school days usually were everyone had been in a bad mood he peaked into his apartment to make sure she wasn't coming and prepared an excuse if she was he did didn't want his mom to worry it was the least he could do for being such a burden on her don't get him wrong she was an amazing mom and never said he was a burden it was just that he hated making her worried and since his diagnosis 9 years ago her face had consistently been scrunched up in a worried look he knew she did try to keep him from noticing her worry but he wasn't blind though if the bullying continued the way it had been that was a distinct possibility he hadn't even been doing anything this time his pencil had needed to get sharpened so he had raised his hand and then walked up to the front of the room to sharpen it the kid who could produce knives from his shins had tripped him with his Quirk activated because why wouldn't he the pain had caused him to black out for a second and the next thing he knew he was on the ground with a bloody nose and shins the teacher hadn't been looking and so he'd had to limp to the bathroom so he didn't get an infection that wasn't even the worst part of the day after class kaken and his group of extras as he so callously called them had cornered him in the bathroom when he was trying to fix his shins they were probably going to scar which was going to suck to cover up during the summer when they had cornered him and kaken had stomped on his f fingers he couldn't help but scream in pain that hadn't helped his situation though it only made it worse for him damn deu kaken screamed as he set off an explosion next to isuku ear he flinched away from the Heat and muffled another scream a fat amount of good that did him since immediately after that fingers bent his finger dangerously back only stopping when they heard steps they faded after a bit but isuku didn't lift his head maybe if he looked pathetic enough they'd leave him alone surprisingly they did Let's Go the movie will start soon one of them said Ken set off some explosions in his hand probably so they knew who was in charge but didn't argue further to C and remember Deca you should just give up already there's no way someone like you could ever hope to be anything like a hero they walked out laughing but isuku stayed on the dirty bathroom floor for longer than was necessary tears threatened to spill of his thoughts just in time to hear the endings of a missing person report they were a kid with the best poker face isuku had ever seen and slightly odd hair they were also around isuku age which made isuku Wonder furiously I wonder why he's on this channel they usually only do missing person reports for extremely important people on here he glanced up but the picture of the two-toned haired 13-year-old boy was gone and instead replaced with a photo of inum isaku smiled slightly andium was a really good hero but his smile quickly faded as the news reporter a gray-haired man with electric blue eyes continued earlier today at 13 in genium called in for backup at his agency when they got there they found him severely injured by what looks to be another attack by the hero killer the hero killer otherwise known as stain targets Heroes he considers to be weak or fake according to past witness reports his family and the idon agency are refusing to disclose any more information other than that he is alive and stable however witness reports state that it wasn't actually him who called in for backup but a mysterious figure on top of a roof is this a new vigil anti or an underground hero if it was a hero then why didn't they stay isaku tuned out the rest of the report as he chewed on his pencil fium was such an amazing hero with such an amazing Quirk if even he could get severely injured what could a weak deu like him ever do he be a liability most likely it would be just so much easier if no one else was at stake he cut himself off could could he find a way to be the only person at risk greater than finally he took out his phone and typed his questions into Google how to be a hero this was not useful at all since most of the information was stuff he already knew and used when trying to convince himself and others that he had What it Took how to only put yourself in danger this brought up a suicide hotline and isuku backtracked if his mom saw this she'd freak out how to only put yourself in danger and her work it was still a suicide hotline except this time there was also a chat room below for active and retired Pros he didn't click on the link no matter how much it made him curious about who was in it he wouldn't invade their privacy anyway it probably had passwords on it and all kinds of safety breaks to make sure only people who needed and deserved it could get in he knew he didn't meet either of those but he still continued Heroes who only put themselves in danger this brought him to a bunch of posts praising all might and other Fearless Pros his finger hovered over the link to one but he hesitated he couldn't get sidetracked he bookmarked the article and continued his search for self- validation he didn't know what possessed him but he typed as if on Instinct into the search bar hoping that this wouldn't trigger a search into him as some kind of obsessed serial killer lover or something stain it was advertisements for wood stain stain the hero killer he clicked on the first article that seemed interesting and carefully read through it his brain picking it apart as he went along stain was a vigilante called stendel who eventually turned crazy and went villain his goal is to rid the world of fake hero what exactly is a fake hero however he doesn't seem to show any signs of who he thinks is a true hero since most of his victims die and those who live are almost always forced to stop their hero work he read the rest of the article though the rest was mostly wild speculation before returning to those lines vigilante why did that sound so familiar he entered it into the search bar before clicking go he scrolled down a bit before clicking on an article that looked promising Vigilantes who are they and are they good or bad Vigilantes are citizens who use their quirks to protect themselves and others some well-known Vigilantes are knuckl duster crawler or sendle who turned to villainy see here to learn more about stain the hero killer Vigilantes are a controversial subject for many citizens and Pros many Pros refuse to work with them and focus on capturing them and treat them like villain however there are rumors that less known Heroes like Manuel Canon do work with them many citizens are split in their opinions they say that some do do good work however too many for their tastes are turning to villainy now for that matter are Vigilantes good or bad many many people find them to be good specifically those saved by them they're Heroes that don't have a license doona says from his home there are however those who think they that they are bad they're attention seeking children they're villains with weak quirks who want to play at being a hero Endeavor said when a reporter asked him his views for someone as high ranking has endeavored to say that surely it does mean something isuku read the article over again Vigilantes are citizens who use their quirks to protect themselves and others even if he wanted to be a real vigilante he couldn't be sinc wait that's it just to be sure he typed one last thing into the search bar vigilante laws individuals without a license or legal Authority using their Quirk is illegal and can potentially be punished with a heavy fine up to 6 months in prison or house arrest for each offense depending on their age and severity of offense isaku didn't find that really feris since weren't they only trying to help but that wasn't the point the specifics were using their quirks and he didn't have a quirk so therefore he couldn't be a real vigilante a faint nagging voice told him he would either be killed quickly or arrested and potentially Tried by a quirkus judge he could get a harsher sentence it sucked but it was reality he cleared his search history he didn't want to risk his mom finding out and worrying about him more he sighed and tossed his phone onto the end table missing and watched it fall onto the floor face down it was probably cracked if his rotten luck today told him anything half jokingly he murmured as he went to grab it if it isn't cracked I'll become a vigilante he flipped it over it wasn't cracked his eyes widened slightly surprised bullies wouldn't get to him but it would make his mom's life much easier if he died or disappeared her face could finally relax and she'd be happy isaku knew that she'd be sad for a little bit but eventually she'd recover right he couldn't help but constantly come back to the notion of being a vigilante he'd be able to help people even if it was a morally gray topic but still all he's ever wanted was to help but he couldn't hurt his mom if he died while being a vigilante it wouldn't be fair he barely noticed that he'd been pacing until AOW boisterous ad for an all might cartoon popped up making him jump he gazed longingly at the TV couldn't he be a hero like him even if it was stupid he couldn't help but wish but today it seemed like his only option was to give up or do something debating morality with himself suddenly an idea came to him what if I just tried it for one night and stopped Petty criminals like muggers and criminals who aren't very strong or smart then if I'm in over my head or it isn't what I thought it was then I can stop while still being able to say that I tried and can move on to other career paths he knew that was probably not how it would play out but he was still excited in a way tonight I'll go out and stop one one or two crimes he thought a bit too excited to be normal this would be how he decided whether he could be a hero or was too weak to he secretly hoped it went well for his sake and whoever he'd be helping tonight he turned off the TV and tried to run to his room before his leg gave out on him and he face planted oh he groaned BBE the company of the problem with him being friendly with them was that they could almost always tell when he was upset not as much as well they were good at reading him he was apparently unlucky as his favorite vendor Bamba someone who he and tensei had known for the better part of seven years since she'd started helping out at her grandmother's shop walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder Tenya is everything all right do I need to punch anyone Tenya let out a laugh laced with sobs no Miss Bamba I'm fine she scoffed jokingly then patted him on the shoulder again you can just call me maso we've known each other for basically your entire life Tenya let out a strangled sound protesting the informality and horrible math that might be true but she was still older than him and he was 13 so 7even years would be a little over half his life she chuckled and handed him an orange juice bottle he looked down at it before checking his pockets for Yen no no it's on the house crying dehydrates you and I wouldn't want my customers to die of dehydration now would I Tenya half smiled before quickly feeling guilty about it and took a drink usually he'd argue that as a future hero he needed to pay but today he didn't feel like arguing the losing battle on a good day they would banter for a good 20 minutes before he finally relented so can you tell me what's wrong or is it personal an amazing prero he was the best one after all dad he feared the answer his stomach was still churning uncomfortably and he shifted in his seat uncomfortably why is tensei he couldn't finish the stared down at the slightly grimy floor they should clean it though with the amount of villain attacks that hit this station in this area maybe it's a losing battle to try and keep it clean or maybe they do and this is the remnants of a recent villain attack that they haven't gotten to cleaning up yet he hoped that there were no villain attacks when they went to visit tensei Tenya a voice called and he jerked his head up coming he called as he got up and speed walked over to his parents they sat on the train in Silence the countryside sped by and soon became nothing more than a blur he ran his finger along his cheek to check for any stray tears he didn't find any he sat back in his chair not relaxing but not as tense his brother was fine they had had to make trips to the hospital before though none of those times had he gotten this sinking feeling or his parents been so worried did it mean something he longed to sleep the journey away but his brain wouldn't let him it buzzed with fears what if he isn't okay what if stain comes back for him what if he dies he sat up hitting his head on the window frame it was like a breath of fresh air he ignored his parents concerned looks and along the way it seemed to be only a few seconds before they were at the entrance of the hospital Tenya tuned back in and continued following his parents like a duckling his mom walked up to the desk and started talking to the woman can we visit ensei we his family the woman nodded and turned to her computer yes just give me your IDs Tenya grabbed his school ID and put it on the counter his mom and dad were not far behind she picked them up likely to verify them before nodding to them you can visit however he may still be unconscious room 25 they went into the elevator and his father pushed floor to when the elevator doors open Tenya couldn't help it he bolted towards the room he swung open the door after checking that it was in fact room 25 and not some poor person a doctor held something out to him but he ignored it tensei he yelled someone grabbed his shoulder stop we're trying to keep his room sanitary the last thing he needs is to get sick Tenya clenched his jaw but accepted the mask the doctor was thrusting at him he put it on before quickly taking the chair next to tensei he looked at his brother his role model and clenched his fist over and over stain would pay for this he looked looked at his brother who looked small in his hospital bed nothing like the presence he Gran to know how dare stain do this to him tensei jerked slightly and his mom's head shot up tensei Tenya asked hopefully tensei's eyes slowly opened for a few seconds they closed again but before they could think he was asleep again he opened them Tenya tensei was looking directly at him his oxygen mask fogged up before clearing forgive me Tenya for not being better no you're amazing you're a great big brother and hero I can't tensei cut himself off and turned his head towards their with her for the TV brought up a new photo replacing the one of ingenium this one was slightly grainy but still recognizable Tenya stared at the slightly grainy photo whoever the mysterious figure was looked suspiciously like the person who he'd seen duck into an Alleyway earlier that's interesting he thought hero or vigilante we have to thank whoever they are if it wasn't for them it is entirely possible that the Beloved hero in genium may have died really Tenya thought his fist closed over his pant leg if it wasn't for them then tensei might be dead he couldn't help but sigh in relief however they were even if they were a vigilante which was not very admirable in tenya's opinion even though he couldn't help but fantasize about stopping stain and punishing him for hurting tensei he had to find and thank them if tensei was dead well he didn't know what would happen then he'd probably do some less than legal things at least now he's only thinking about doing them yes he decided he needed to find and thank them maybe now that he thinks about it if they aren't the person who helped tensei or they a paranoid vigilante he might end up getting hurt he probably needed a good plan to thank them and definitely not to keep his mind off revenge after all Revenge isn't heroic maako poked at her white rice absent-mindedly she didn't really like it but it was fairly cheap and she didn't feel like she was wasting her parents money when she brought it she absent-mindedly doodled on her homework that she just couldn't seem to concentrate on her parents were more worried than they usually were she had heard them late last night talking about their money troubles and hushed voices as to not wake up SAA what are we going to do her mom asked in hardly More Than A Whisper aako had to press her ear against the door to hear I don't know Ika the construction business is barely staying afloat we're spending more money than we're making for all three of us I could pick up another shrieked loudly people looked at them again and aako barely kept from face palming sometimes she wished she had the courage to speak as loud as fujioka did it would be useful for when she started du oh right aako still didn't get it on the news report they talked about a vigilante who apparently called for help instead of inum and then stayed nearby to help inum and he's the reason that inum didn't believe out before paramedics could arrive mhm he might be a vigilante but I think he's still a hero aako looked at her hazle eyed friend still a hero she asked herself while fujioka continued praising the Vigilante that vigilante is a hero they're so cool I wonder who they are and the picture shows that they're probably younger than 16 or just short wouldn't it be cool for them to be a vigilante at our age wait no probably not yeah aako said still only partially listening maybe she could be a vigilante then her parents wouldn't have to worry worry about money as much and she'd get to help people much sooner but she didn't want to leave her friends and family behind she flicked her hair watching it bounce on her shoulders she really wished that she could do something to help out face was all too too familiar a half smashed white helmet lay near the man shto shook from his spot he pulled his hood up and threw a rock at the murderer's face he looked up in sho's Direction shotto froze and stopped shaking out of pure fear when he suddenly realized who he was shodo Endeavor barked glowering at him yes father shodo said glaring back at him we're going to hu why shodo asked don't talk back boy we're going to catch stain and so you'll get over this childish Rebellion Pac now shotto nodded before turning away to get what he needed maybe this would be his chance to run away he'd himself as he didn't get back up again cautiously he approached the man and checked for a pulse like how tensei had taught him for a fear inducing minute he was unable to find one finally he figured out the proper position to put his fingers in and found it he sighed in relief then almost had another heart attack when Yuki materialized out of seemingly nothing right next to him he barely fought had to step in some number of times to prevent robbery it become a sort of Rhythm walk for minous six blocks see a robbery stop the robbery and run back to the nearest police station unfortunately this Rhythm was almost their downfall why are there so many thugs out tonight Tenya questioned as they drag their fourth mugger to their police station night is when many criminals lurk but less your computer also keep your personal information off of this computer as much as possible he pointed to his name in the corner isuku flushed well if you am he stuttered a winced sorry if that was find their patrol routes he rubbed his eyes exhausted he couldn't even find the guy who he'd run away from before even with the basic description of gray capture scarf absolutely nothing was brought up finally he brought out his own computer following the advice ITA had given him he hacked into the police database doing his best not to leave a single trace finally after nearly 20 minutes of carefully searching through information on criminals and pro Heroes nowhere near what he needed he figured out the two pro Heroes most in the area at the time he felt comfortable in and try and catch him eraser head the hero he'd ran from a few nights before in titanium a hero who could manipulate metal she was known for working with Vigilantes if the time called for it however eraser head was a wild card the most information in the database was information on where he sometimes worked and his his hero name there was nothing on his civilian name or his Quirk or a stable Patrol route who was onto a tall black-haired girl about isuku age while she struggled her arms starting to Glow three engaged in a fight with Yuki and the other three fighting Su and aako the black-haired girl seemed to be having the most trouble aako and Sue kept trying to get to her but the thugs they were fighting kept getting in their way isaku to jump down into the midst of the fight but he knew unless it was Dire he would just end up being a hostage as well suddenly an idea popped into his mind he leaned further over the railing down towards the strange girl you there Shin kick she seemingly got the idea and allowed them to lift her into the air before slamming both her heels into their shins before his words registered in their minds they let go cursing the girl took off running towards the other girls before letting her lower arms continue glowing was that her Quirk she made a T before swirling it expertly and swiping the criminals legs out from under them they both fell to the ground with curses she quickly made what looked like a rope and tied them around their hands while they squirmed while that was happening both Yuki and Aid knocked their criminals out and rushed over isaku got off the fire escape that was so cool how' you do that aako thankfully was wearing her surgical mask while bouncing around the person they'd save I just used my Quirk she whispered so quietly isuku barely could hear her I don't worry we don't care that much cause we she cut her herself off because you're Vigilantes the girl asked ape isuku and aako both made undignified noises it's fine though I fact that he isn't currently it's likely one that is not useful for what he's going to do or it's better for surprise attacks which means that someone should get him soon he glanced up and saw his friends staring at him in the dark he couldn't tell what their facial expressions were he glanced towards the man who was a pace behind the girl go they startled as if they'd forgotten about him and helplessly around not entirely sure what to do do you know what happened he chose to ask hoping that it confuse her enough for her to react in a different way H she sounded confused but not because of what he'd said she sounded drunk but his mom did occasionally drink but when she did she barely changed from her sweet self the oddest she'd ever been was when she started crying because she thought towards her pocket and isuku glanced around panicked none of his friends were in sight had they left him he barely had a second to wonder that before he felt the woman Lurch forwards as if she'd been attacked what that she started before loosening her grip isuku yanked his arm away from her and stumbled backwards someone grabbed his wrist and pulled him forwards he stumbled before quickly regaining his footing and running after Yuki who released him he heard other footsteps following him and he hoped that meant all of them had come they ran over the roofs before jumping down into an alley they ran for what felt like hours but was probably only a couple minutes finally they slowed down and isuku did a quick headcount sighing with relief when all five of them arried greenchan are you okay aako asked isuku nodded still breathless yeah I'm sorry for what AA asked isuku flushed for you know almost getting caught don't worry that was a hero so it was no one's fault anyway it could suggested Sue cared but if we hear one will still save them they agreed and exited the alley isuku and aako still a bit in the back I'm so glad I've helped at least a bit isuku smiled smiled softly tugging on his hoodie a bit suddenly a soft Flack of something hurtling towards them came isuku grabbed ao's hand and tried to pull her out of the way but they both were soon wrapped up in some kind of rope achako gasped in pain as she dropped her cane and put too much weight on her leg and isuku kicked blindly out he connected with something but they barely flinched just readjusting the bonds so he couldn't reach as easily isuku struggled frantically but it was feudal the string like thing was too strong with one of his arms pinned to his side and the other tied to ao's wrist are you all right green Chan and oku Sue asked as she turned around the other Vigilantes turned their heads too before freezing hey let go of them ha yelled his leg stiffening Yuki raised his right arm and Sue slowly started to creep into a shadow Yuki suddenly paused looking down at his hand what the figure shifted silently the only reason isuku knew he did was because he felt the Rope move slightly guys run aako said panicky isuku nodded KIRO Sue said from the shadows as she jumped at the man holding them from what he heard he dodged isaku turned his head around as best he could hoping to see the person maybe if he saw them he could find a way to escape without chako as the man jumped backwards into view isuku froze raised black hair that was hard to see in the dark yellow goggles over his eyes and a scarf Noah capture weapon around his neck there was no doubt about it this was a racer head isaku paled as he stared at the hero fighting with his friends aah kicked at the hero's shoulder but missed the racer had tripped him and as ID staggered he punched him in the gut and knocked him to the ground aako yelled in shock before she slipped into isuku head isuku barely kept them standing up he hesitated for another second before starting to flail harshly about if he distracted a racer head maybe his friends could Escape he glanced around at all of them still fighting he and aako likely wouldn't Escape they'd already been decommissioned and in less than 2 seconds even if they did get free aako was injured enough that running would be impossible guys you have to run he screamed you can't get caught remember he coughed his voice already sore how did present Mike keep this up like hell we are Yuki yelled throwing his right arm out Yuki paused looking down at his arm and eraser quirks work together to fight him please you're the best shot for us to escape they barely hesitated as ID gently set Yuki's head down and ran at a eraser head faster than he could without his cork activating eraser had jumped away from the fast attack and in the process loosened the weapon around isuku and aako you're a clever one a raser had mumbled as he jumped to the side then over su's head nearly kicking her while he was distracted isuku and aako quickly started to work to wrestle theirselves free even with it being loosened it was still tedious work a seed Sue started before getting tied up and flung into ID's side they collided hard and let out Yelps they laid their stunned finally isuku freed himself from ao's side he quickly felt more vulnerable and sad but threw that feeling away as he ran to a raser head's blind spot aako started limping away from them knowing her injury would slow them down a raser head turned his head towards her and isuku stiffened knowing what he was planning his feet moved on his own and he ran towards a raser head leaping up onto his back the raser head reached back and grabbed izuku's bicep and started pulling isuku could feel himself starting to fall off his back and he dug his nails in eraser head flung his head back into isu's chin and involuntarily isuku reached his hand up to protect his chin then eraser head flung him off isuku skitted along the sidewalk hissing as his side burned against the pavement in one quick motion eracer head tied Sue and ID together and planted his shoe that clinked like there was metal in it on clenched his jaw trying to think of a way out of this none of them could be caught he curled in on him self it was useless here maybe if he hadn't spoken up they could have come up with a better plan specifically to call him greenchan right sorry green Chan I do not in fact think she's going to hate you she probably won't care she is going to think I'm an idiot Sue seeming to pick up on what he was doing softly started to speak to him don't worry greenchan she might think that for a bit but she'll change her mind K isaku started wiggling out from under a racer head making sure his movements were clearly going towards Su and he wasn't sure exactly what he was doing but this part of his plan depended on a raser head allowing him to escape from his close vicinity after a few agonizing moments a raser had cautiously lifted his foot off isuku isuku determinedly did not look back at him and instead scrambled over to Su and Ida hugging them while making himself look small he made sure to let out quiet sniffles and sobs every once in a while after a few minutes of drap himself over Sue and a who was looking more uncertain by the minute and Sue just blankly sitting there he could hear clicking from where eraser head was and then quiet talking I've got four Vigilantes on Fort Road by the West Subway entrance all look like firsttime offenders I'll need an ambulance and a squad car isaku internally pumped his fist it seemed in all the chaos eraser head had forgotten about aako while he was talking he started to undo the bonds around Sue and a yes no whatever isaku finally freed them before quickly putting a hand hand on both of their shoulders looking Sue in the eyes he nodded to his right and then moving to ID he nodded to Yuki then to where he pointed Sue to go they both mutely nodded and shifted ready to move he glanced back at a raser head who was glancing at Yuki as he started to look back at them he gestured hoping they'd get it they did as eer ran to get Yuki and Sue ran away isuku leapt at a racer head's face grabbing at his goggles doing his best to cover them so he couldn't see what they were doing the racer had started to struggle but unlike before he was decidedly more gentle with isuku his mistake isaku dug his nails into a raser head's forehead ignoring the hiss that escaped a raser head's mouth he looked over his shoulder ad was carefully but quickly removing Yuki from his position he nodded to himself and looked over TOS who was in the process of Disappearing into an alley while he was distracted he got punched in the ribs he winced and Drew back slightly one of his hands slipped from a raser head's eyes and he could see something red glaring at him from the other side he kicked a racer head in the stomach and hurried backwards the racer head took a step towards him and isuku realized he' forgotten to come up with a plan to escape himself but before anything else could happen two quick loud cracks rang from where a raser head was and he collapsed forwards behind eraser heads hopefully unconscious body aako stood holding a pipe in her hands hey green diamond isuku smiled back at her and waved you came he yelled before clapping a hand over his mouth but she didn't seem offended instead she giggled and gestured at him come on let's go before the people he called get here she crouched down beside him presumably to check his pulse before standing back up and starting to carefully limp away isuku nodded though she wasn't looking at him and followed her sidest stepping the unconscious hero easily he flushed finally what he'd done to escape sinking in he honestly could not believe that it had worked so greenchan sue started and he paled before turning red certain he knew what she was going to ask why would you do something stupid like that where did you learn to act so well I just wait what where did you learn to act so well Sue repeated bringing her pointer finger up to her cheek he hesitated looking for a double meaning before realizing she was waiting for an answer I honestly do not know how I did that I thought it wasn't going to work and I'd just look like more of an idiot than before I think it only worked because he assumed I was younger than I truly am and that was what I was hoping for but if he didn't care or knew what I was doing it wouldn't have worked so it wasn't really acting skill but luck don't downplay yourself so much green diamond I've known you for a short while and even then I wasn't sure whether or not you were acting you were great ha said Yuki on his back still knocked out isaku nodded he didn't think AER realized what he was implying h thanks guys he said come on hurry up before the cops get here aako yelled s HHH isuku hastily said looking around to
