[Music] good morning welcome to today's video it is a requested one a lot of you have been asking what I eat in a day and I think this plays into the new year and a lot of folks looking to make healthy new year's resolutions especially when it comes to food and you know that I believe in a healthy lifestyle I'm not a dieter I don't believe in diets I just believe in healthy living so I'm really really happy to share with you what a day of food looks like for me let me start off by saying at this time it's about 10:30 in the morning for me my day started really early I was up at 6 to bring my son to school I then came home and went back to sleep because I work late at night and I would never make it from 6:00 a.m. until 11 p.m. so during that time with him I only drink water I don't have coffee I don't have food I'm just not hungry and I'm up now so the first thing that I'm going to consume the very first and there will be lots of it and that is coffee [Music] so when it comes to milk in my coffee I'm really trying to cut down on dairy I have an organic 2% milk which I cut with this product this is picnic coffee creamer it's made with MCT oil grass-fed butter no added sugar a grass-fed whey protein and I also add a little bit of coconut milk as well unsweetened so I'm basically doing 1/3 1/3 1/3 that way I get a little bit of my milk in there but I've got healthier products mixed in [Music] [Applause] [Music] I like to sweeten with the nature via stevia tabs three little tablets do the trick today's paper create a strategy to avoid food temptations I guess we're all on the same wavelength round two so it's now close to noon and I finally have an appetite my first meal of the day usually hits at around lunchtime and I've mentioned this in a previous video before but this is my staple breakfast I just love it I have a egg easy over and it's a pasture-raised no hormones no antibiotics and I also will have half of an Ezekiel muffin and Ezekiel is sprouted grain and it says here on the outside it has wheat barley beans lentils millet and spelt it's flourless 1/2 of a muffin has 80 calories has 15 grams of total carbohydrate and 4 grams of protein so because it has the beans and the lentils there's actually a protein component in this as well and then i will use pure butter in the frying pan and on top of my little muffin here see just need to default it for about 15 seconds it'll go in the toaster salt pepper I like the pink Himalayan sea salt [Music] okay so let's talk a little bit about the morning routine and some potential modifications for you some of you may be on a gluten-free path and if that's the case I just want you to know that Ezekiel does have a gluten free muffin if you're interested in trying this product it's located in the frozen food section of your grocery store it cannot be refrigerated cannot be left out because it is a sprouted grain it needs to be frozen my morning routine is essentially my lunchtime routine I'm a believer in intermittent fasting and what that means is I eat during an eight-hour window of the day so my first meal will be somewhere between eleven and twelve o'clock and my last meal will be at 7 p.m. so after that last meal I'm going all the way through it's it's an 18 plus hour period of not consuming food and I'm going to provide a link that explains a little bit more about intermittent fasting why I believe in it the health benefits from it but I just think education is key when it comes to things like this so anyway that's how it works for me the next time I eat will be before I head to work and it's produce produce produce hi again so even though this is a what I eat in a day video it wouldn't be right if I didn't incorporate movement which is very much a part of my day I love to do a three-mile walk in the neighborhood on days that I'm not trading with Paul and doing weight workout or body resistance workout I just think movement is critical for a healthy lifestyle to get the blood pumping to be outdoors it just makes me feel good and I've also had about two bottles of water at this point so hydration is key and just drinking a lot of water throughout the day hi there we're together again but now it's lunch time and this is where I load up on vegetables I like it he pan helping a salad I throw every bit of produce I can find in my kitchen in my plate I throw on a little bit of protein and I just devour it what can I say so I'm starting with some romaine triple washed lettuce and then in this bowl I have chopped up celery carrot avocado cucumber red and yellow bell pepper and so I'm going to maybe a little bit more and then freshly washed cherry tomatoes look few about fresh cilantro I'm going to add a few pieces of grilled chicken breasts right here just break it up Organic sprouted pumpkin seeds I'm just gonna sprinkle across the top to it and I'm using Bragg organic apple cider vinaigrette shake well [Music] and voila that is a party healthy happy lunch in my book [Music] this is absolutely delicious you got all the produce imaginable protein some healthy fat nothing sustains you like this oh and by the way I always chop a lot of vegetables for salad for the next day and I take it and just seal it with some cling wrap and put in the fridge we all hi I'm stuff like a tick and now on my third bottle of water and I'm bringing snacks with me to work I always bring roasted lightly salted almonds I love them I'm a believer and nuts and healthy fat and they get you through the day so in we go and out we go see it work I don't know there was just something about being at work and I'm wanting a nossa kind of a snack so that's where the lats come in handy this way I feel satiated while I'm working hmmm I'll show you my stash just a little note on nuts be careful not to overdo it they are high in fact even though it's a good fat you don't want to get too much into your diet you want to save room for other things so just a handful will do so Nick and I eat out a lot just because of my schedule and my dinner window is just from about 7:00 to 8:30 so I want to show you that you can make healthy choices while dining out so do you have unsweetened iced tea I'll take that in it does it come in different flavors just regular regular regular unsweetened I'll take that with stevia [Music] great thank you I think what I'll do is I'll I'll start with a salad just a mouse salad so to correct I'm gonna do the sea scallops but can I get everything on the side everything on the side and then I think I'm gonna do a side of asparagus [Music] the experience chase it all down all right back at work and sufficiently full closing it out with my absolute favorite drink I cannot get enough of these buy drinks I love the coconut ones but I've consumed all of them so I'm having a dragon fruit hi I'm back home it is 11:00 12:00 at night the day is done so is my food consumption I hope this video was helpful for you and just showing you a little slice of life what a day's worth of food looks like in my life but let me also say this and I will preface this with a message that I got on Instagram last weekend after dining out with my husband I got a message from a really sweet girl saying oh my goodness I was at the same restaurant where you were tonight I saw you eating bread you're human yes I am and I will eat bread and I will have pasta and all of those wonderful fun things at a dessert on occasion but here's the deal my feeling is is that if I eat healthy like this 90 percent of the time then when I go out on the weekends on a date night or a party or whatever I'm gonna cut myself some slack and I will enjoy some of those things that are tasty their treats whether it's bread whether it's a skinny margarita or - I'm a firm believer in that and then I know the next day just to get right back into my system and what makes me feel good and so when I have those cheat days if they don't impact me I don't have the negative effects of eating that food all the time my system is in place and I go right back on it and it's guilt free and it's fun and I don't believe in regrets and I just believe in doing the right things so there you go the lifestyle I won't even call it a diet cause it's not in a nutshell comments suggestions and ideas for future videos I really hope this
