foro his personal damage and use the weapon to boost the damage of your off field party members that'll be it for Mona's weapon let's move on to gan dandelion dandelion ride the wind to a far away land who knows the wind might take it all the way to Celestia Jean's biggest utility is in her burst it heals for a massive amount and allows you to heal over time but the niche mechanic I wanted to hone in on was her animal Aura application it works similarly to Bennett's burst in which it applies animal periodically Talking Stick released in 4.0 and was actually the first weapon that gave Buffs based on whether or not the user was affected by a certain element with all that being said here is Jean's concept goon Hilder Spirit has a base attack of 674 and an ER subset of 36.8% its passive will increase attack by 20 to 40% automatically when the user applies an elemental Aura to a party member that party member gains the lion Fang effect this effect increases their crit rate by 0.5 to 1% and crit damage by 1 to 2% for every 100 attack the user has it lasts 5 seconds and can trigger even if the user is off field while I could have made the base attack 608 and the subset 55.1% I wanted to give Gene more attack to boost her passive additionally 180% ER is a decent spot for her energy requirements this weapon combined with an ER sand puts her at 188.50 if it's still not enough for Gene I believe it's still a solid Baseline where getting the rest of the ER via subsets is very possible moving on to the main passive her self- application is the niche I decided to go with because it's so Niche I decided to give her a larger boost to her team's overall damage crit rate and crit damage are extremely valuable stats for any DPS unit well most of them so as long as you give Jean some attack she'll Grant a very big bonus the bonus only Buffs the active character but it's possible for a unit to snapshot the crit bonus and utilize it even while off field here are her base numbers using different amounts of attack Sands generally I think an ER attack attack setup is her best option so look at the middle column for realistic numbers it Stacks as much attack while still giving her ER to burst on cool down and we can see that it still gives a pretty decent amount of crit stats additionally I'm showing how er and fav particles affect and compare the energy cost of her burst here we assume two fav procs and Jean is catching all of her own particles once again with her signature you may need more ER subsets but it shouldn't be hard to get those to show some examples of damage boosts let's start off with Shia not everyone is going to have Shen Yun so Gene will be the next best option for a Healer support we can also look at the damage boost for a snapshotting character like shanling on average we're expecting a 15% damage increase for the buffed characters for alternative users the best one is Bennett his burst will self-apply pyro to his allies which will trigger the passive it also has a 674 base attack which is currently the highest for a sword the only downside is that maximizing the passive requires him to stack as much attack on his kit majority of the player base uses HP builds for better healing so this will require you to form a completely different build that's all for Jean last up is is Chi-Chi when it comes to Chi-Chi the only thing she does is heal she is unable to generate particles she barely does any damage and there's no other utility she provides within her Base Kit originally I was going to have healing be converted to a flat damage bonus that buff the party but the devs beat me to it with song of days P so I looked at a different way for her healing to benefit the team Chi's weapon is called Restless death it has a base attack of six we and an energy recharge subset of 55.1% the passive will increase normal attack speed by 10 to 20% when the user heals or Over Heals the entire party they gain two to three energy and one stack of Soul Soother all party members gain a 4.8 to 12% damage bonus for every stack of Soul Soother obtained this effect has a max of 10 stacks and will last for 20 seconds a maximum of 20 to 30 energy can be gained every 20 seconds to quickly address why the refinement isn't just has doubled between R1 and R5 it's basically because flat energy generation plays a massive role in how much er a character needs generally five star weapons with this kind of bonus will have a smaller increase between R1 and R5 but there's a second utility or damage bonus that gains a larger buff between refinements this weapon is no exception lower energy increase but a higher damage boost increase to be honest the refinement detail isn't that big of a deal since we're just looking at R1 anyway Chi-Chi has a very interesting niche as a sort healer she's the only one that can heal the entire party multiple times and each tick happens very fast it's a focus on quantity over quality when Chi-Chi is on field with her skill her normal and charge attacks heal the entire party thus granting a stack you have to give her a few seconds of fuel time to get all the stacks but the reward is plentiful the energy helps with getting her burst back since she generates no particles the damage bonus provides the main utility for your party and the attack speed bonus will help you generate sacks quicker its 20 second duration allows you to use Chi-Chi in a quick swap fashion where you can be onfield for a little to get the stacks and then swap off for your main DPS to do the work the downsides are that this will extend your Rotation by a few seconds and in order to maintain Stacks you'll have to swap back in the chii before her skill ends and heal some more alternatively using Chi-Chi as an onfield driver is a much more convenient way to use the passive and I believe it's her best play style you can keep your entire team alive you can proc the clam set every 3 seconds and you can maintain the stacks for the weapon passive this kind of damage bonus isn't something that can be snapshotted but it actually gives you a lot of flexibility in rotations for example if you need to use shing's burst first and then swap into Chi-Chi she'll still get the damage bonus as the stacks get obtained the best character we can compare her weapon to is finina since both of them provide a universal damage percent bonus finina has a higher cap with hers being at 63 at level 8 meanwhile chii has a lower cap at 48 but she can reach that cap faster and maintain it longer but why why are we pitting them against each other in terms of synergy finina and Chichi are perfect together finina needs a Healer to increase her Fanfare stacks and chii is The Game's best healer I tried a few team coms with this core and it's been super efficient in clearing the abyss floors if you use Chichi with her signature and Fen his burst at level eight you can give your entire team a 111% universal damage bonus that is a huge boost in damage here is a chart showing her energy needs at both c0 and C1 I want wanted to address the constellation because Chi-Chi is a standard character so getting a C1 copy is much more common than a C1 of a limited character energy generation will of course be better with favonius but at C1 you can actually consider an attack sense over an er1 the last section shows her overall healing output and this is more important to note in finina teams or any fights that damage you a lot okay so who are the best Alternatives let me clarify one very very important factor I never put the detail that the effect can be be triggered off field this of course means that the user has to be on field to trigger the passive and that limits the viable characters to those who have Team wide onfield healing the only two units who can use the passive are ones who generally want to be off field more so you'd have to be willing to adopt an onfield play style with them in order to use the weapon those two are Gan and finina let's start off with Gan Jean can use her burst and gain one stack no problem she also has an A1 ability that grants her a 50% chance to heal the whole party with her normal attack hits since it's a 50% chance you will definitely be on field longer compared to Chi-Chi the second person is finina her ability to heal the whole party is also based around her A1 passive when another party Over Heals finina will actually heal every party member every 2 seconds over the course of 4 seconds this is actually a lot less easy to pull off than Jean you will need your other healer to overheal someone five times and then getting him to Max STX will take around 20 seconds assuming you can overheal consistently you'll only be able to reap the benefits in the second rotation onward but if you're on MAR instead of golden troop you actually get a really high amount of damage since the crit makes up for the skill damage loss the biggest downside to frea using this weapon is that you have to assume an on Fielder role which many players may not want to do unless they're C6 finina or crazy still for Gan and finina having an on Fielder role can still Produce High team DPS so long as your off fielders can make up for the lack of damage but unlike Chi-Chi who has a few synergies that incentivize an onfield role Gan and finina have more incentives for an off field one but that's going to do it for this video I find it interesting how I had to really double down on the niche mechanics of these characters in order to design the weapons it's ironic that these characters are usually good generalists but have the most obscure weapon ideas I've ever made if you enjoyed the episode please consider leaving a like and subscribing to support the channel let me know in the comments what you liked about my Concepts what you consider changing or any alternative ideas you have for any of the character thank you again for watching and I'll see you next time bye
